Let me guess: someone at the State Department wrote a note to Huma Abedin asking if someone at the Clinton Foundation could loan them a hammer so that Hillary Clinton's latest broken BlackBerry could be smashed. And the kicker: It turned out to be a hammer from Benghazi!

11 ( +15 / -4 )

Okay, let's say Clinton exclusively used a State Dep't server and correspondence still turned up on another searched device. I'm not getting how this is related to Clinton.

Best read this morning: "The proof that the Clintons do not off people is that Anthony Wiener is still alive."

5 ( +8 / -3 )

Such an over-reaction. The FBI received new information pertinent to the investigation and is doing exactly what any law enforcement agency would do, which is to review it further.

I hate to upset the Trump people, but there is nothing here that is going to have any impact on the election.

On the other hand, if Comey said, we have new information, and we are reversing our decision not to bring charges, then that's a game-changer.

It did not happen.

14 ( +17 / -3 )

I'm with Sanders on this.

4 ( +4 / -0 )

Well, clearly Comey is covering his arse! When Trump DRAINS THE SWAMP he doesn't want to go down the sink with it!

Or maybe it's that Clinton back in June mentioned that she wanted to include women in the draft, and Comey has 4 daughters.

A NO FLY ZONE is guaranteed war with Russia

-9 ( +4 / -13 )

Uh oh, time for Bill to schedule another meeting with Loretta and talk about the grand kids.

-5 ( +6 / -11 )

Laguna: Okay, let's say Clinton exclusively used a State Dep't server and correspondence still turned up on another searched device. I'm not getting how this is related to Clinton.

Not sure what you're trying to say. When did Hilary ever use a State Dept server for correspondence?

As part of the investigation of Weiner, devices were taken from both him and his wife, Abedin.

Abedin and/or Weiner may have had emails on their devices that had both Hillary and one/both of Hillary/Abedin listed somewhere in the To, From, Cc, or Bcc fields.

That the FBI is reopening the investigation based on these devices indicates that, contrary to fervent assertions over the past several months from Hillary and her campaign team and the compliant media, the FBI has found emails from Abedin and/or Weiner's devices that were not turned over to them during the investigation of Hillary.

Can you guess at any other scenarios?

-5 ( +2 / -7 )

I agree. This isn't simply that the FBI found other emails. It isn't even clear whether they have the 15,000 or so that she personally deleted. The FBI endgame is to get Huma and Cheryl to turn on Hillary to save their own skins.

-10 ( +0 / -10 )

It's almost cruel to do this to the anti-Hillary bots at this stage in the game. Those people have been taken on a roller coaster of emotions. Let them accept President Clinton in peace.

5 ( +9 / -4 )

Bye bye inept H Clinton!

Will she waddle off or collapse in a heap, and be carried?

Trump for POTUS!

-12 ( +6 / -18 )

As for Hillary supporters, poor judge of character!

A potential Clinton presidency is now OFFICIALLY plagued from the start. All that is left to do now is have Obama go "big man Africa" and cancel the elections due to some kind of emergency‥……

-9 ( +3 / -12 )

Personally, I'm willing bet that that this whole thing is a complete nothing, and that only desperate fools are the ones who will push it. Republicans will be pushing this for the next 11 days, but there's likely no there there.

To be fair, Comey was caught in a difficult situation: Having concluded his investigation with no criminal findings, if new evidence comes to light that recommence gear-grinding, he might want to say. Others disagree, including former DOJ spokesman - not so close to the election, he cautioned.

It is not like this will matter. In fact, it is just another straw - oooh, look, shiny! - that hardliners will attach themselves to during the final ten days before their demise,

Her first instinct is to blame the Russians and whine that the documents were stolen. That is the instinct of a guilt person.

The first instinct of innocent people is to proclaim their innocence.

