AH, the sick woman wants to make a final stand (pun intended)? This will be entertaining tomorrow.

Why in world would anybody publically state how they are going to attack their enemy!? This why people want a non politician compared to a lame duck president who loses wars or "accidentally" bombs the wrong group who is actually fighting ISIS (Or the supposed enemy!).

My guess is Michelle Obama will run for office after Hillary completely blows it tomorrow and drops out! I doubt the Obamas are finished in office yet. Will go BIg MAN AFriCA !

Spot on!

"My guess is Michelle Obama will run for office after Hillary completely blows it tomorrow and drops out"

My guess is you will be completely wrong. That said, it would be great to see a candidate like Michelle Obama with that kind of intelligence, eloquence and class running for office.

Intelligence, eloquence and class - not qualities valued by the deplorable trash. They like knob jokes, name-calling and impressions of disabled people. Each to their own, I suppose.

“And I think one of the things Donald Trump has going for him is he’s got very good instincts.”

He thinks very well on his feet compared with Obama, Clinton and even "master debater" Cruz during the primaries. Dovetails with the insight of this economic adviser on his prep process.

Clinton to press Trump to spell out policy plans in U.S. presidential debate

Waste of time. His supporters don't really care what his policy plans are apart from the wall. And we all know he doesn't have much of a grasp on the issues anyway so that won't be anything new.

Should be fun drama. I think Clinton should take some risks. She obviously understands what is driving a good portion of the Trump supporters. She shouldn't be shy talking about retweets from white supremacists.

Show America what the GOP really is.

5 ( +8 / -3 )

It comes as opinion polls show a tight race between Clinton, a former secretary of state, and Trump, six weeks before the Nov. 8 election.

I still can't understand why she isn't up by 50 points! Oh yeah she's unlikeable.

-6 ( +3 / -9 )

Waste of time. His supporters don't really care what his policy plans are apart from the wall. And we all know he doesn't have much of a grasp on the issues anyway so that won't be anything new.

Waste of time. Her supporters don't really care how many innocent women and children she's killed and displaced with her hegomonic wars. And we all know she doesn't have much of a grasp on "Everyday Americans" (her first slogan but focused grouped out) anyway so that won't be anything new.

fixed it for ya

her first slogan but focused grouped out

So just what are you saying here?

“And I think one of the things Donald Trump has going for him is he’s got very good instincts.”

Trump does not fit for the job. His campaign is run by 1)bigotry 2)fear 3)name calling rant with NO POLICY PLANS.

Your made me realize we have failed a big time in US education. We need to take country back to THINK again! .

6 ( +6 / -0 )

Super...you don't remember? "Everyday Americans" was Hillarys first slogan. The focus groups (well really the establishment) didn't like the populast sound of it. So it was changed to "Stronger Together!"

-5 ( +1 / -6 )

Liz wrote: "He (Trump) thinks very well on his feet compared with Obama, Clinton and even "master debater" Cruz..." ... ... I disagree. Obama thinks very well on his feet. If he were a DA, the prison population would soar. But, if HRC were in the dock...

-6 ( +1 / -7 )

Newsflash for the New York Times and Hillary supporters: Trump has been way more forthcoming on policy plans ( except for telling our enemies what we're going to do and when ) than Hillary has been. Check it out. Sheesh.

Oh yeah, and this is interesting: "Why Donald Trump? Ask Dr. Ben Carson" ( Youtuber A.D. Bell )

-7 ( +2 / -9 )

Trump does not fit for the job. His campaign is run by 1)bigotry 2)fear 3)name calling rant with NO POLICY PLANS.

So why again is Hillary making a big show of bringing VIP surrogate Mark Cuban ? Are you kidding ? The man who promoted that teen porn series, who has pictures on the Internet exposing himself to women ? Who has said famously for the record that he would cross the street to get away from a black man in a hoodie ? Imagine if a Trump backer said that. NYT lead story.

