Australia at odds with Pacific neighbors over harsh immigration policy

Australia is an Asian nation and of the top of my head I can't think of one Asian country who doesn't have a draconian immigration policy.

As a matter of fact, Australia and New Zealands' immigration policies seemed positively enlightened compared to the rest of Asia; with the possible exception of Singapore.

Australia is definately not an asian nation, she is a member of 'The five eyes',the English echelon that is spying around the world. Australia never welcomes asian immigrants but taking advantages from Asia especially China. Her immigration policy is a public affairs gesturing to pretend being a friendly nation to promote trade and income, the fundamental ideology of that country is still 'White Australia' comes first.

No Asian immigrants? Are you serious?

If Japan and other Asian Nations absorbed their fair share of displaced persons. Australia would not need to spend billions on its Border security . When the Refugees come through the right process of immigration they are allowed in after some checks through the front door . People smugglers of misery and profiteers from Indonesia should be charged With Murder and Shot on the spot . All off shore camps closed and money spent re housing them in Australia doing meaningful work . Those that refuse work or to fit in should only be the ones be sent back . Japan has an ageing population would it not be better to increase your immigration than suffer in the future from no workers taxes supporting the aged and infirm.

Australia never welcomes asian immigrants but taking advantages from Asia especially China. you seriously know F all, Australia has about 24million people, 1/4 of all people living in Australia are foreign born, over 6% of the population 1.4million are from Asia, India/China making up the majority of that group.

What's the point in having nations if borders are not secure?
