They don't validate the host name, apple does the same thing incorrectly. All communications to apple servers can be broken by man (NSA) in the middle attacks.

Ha! You can't make online communication safe. There are very talented people being paid a lot to break through any security barriers. The best security is to just not use online communication, which today is nearly impossible.

So, the next best security is don't transmit anything you don't want to be made public or stolen. Think before you click send.

If you want to become famous one day in something that will anger Western governments. Don't reveal anything on the internet they can link to you.