-8 ( +1 / -9 )

I really have no clue who you are talking about now, Lizz. Are you claiming Mark Cuban did all of things? Link please.

4 ( +4 / -0 )

Trump does not fit for the job.

Hillary does? How?

His campaign is run by 1)bigotry 2)fear 3)name calling rant with NO POLICY PLANS.

So what are Hilary plans besides being a Hawk, throwing more money in the form of entitlements and how is she going to make race relations better? How is she going to deal with the out of control Black on Black crime in Chicago?

Your made me realize we have failed a big time in US education. We need to take country back to THINK again! .

So Democrats want to throw even more money down the drain? Tell me, Democrats have done a horrible job with out public schools, so how's Hilary going to fix it and how's she's going to fix the entire PC blabbering?

-12 ( +1 / -13 )

"Why Donald Trump? Ask Dr. Ben Carson" ( Youtuber A.D. Bell )"

Ask Carson if he still thinks Obama will declare martial law. Ask him about grain in the pyramids.

Even by GOP standards, Carson is a gibbering crackpot. This nutcase makes the likes Huckabee, Bachman and Cain seem rational. You may as well canvass opinion the dangerously disturbed ward.

Subject: Coporate Taxes

Donald, you say you want to cut corporate taxes in half to 15%. In the short term, this will definitely enrich the 1%. What I need to know is if these cuts will benefit the average citizen, or only the corps? The presidency is yours to lose. If you don't separate yourself from the hegomonic ruling elite, you lose my vote.

"Clinton to press Trump to spell out policy plans in U.S. presidential debate" That should take him less than a minute to explain, as he has none he's bothered to reveal thus far. After he repeats "It's gonna be huge" and "Make America great again" several times and claims they're policy positions and insults anyone who says differently as "stupid" or questions him on specifics as biased, he`ll go off topic and engage in one of his patented spittle-flecked incoherent rants for the remainder of his alloted time. Stick a fork in him, he's done.

7 ( +7 / -0 )

FizzBit:. Super...you don't remember? "Everyday Americans" was Hillarys first slogan. The focus groups (well really the establishment) didn't like the populast sound of it. So it was changed to "Stronger Together!"

Nope, don't remember it at all.

Democrats have done a horrible job with out public schools

How, specifically? Perhaps you'd prefer Sam Brownback's approach in Kansas. Check it out. Real classy.

6 ( +6 / -0 )

BillMurphy, LOL. I agree. Obama is pretty fast on his feet and talks a good talk. He doesnt walk the walk but thats a different issue...

“You know, if you’re running against a Clinton, veracity is certainly always on the table,” she said. “Hillary Clinton’s casual relationship with the truth is well known to Americans. I’m sure we’ll see it on full display tomorrow night.”

-5 ( +1 / -6 )

Clinton states policy specifics far less than Trump. Just another no substance talking point. She`s got the lefties wrapped around her finger.

-4 ( +2 / -6 )

Hillary went toe-to-toe for 11 hours with a hostile Congressional committee and came out looking better than she went in. Lester Holt and Donald Trump for 90 minutes doesn't suggest to me anything more intimidating than that.

I was laughing to tears. Yep, you have summed up his monkey business campaign. You know so far Trump business empire has pocketed 1.6 million dollars from PAC money. All he had to do is making a moron comment every day to get media's attention to get going. So far, he was riding a horse very well until tomorrow. Also they are running out of campaign money as Koch Brothers refuse to help him. Also he Trump said he is very rich, so he does not need anyone's help. Remember that? Any way Hillary will agitate him tomorrow during the debate, and this moron will lose his temper. We will see.

4 ( +6 / -2 )

I think he's just going to talk over her. Which will definitely cause some people to think he's tough, and vote for him, not realizing that in the real world, when talking to other world leaders, that's going to get him absolutely nowhere.

3 ( +6 / -3 )

I don't think this debate will resemble anything like a debate. It will be another facepalm event.

