Charlotte residents denounce officials over police shooting

Systematic racial profiling is a serious problem in the US. So many innocent lives have been lost because of our racist government. A black man is more likely to be shot than his white counterpart - simply because he is black, and "looks" like a bad dude.

A black man is shot while alleged to have been helping a patient who suffers from mental illness, while a white racist man who is alleged to have gunned down 9 black Americans is escorted without any force to the police car. We need to change our perception of who is inherently dangerous. The dangerous people are often the ones wearing suits ( making all these crappy laws ), not hoodies and baggy pants.

. Protests erupted on 20 September 2016 after a Police Officer shot and killed a man claimed by police to be carrying gun in Charlotte in North Carolina. The police also claim that the police officer was having warrants for another person. 12 Police Officers are reported to have been injured during the protests in Charlotte while the protests are continuing after though said to be largely peaceful as on the third night from the incident and after. A state of emergency was declared in Charlotte which is capable of being interpreted to imply that concerned authorities at helm of affairs may have found it tougher and harder to meet the situation under ordinary laws. This is one area where the United States deserves international condemnation.

In my view, police who shoot first -- as they did with John Crawford, Tamir Rice, and a host of others -- are nothing less than complete cowards. Utter, complete cowards.
