I knew Japan wouldn't be on the list. They still love carrying loads of cash around.

The 'secure cloud', huh? I think history has pretty much had its say, showed us clearly that there is no such thing.

Although I applaud the innovation, I can't help but squirm a little at how much we are supposed to keep in 'the cloud' (this idiotic word). Photos, personal details, business documents... And the funny thing is people just do it. Without thinking.

Tom, Yeah, it's either a wad of casholero or proprietary, domestic payment solutions that rule here. In some ways, I can definitely understand the hesitation to using credit cards for everything. What I cannot understand is the belief in all things local. Japan, much like Korea seem to love to buy locally instead of buying the best products.