It will devolve into another tone deaf Trumph info-mercial. Trump will engage in a bunch of name calling and ignoring of facts and questions. It will be as if he were the only person in the debate.

The debate will be followed by tweets about how unfair the process or presenter was and crying about whether he will attend another debate because he was treated unfair or held to one of his statements.

The post-debate late night shows should be good though.

4 ( +5 / -1 )

I think he's just going to talk over her

Well the rule is a 3 minutes rule. If he talks over her, that is a sign of no communication discipline as a Commander in Chief.

Do not worry, we still have a big ammo left to hit Trump hard before election. That is a tax return he has been avoiding to release to American voters. The Senate has just served papers to Trump requesting his tax returns. The rule is listed below:

The Presidential Tax Transparency Act, candidates will, by law, have to make public their last three years of tax returns

5 ( +6 / -1 )

What I need to know is if these cuts will benefit the average citizen, or only the corps?

Obviously, cutting the corporate tax rate to 15% will benefit corps; it's not like they will pass on their savings to their employees or lower their prices. Most 100% will go to their executives and stock owners. That said, your question is not so foolish as it seems. Pass-through entities are a special business structure used to eliminate effects of double taxation by many professionals such as lawyers, doctors - and real estate investors. In effect, the income of single proprietorships or small partnerships is funneled directly to the owners who are taxed once at the corporate rate, completely avoiding income taxes. So while Trump would lower the top tax rate not to 30% as he originally proposed but to 33% (from 36% now), he would still make out like a bandit if he structured parts of his corporation as pass-through entities.

That, plus he would eliminate the inheritance tax. I'm sure his kids are very supportive of that.

We'll see if he's asked about these types of issues tomorrow - and how he feels about the $10 trillion to $12 trillion his fiscal plans are expected to cost the Treasury over the next decade.

@Lizz - I think most of your allegations against Cuban would require some further verification.

He did make the statement he would cross the street if he saw a black kind in a hoodie however, but I think it is necessary to read the context in which he said that.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2636533/Mark-Cuban-comes-fire-claiming-hed-cross-street-saw-black-kid-hoodie.html

I do agree with the point that her inviting him to sit in front is not necessarily a professional move and it is being done to try to intimidate or pester Trump, however I think most of the allegations are not true.

@Globalwatcher

I dislike both candidates, however I think the Senate's move to force Trump to release tax returns is appropriate and the right thing to do. I would like to see a lot more information on BOTH candidates. The American voters are owed this. By the way your comment to Liz about education is ironic as your grammar is horrific. I think you could have made your point without the personal attack on her.

0 ( +1 / -1 )

I do agree with the point that her inviting him to sit in front is not necessarily a professional move and it is being done to try to intimidate or pester Trump, however I think most of the allegations are not true.

Cuban is a bit of a nut, as are most libertarians, but he is truly non-aligned in the long view: he has donated more to Republicans than Democrats and was once suggested as a VP to Trump's ticket, but he has come down decidedly on Clinton's side in this contest for reasons pretty obvious (Trump would tank the economy).

It was a brilliant move. One thing that Trump cannot stand is anyone questioning his wealth. Charges of racism, extremism, tax evasion, gang ties, misogyny, incompetence, ignorance, laziness - all these are water off a ducks back to the Donald. What gets his dander up: questioning his wealth, and being richer than him. Cuban has done both. Clinton was well within her rights to invite Cuban; his presence in the audience will likely greatly unnerve Trump. Should be fun to watch.

4 ( +5 / -1 )

@Laguna - yes it is a brilliant move but it is one thing I hate about what politics in the U.S. has become. Trump is also guilty of the same crap in different ways...his attacks, etc.

I personally think all tickets to the debate should be given at random - drawn out of a hat - whatever. Hopefully normal, working class people, attend. No special invites for either candidate.

