P'shaw. Who comes up with this drivel? Oh, I remember: its a horse race!!
This isn't Clinton's problem. Its a Republican problem. Trump 'rising' is just Republicans coming home.
Yep, Donald Trump is the Republican party.

Third party choice anyone?
CrazyJoe
One has to ask, how is that anyone, let alone Donald Trump, can be a party to over 3,500 lawsuits over the past 30 years? (source: USA Today, June 2, 2016) That is roughly 10 lawsuits each and every month for 30 years.
Add the six bankruptcies to this and a rational observer has to question Trump's business acumen.
And the GOP is putting this guy up for President?
Strangerland
Bring back Obama.
Well if your alternative is Trump, then yes, you most definitely should go with the third party choice. Gary Johnson is looking good.

Indeed. Bernie is back. Fighting the good fight, which includes not merely endorsing HRC, but arguing for her:

'Rational' is the key word. Trump voters have an agenda, and it's breaking down America from what it is. For some of them, that means breaking the current political system. For some, that means breaking the advances made in minority rights in recent decades. But there isn't a single Trump voter that is voting for him because he will make the system better, they're all doing it so he can break it.
Hillary wants to build. Trump wants to break. But in this day and age of instant gratification, breaking things makes people feel better with that sudden release of anger, than taking time to build things does.
The adults among us know which one is better in the long run though.

Regarding Trump supporters (who are about 40% of Republican voters):
Yes, the deplorables are nihilists. They know the've lost and have surrendered to a fantasy of returning to the past. This has happened a lot throughout history. Never turns out well. For anyone.
The other half, the ignoramuses, are just hopeless. The current system has left them behind. And they lack the imagination and the the humanity, to vote their and their nations interest. Instead, the're giving the 'ol stick-em-in-your-eye vote.
I find both these types have a lot in common with the Ishihara types.
They ask themselves: Oh, where have all the good times gone?
The answer is, of course, they never had a chance. There is a reason why they are on the bottom of the social ladder.

It's all going to come down to the debates, and it's going to be Clinton's to lose. I'm curious as to how she plans to react to Trump.
Strangerland
She's a lawyer, and a skilled debater, so hopefully she will do well.
I could see Trump just talking over her the whole time though. He can't afford to let her speak.
Turns out Trump used $250,000+ from his charity to settle lawsuits against him (not his charity) and to buy paintings of himself. Money donated by other people - to charity.
Turns out this supposed multi-billionaire needs charity, because he can't settle lawsuits where he was found guilty. And he needs charity because he can't afford paintings of himself worth tens of thousands of dollars.
And he calls her crooked?

I think, barring an asteroid, etc, it all comes down to the ground game. 1-3% is what the ground games gives a candidate. Trump will most likely be within 5% of Clinton come Nov. 8. If Dem voters don't turn out (which they will) and Repubs do (which they will, but not as much) then Trump has a shot.
Not likely. But a shot is a shot.

I'm not a huge fan of Clinton, but Trump is so much worse on all counts. He may not have a political track record to prove it, but there's more than enough evidence of it elsewhere (see the link).
Trump is a master when it comes to dealing with the media and crowds, but that's only useful during an election. Trump will not shake things up in Washington, because he doesn't know how. The government is not the media. If you can't bring yourself to vote for Clinton, vote third party and hope for a better candidate next time. It's not too late. Wake up people.

The normal American people, not hindered with globalism or being emotionally compromised can see Hillary for what she is, and many are starting to open their eyes as well. Perfect example is Trump gets thousands of people at his free rally's, but this is what Hillary does...
And then she cancels this one in North Carolina. Hillary is a Neocon/Wall Street/central banker/establishment stooge. It just cracks me up that the lefties support her and think she's a democrat. Let's see if she cancels her rally in Florida tomorrow. She might get 300 people. If she does cancel, then we'll know she still has an allergy problem.
MrBum
Clinton has a lot of problems but she's part of the Democratic party, a party that is supported by true progressives like Elizabeth Warren and Sanders. Clinton may be a Neo Lib, but she has to answer to the likes of them. Progressives are the only group in government that speak out against Wall Street/central banker/establishment corruption.
Trump is an entertainer who's great with crowds. He has no clue about governing. It just cracks me up that his supporters think he'll do anything but do as his establishment advisors tell him while he preens in the oval office and uses political donations to buy paintings of himself.

Frankly, the electorate have a little choice other than a Clinton presidency. Trump has little, in fact no experience of Government, or political office. His credibility to carry out the duties of commander in chief are self-explanatory.
Clinton will at least be supported by a party apparatus that will hold her fork tongue to account.

Some opinions are closer to facts. How many more investigations run by who will change your baseless opinion? She might've been dishonest, but it resulted in nothing aside from the hurt feelings of less than half of the victim's families. The Republicans investigated Benghazi about a dozen times, wasting who knows how many hours and tax payer dollars. Meanwhile the Wall Street bankers that caused the financial crisis have yet to be prosecuted.

And when it all goes to hell like it did with Bush, you'll disown him and act like you never liked him in the first place.

There are millions that are not buying the Hillary line. I'm just going by her history.

Come on, the Dems racked up a $10 trillion debt and they complain about the cost of all this, but turn a blind eye when racking up the national debt? As far as Wall st. Is concerned, then you must really agree with me that Hillary should be behind bars.

polling shows a tightening national race and — most unnerving to Democrats — a Trump rise in key battleground states -- article
The topics for Monday's debate were released today. They are:
“America’s direction,” “achieving prosperity” and “securing America.”
These topics bode well for Mr. Trump because they are issues where his strengths lie; especially national security. Mr. Trump has shown just how much tougher he is in that area than Mrs. Clinton.
Expect the polls jump to be yuge for Mr. Trump this time next week.

She's had pneumonia. She's been busy. I think she looks pretty good considering that. She looks and acts like a human being. That is a great quality for a president.
bass4funk
Not buying the pneumonia thing, if she really had it, she could never get back up so fast, maybe that's why she looks pale, maybe she should take a very long rest......or call it quits.
Strangerland
I hear you. I'm not buying that Trump doesn't have the onset of Alzheimer's. Someone could never flip flop so much, and keep repeating the same lies even after being shown video evidence of them saying something else if they didn't. Maybe he should check himself into a long-term mental health care clinic.... or call it quits.
backscratcher
Well, I think you should make up your mind about which excuse you want to use for her quitting. 1) She had pneumonia. I don't think that is a good reason, but you're free to say what you want. 2) She couldn't have had pneumonia because she recovered so fast. 3) She looks pale. (Kind of cancels out number 2, but what the heck, right? Anyway, lots of people get something called "walking pneumonia". She could have had it for a while and just did not know about it. That is until it got bad enough that she did. Now she is feeling better enough that she wants to keep campaigning. Nothing wrong with that. She probably looks pale because she had pneumonia and she's human. Again, not a bad quality for a president.
Why should she?
CrisGerSan
Clinton is a joke she should never have been elected for anything she had no eperinece at all and her record in the State Department was deplorable.
