women should be able to go to the hospital and give up their kids. The kids will be in a safe place and they have a future.

Yes, it sounds like they need to change the "abandonment laws" to allow women to give birth in a hospital and then leave. Or to drop an infant off with police, firefighters, or hospital staff anytime.

Of course it would be BEST if only those capable and willing to care for the infants would have them, but that just isn't the case in reality. It's better to provide viable options than to not, and to hope to reduce infanticide with the viable options, IMO.

No doubt the countries that are the most "progressive" will need the most boxes to abandon babies.

The UN and the European Parliament should get out of our faces and stop trying to their unrealistic laws on souvereign countries.
