The Grand Hyatt Tokyo, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary in Roppongi Hills, has begun a renovation project for its 387 guestrooms and suites, which is anticipated to be completed in the spring of 2014. As of April, 2013 more than half of the renovation project is complete.

“As we enter our milestone year, it is a great pleasure to offer renewed guestrooms with new fixtures and enhanced functionality,” said General Manager Christophe Lorvo. “The guestrooms will maintain the same warm, inviting ambiance for ultimate comfort using natural materials, while incorporating Japanese aesthetics and enhanced technological functionality to cater to the needs of both business and leisure guests. Business travelers will now have desktop connectivity to keep them online and connected away from their offices, while leisure guests can enjoy enhanced functionality of high tech entertainment such as Bluetooth-compatible TV and music connection via TV speakers. Our guests will continue to experience authentic hospitality as we provide the highest standards of products and services.”

Grand Hyatt Tokyo has commissioned DAS Concepts Inc, the original designers of the hotel's guestrooms and public areas for the renovation project. While maintaining its original warmth and ambiance, the design concept focuses on Japanese aesthetics, comfort, functionality and enhanced room connectivity. Guests will now have the convenience of plugging in their portable PCs, iPhones and other electrical equipment while faster Wi-Fi connectivity will enhance communication speed from their desktop where a comfortable Oxford chair will be set. Guests who are looking to enjoy leisure can now utilise the TV to enjoy music, videos and photos. Spacious bathrooms providing relaxation and comfort are upgraded with LED mirrors to cater to our female guests. In part of our suites, lighting table lamps by renowned Danish lighting solutions brand Louis Poulsen and the latest B&O wireless music systems are installed.

In addition to the renewal of the guestrooms, guestroom corridors are being installed with new carpets, exuding a sense of luxury and opulence. As a lifestyle destination hotel leading the market industry in Tokyo, Grand Hyatt Tokyo will continually strive to offer innovating products and services to our discerning guests. more
