The past year saw a record number of tourists visit Japan’s shores to experience the country’s fascinating blend of historic shrines and temples together with its innovative architecture and ultra-modern cities. Very subjective list. Other than Legoland (which I wouldn't bother with, having spent a week in Nagoya last year), I've experienced the other four with lengthy visits, and could provide another (albeit subjective) list of places I think are a lot more indicative of Japan's culture. But that's just me.