I would also like questions for all debates to come from the populace, 1/2 from each of the 2 major parties with a very transparent review of the questions (not all can be asked...that is understood)

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

Wow, the Los Angeles Times has put out an article titled "Scope of Trump's falsehoods unprecedented for a modern presidential candidate"

Link: http://www.latimes.com/politics/la-na-pol-trump-false-statements-20160925-snap-story.html

Has a major newspaper ever made such a declaration about a presidential candidate before? Craziness.

A couple of comments from the article:

PolitiFact, a Tampa Bay Times site that won a Pulitzer for its coverage of the 2008 election, has rated 70% of the Trump statements it has checked as mostly false, false or “pants on fire,” its lowest score. By contrast, 28% of Clinton’s statements earned those ratings.

Here's a compilation of 52 false things he said last week: https://www.thestar.com/news/donald-trump-quickfacts.html

And he calls Hillary a liar?!

3 ( +5 / -2 )

Strangerland, I like the final comments on the LA Times article:

Marty Kaplan, a professor of entertainment, media and society at USC’s Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism, has two theories on Trump’s falsehoods. Perhaps he’s just putting on an act, like P.T. Barnum — a “marketer, con, snake-oil salesman who knows better, knows how to get the rubes into the tent.” Or maybe, Kaplan suggested, Trump is just “completely unconstrained by logic, rules, tradition, truth, law.” “I’m confused,” he said, “whether the whole fact-free zone that he’s in is a strategic calculation or a kind of psychosis.”

I tend to believe Trumph's lies are more of the psychosis end of the spectrum rather than strategic calculation.

3 ( +4 / -1 )

NBC News anchor Lester Holt . . . should fact-check candidates’ statements, although Trump’s campaign said it should be up to American voters to gauge who they thought was telling the truth.

Of course, Trump doesn't want anyone to fact check his garbage. He doesn't want anyone to burst the carefully constructed bubble of hate, willful ignorance, and distrust that his supporters live in.

And the dumbing-down of America continues unabated...

3 ( +4 / -1 )

I tend to believe Trumph's lies are more of the psychosis end of the spectrum rather than strategic calculation.

I think it may be the onset of Alzheimer's. Even when shown video contradicting his claims, he continues to make them. Anyone with a proper memory would realize that what they are saying was wrong. His memory seems to be shot.

4 ( +6 / -2 )

Strangerland, there are many theories this - Alzheimer's or some other form of dementia (unlikely, as it's been apparent for so long); psychosis or some form of pathological narcissism (very possible) - or the real possibility that Trump is narced up on speed. Of course, the second and third are possible simultaneously. Such a condition would go far in explaining his behavior. http://gawker.com/rumor-doctor-prescribes-donald-trump-cheap-speed-1782901680

Trump doesn't distinguish fact from fiction. Starting with his hair. Let's hope the curtain will be drawn back on the wizard and the awful truth revealed beyond any doubt.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

@viking68

An interesting quote. I remember listening to Sam Harris talking about Trump and he described him as finding a wormhole in US politics where the usual rules of conduct do not exist. He put it very bluntly that Trump has convinced people that basically telling people to go eff themselves when they point out his discrepancies is regarded as the new way of being honest and authentic.

It could be that Trump has laid down a new standard in politics. The truth of what you say is no longer the measure of being honest. Telling people to basically go eff themselves and launching into tirades when they point out your lies is the new measure of authenticity.

It's a worrying idea and I'm sure politicians the world over quite like the sound of this.

3 ( +4 / -1 )

Don't throw in the towel just yet, have faith in hilary, made your bed, night as well.

-3 ( +1 / -4 )

Imo both Trump and Hillary are pathological liars.

For whatever reason I see Trump as some sort of cheap, car salesman liar who ended up in politics by chance. A bit of a small time con artist who fool (mostly) ignorant ppl.

Hillary is more of a narcissist imo. Will always remember the time she said she had landed in bosnia under sniper fire, bombs etc. She can trick smart ppl so imo she is more dangerous and manipulative than DT.

Not saying Trump is better but no one can say 'oh, he fooled me!' His lies are so blatant than imo only 'willing' ppl get tricked. Anyway 2 weirdos.

