Bigfoot has raised eyebrows with its high-priced “Killer” network cards

It's not a "killer" network card, it's the Killer Network Interface card. Or if they prefer it's Killer™ network card (and legally they should be doing it this way, since it's a registered trademark). There's plenty of "killer" (meaning excellent) equipment out there, but as with Fatal1ty equipment, it's the brand name that's the focus.

Qualcomm, a maker of processor chips for mobile phones and other devices

LOL, the understatement of the year. For your information, Qualcomm is actually bigger than Intel. They only don't like to brag about it....

Only by about 4 billion in market cap actually, 108 to 104. But yes, saying they are "a" maker of chips is like saying Yaskawa is "a" maker of automated robot arms.

But while qualcomm makes phone chips, they are far better known for all the other chips they have in wireless industry. Basically, if you have a wireless device, be it cellular or wifi, you have either Qualcomm or Broadcom chips in there, regardless of who supplies the CPU. Even behind the scenes they power a whole bunch of equipment including switches (through their partnership with Cisco) and more. Very much an understatement.
