The protest cry for "justice" is a false one. The mob doesn't want justice, it wants vengeance. I bet none of the rioters are aware of the statutes or case law that govern use-of-deadly-force scenarios for law enforcement. The rioters think cops get off because of some systemic injustice or corruption. The opposite is true. Anyone with a shred of legal knowledge knows that under circumstances, police have reasonably broad latitude to use deadly force, and the burden of proof in any criminal case is high. If the rioters don't like that, the answer is not a march-turned-riot. Progress does not lie in broken hotel windows and looted electronics shops. They need to go bang on the doors of lawmakers to introduce legislation that addresses use-of-force scenarios and procedures for investigating them.

But I suppose that's not as fun as stolen liquor or as cathartic as venting your anger on someone else's property.

The mob doesn't want justice

Hmm. I wonder what percentage of the those are looters vs protestors. 5%? 10%?

And you feel comfortable saying they are they same.

Nice.

They need to go bang on the doors of lawmakers to introduce legislation that addresses use-of-force scenarios and procedures for investigating them.

Isn't that the job of the corrupt career individuals 'voted' into office? If there's going to be door banging, then what purpose do they actually serve in hindsight?

Progress does not lie in broken hotel windows and looted electronics shops.

It does not. However I'll ask once more. What are the elected officials doing to prevent such acts happening? Why are they placed in offices anyway if not to serve the constituents? Why isn't blame placed on these corrupt individuals who have sat back enjoying the perks while ignoring the reason they're chosen to represent?

Meanwhile, white hillbillies are bringing their open carry AR-15s to coffee shops.

It can't get much more "inflamed" than it already is. They need a law that mandates releasing all police video footage within 72 hours like other states have. Being open and honest is the only way to get any public trust back.

How can someone not holding a firearm drop it?

Where did that firearm come from? One of the cops? If the man was holding a book, it must have been from a cop, right? Personally, I don't carry mine when there are cops in the neighborhood. Not even if I think there is a prowler on my property. Best not to have a stupid mistake on their or my part make simple things complicated. OTOH, I don't live in Charlotte and have never been majorly hassled by police, though a few traffic tickets which were thrown out of court could have been seen as harassment.

It is tragic anytime someone is shot.

It is interesting that it was a black cop, in a city with a black police chief that shot Keith Scott. Subsequently, blacks beat and berated white people, even dragging one guy and beating him, which was caught on film.

They are now indicating that the gun found at the scene had Mr. Scott's fingerprints and DNA on it.

I do agree the police should release more, however I wonder if they are worried about litigation or a trial.

The actions by the mob (many came from out of state) is inexcusable. Heck they even tried to throw a reporter into a burning fire! This is insanity. As the article states - Do white lives matter?

http://heatst.com/culture-wars/white-lives-matter-charlotte/

I would really like President Obama to speak publicly and ask the protesters to please stop and calm down. Their actions are not peaceful protests at all. If this continues the U.S. could find itself on the verge of a race war, which would be good for no one.

Just as the Koch brothers fund the right, George Soros funds this crap!

Do white lives matter?

I guess you didn't get the memo on that one. Suggesting that all peoples lives are equal in value is now considered racist. It doesn't fit the "narrative". That's that kind of twisted logic that political correctness leads.

It's all so senseless. The Tulsa case is much more questionable than the Charlotte one yet they did not riot. The authorities were given space to handle the issue and have brought the white female cop up on charges. She will get a trial and if she made a mistake she will pay for it. In Charlotte, a black cop working for a black police chief in a city run by a white social justice warrior mayor is turned upside down for what? Oh, so another black person could get shot during the violent protests. I guess Obama, Hillary, Kapaernik, and the far Left never thought about that when they agitated the black community to the point where they can no longer control the wrath they unleashed.

It all starts from the top with Obama's constant race-baiting since the Cambridge incident and the Left's use of identity politics. Obama has always been at heart a community organizer and never evolved into the job of President of all of the people.

White people always go on about 'what about white lives'. When unarmed white people are being shot and killed in disproportionate numbers, then there will be something to say about white lives mattering. White lives already matter, which is why a white person can carry a rifle down the street in open carry states without hassle, while a black person will often be pulled over by police for the same 'offense'.

So let's drop this silly trope about 'all lives matter' and 'white lives matter' ok? It's simply a bigoted attempt at deflecting an actual issue, so that it doesn't have to be dealt with.

Actually I believe all lives matter and I do not believe I am in any way a bigot. Probably quite the opposite. However the Black Lives Matter movement seems to have hurt race relations more than helped it.

I think calling anyone that disagrees with the Black Lives Matter movement a bigot is a bit short sighted.

Actually I believe all lives matter and I do not believe I am in any way a bigot.

If all lives mattered the same, then it could be said that all lives matter. Right now, the best that can be said is that all lives should matter. The problem is that in America, black lives don't matter as much. Which is where the whole movement comes from. Do white people have to worry about whether or not they will come out alive every time they have an interaction with the police? As long as they can say no, they will never understand what it's like for people who say yes.

I think calling anyone that disagrees with the Black Lives Matter movement a bigot is a bit short sighted.

That's not what I claimed though, is it.

Will have to wait to identify the object that appears near the feet of the right most person in the image above. It's not visible in this frame.
