Earlier this week, Google vowed to step up its efforts to block ads on “hateful, offensive and derogatory” videos.

Why not ban these videos in the first place, those seem more appropriate for Liveleak.

As part of Google’s solution to the problem, Schindler promised to hire “significant numbers” of employees to review YouTube videos and flag them as inappropriate for ads

I can't imagine a worse job than having to review YouTube videos. Watching the videos you want is one thing. Being required to watch the drivel people post is an entirely different thing altogether.

At one time my art/music videos on YouTube had over 3 million viewings. I removed everything when The Tube started sending me letters telling me I had copyright infringements. It was all my own artwork and all my own music written in Logic. Someone was stealing my work and then were allowed to put their ads on my pages. Disgusting. I quit the Tube.

Hey let's just control the internet. People shouldn't have the right to watch what they want. It's undemocratic.

Just by the way, and on the other hand....does this mean users should also be able to select who can advertise on their channel?

And I see your true colors shining through...

This is only the first step folks on a journey to total and complete control of thought processes. Enjoy the ride!!