-6 ( +0 / -6 )

Speaking about truth revelation..

Politico Magazine's team analyzed every statement made by both Trump and Clinton for five days and said "the conclusion is inescapable: Trump's mishandling of facts and propensity for exaggeration so greatly exceed Clinton's as to make the comparison almost ludicrous."

Politico found that Trump averaged "one falsehood every three minutes and 15 seconds over nearly five hours of remarks" while Clinton averaged one falsehood every twelve minutes.

Overall, the news outlet counted 87 "misstatements, exaggerations, falsehoods" from Trump and eight from Clinton.

The Times counted only Trump's "biggest whoppers," 31 of them, while skipping "dozens more."

All four of the newsrooms distinguished between the kind of misstatements Clinton makes and the kind Trump makes.

"Clinton has made her share of questionable claims," the Post said, but Trump "at times seems uniquely undeterred by facts."

The Post said Trump "continues to rely heavily on thinly sourced or entirely unsubstantiated claims."

Link: http://money.cnn.com/2016/09/25/media/newspapers-donald-trump-hillary-clinton-lies/index.html?sr=fbCNN092616newspapers-donald-trump-hillary-clinton-lies1215AMStoryLink&linkId=29186232

That is absolutely scathing.

Not that it will matter to his deplorab... I mean supporters though. They already know he's full of it on everything, they just don't care. What they like about Trump isn't his policy, or his (lack of) accuracy, it's that he has made racism acceptable.

4 ( +5 / -1 )

Okay, Trump debate bingo. I have selected 25 words and phrases (feel free to rearrange in any order you like):

Yuuuge - Excuse me - Believe me! - I love this country - I build things - I'm really rich - I'm a nice guy - Worst president ever - China! - I will win over the blacks - Tremendous - I have great respect for - Benghazi - Insult (any will do) - Let me finish - Repeal Obamacare - Build a wall - Illegal - Politicians in washington - Lightweight - Make America great again - On my first day in office - Second amendment - Mexicans - Emails

2 ( +3 / -1 )

@nadaku I'd add 'what have you got to lose', 'rigged', 'Obama might be a Muslim/Kenyan' 'Obama is the founder of ISIS', 'blood coming out of her...wherever', 'the beauty of me is that I am very rich', '... we need global warming', 'you can never be too greedy', 'my IQ is one of the highest', 'they're losers', 'good people don't go into government', 'look at that face; would anybody vote for that face?', 'I'd bring back a hell of a lot worse than waterboarding', 'maybe he should have been roughed up', "They better be careful or I will unleash big time on them", "If you see somebody with a tomato, knock the crap out of them.", "Look at my African-American over here."

Why can't the US use nukes?

Memes and sound bytes for his true believing followers.

Do you think Trump's advisers have warned him against pulling the pouty, smacked arse face? Is that a possible vote loser?

5 ( +6 / -1 )

Do you think Trump's handlers will have him mention that a North Korean newspaper recommended him for president?

Do you think he'll mention his relationship with Czar Vlad? Or will he say he's never met him? Will he bring up the Chinese and other international financiers he owes millions to?

Will he try to explain why he has so many federal lawsuits pending and what he plans to do about them should he be elected?

Will he release his tax info?

3 ( +4 / -1 )

Do you think he'll mention his relationship with Czar Vlad?

Do you think Trump will agree to release his business correspondence with his Russian counterparts if Clinton agrees to release her speech transcripts to American companies?

3 ( +4 / -1 )

A nice compiled list can be found here. I think we can do bingo a few times over.

Oh, well then, based on what Politifact says, we must vote for Hillary, who indisputedly lied to the FBI, and is also indisputedly the biggest liar and the most corrupt and arrogant person ever to run for president.

Nat King Cole ( kind of )

@Serrano You really shouldn't be identifying with this crowd. Trump is dragging you down to his level. Say hello to Ted Cruz while you're down there.

