Not sure the timing is great for tourism to BKK, but anyway.

Sorry? What's wrong with the timings for Tourism. Arrives early enough in Bangkok to connect to anywhere in Thailand for the evening and late enough in Bangkok to be able to check into a hotel room. Leaves Bangkok late enough for you to be able to get from anywhere in Thailand after checkout or to be able to have dinner in Bangkok before your flight. Don't see your point..for tourism anyway.

I apologise hoserfella - I see your point. However, don't think you will find there is much a problem travel wise.