1 ( +2 / -1 )

Serrano,

Oh, well then, based on what Politifact says, we must vote for Hillary . . .

When the facts show incontrovertably that Trump is a habitual liar, then yes, we should vote for someone that is not him. In this case, it happens to be Hillary, and I'm perfectly fine with that.

Hillary, who indisputedly lied to the FBI, and is also indisputedly the biggest liar and the most corrupt and arrogant person ever to run for president.

Indisputably, ou say? Well, the FBI would disagree. And don't even bother with some half-baked conspiracy theory about how "the FBI wasn't allowed to build a case against Hillary." I'll take the professional judgement of career FBI agents over Monday morning quarterbacks like you any day of the week and twice on Sunday.

Meanwhile, how about some proof that Hillary is the liar you claim she is? No, not blogs. Not a series of disjointed tweets. Not opinion pieces from conservative rags. Actual, genuine, actionable proof. You know, the stuff of a legal case that can be one in an impartial court of law.

What? Nothing? You'd think that after some 30 years of trying prosecute and persecute Hillary, the GOP would have come up with something substantial by now. How could that be?

On the other hand, one can't peruse a campaign-related article these days without coming face-to-face with yet another one of Trump's frequent and eye-popping lies. And we haven't even had the first presidential debate yet. Can't wait to see the tally after tonight.

Do remember, the Internet never forgets, even if Trump supporters wish it would.

Clinton to press Trump to spell out policy plans in U.S. presidential debate - headline

As a registered independent voter, I have paid attention from day 1 of this election cycle. What I have found is that Mrs. Bill Clinton really has nothing new to offer. With her, we will still have obamacare, still have common core, still not do anything about ISIS; both overseas and here at home, have a huge influx of illegal invaders and subsequently few jobs for American citizens and legal immigrants. Bringing in thousands more Syrian "refugees" that she advocates does severely impact our budget and we, the taxpayers, will be handed the bill.

On the other hand, Mr. Trump has addressed these issue in the opposite way. It is time to change; not the hope and change that was promised by obama, but real change, a different direction and Mr. Trump is the only one of the two offering that. . . .

-4 ( +0 / -4 )

That said, your question is not so foolish as it seems.

uuuh...What? ...gee...thanks?

I understand that Trump is not the new American messiah. But what he does offer is a break from the hegomonic cabal that's been running our economy and government since the central banksters took over. Just how many women and children do you party politics people have to murder before you realize that you're backing an evil empire for gas and oil?

PS

Laguna About your Clinton Foundation link, I thought it was very disorganized, almost to the point of disinformation. I'd rather you posted something pre-election. Still, I don't think all the info about the Clintons actions in Haiti is available to the public. Wait and see.

-4 ( +0 / -4 )

And trump will press Hillary to publish the details of bribe amounts to get political appointments , favors or if you are a foreign government in the middle east, help from Hillary for who knows what.

-4 ( +0 / -4 )

The pressure will be on Hillary. Trump fans don't really care what his policies are as long as he continues to support a wall and racism.

1 ( +2 / -1 )

Interesting isn't it.....that there is no CNN coverage of the US proxy war on Yemen. Fair weather human rights supporters and in the end, Hillary supporters, the worst of humanity. For they ignore the evil of their ways.

-2 ( +0 / -2 )

Debates or no debates, the fact remains Americans who work and pay taxes will vote for Mr. Trump and Americans who depend on us with jobs and pay taxes because they refuse to work will vote for Mrs Clinton. . . .

-4 ( +0 / -4 )

So you are voting for Trump? I'm voting Clinton.

1 ( +2 / -1 )

Debates or no debates, the fact remains Americans who work and pay taxes will vote for Mr. Trump and Americans who depend on us with jobs and pay taxes because they refuse to work will vote for Mrs Clinton. . . .

Trump has shown this election to not be the typical divide between 'socialist liberals' and 'capitalist conservatives', but rather those who want bigotry to be acceptable and those who don't.