-6 ( +4 / -10 )

Hope the truth will finally emerge and we will all know what really happened but 11 days before an election, really? These 'new emails' are old news and surely the FBI could have looked into this a bit more thoroughly earlier in the campaign or, let's dream, before the start of the campaign.

Secrecy/transparency (lack thereof) has always been an issue in us politics and it hasn't changed one iota. On the plus side it probably gave us one of the best crime novellist ever in James Ellroy so not complaining here.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

It's almost cruel to do this to the anti-Hillary bots at this stage in the game. Those people have been taken on a roller coaster of emotions. Let them accept President Clinton in peace.

That's what liberals want to think. In a 2 way race, you have 10% of voters that are undecided and in a 4 way, you have 8% undecided, given this new investigation, it tightens, it's not good for Hillary and it can definitely have an impact on her run.

Is it enough to sway voters either way, we don't know how much, but it will have an impact either way.

To be fair, Comey was caught in a difficult situation: Having concluded his investigation with no criminal findings,

Yeah, we all have been reading the Wikileaks, we know.

if new evidence comes to light that recommence gear-grinding, he might want to say. Others disagree, including former DOJ spokesman - not so close to the election, he cautioned.

Oh, really?

It is not like this will matter. In fact, it is just another straw - oooh, look, shiny! - that hardliners will attach themselves to during the final ten days before their demise.

Hmmmm, it won't matter to the Hillarybots no doubt about it, but for the 10% it probably will without a doubt. You can already see it and then you also have a silent part of the electorate that will have some impact.

-13 ( +0 / -13 )

Ah, Republican political terrorism at its "best" again. Put some pressure on the FBI and look what happens. I"ll file this one with the Benghazi stuff in the "keep-bashing-Clinton-for-as-long-as-we-can" file.

Anyone remember how many emails Bush lost again..?

7 ( +7 / -0 )

kabukideath, good post.

-7 ( +1 / -8 )

A freak show circus, both this thread and the election. You know people, the real victims of all this are all of us working class Americans. We are being screwed by all of this. By the idiotic GOP candidate who should be in freak show and not running for office. The establishment candidate who is better qualified but heavily unpopular.

We are losing people. Whether you are a conservative or a liberal. You are losing. We should be asking more form our government than this idiotic infighting that has led to GOP obstructionism, wasting huge amounts of money on investigations that go no where and supporting a fool like Trump for president in the first place.

We are now officially a banana republic of the very worst kind. Congratulations America for making absolute fools of ourselves.

11 ( +11 / -0 )

Can you guess at any other scenarios?

Oh, I'm sure that the alt-right will come up with more than enough for all of us.

1 ( +3 / -2 )

This investigation was initiated by the FBI and I do not think Comey would take doing this very lightly. It is interesting that the initiating event for this was an investigation into Anthony Weiner (estranged husband of Huma Abedin) allegedly sexting with a minor. This is the strangest election I have ever seen.....this is the kind of stuff you expect to see in a movie.

@RainMonster....You put this very well. Yes the American public is losing regardless of being Conservative or Liberal.... big time. Both parties have put forth questionable candidates and I believe both are responsible for the fleecing of the American people and destruction of the middle class.

1 ( +2 / -1 )

This investigation was initiated by the FBI and I do not think Comey would take doing this very lightly.

I agree - and I think he's probably doing the right (as in not wrong) thing here. If he had waited until after the election, it would have been a major controversy.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

Ah, Republican political terrorism at its "best" again.

Since when have the GOP been on the payroll of the FBI?????

Put some pressure on the FBI and look what happens.

Oh, really? But when Obama put pressure on Comey and Bill on Lynch that was ok?

I"ll file this one with the Benghazi stuff in the "keep-bashing-Clinton-for-as-long-as-we-can" file.

Hmmmm....I'm not sure that argument will be sufficient this time around.

Anyone remember how many emails Bush lost again..?

Good one, I actually got a chuckle out it.

FBI announces new inquiry into Clinton emails

Let's hope they place her under arrest this time.

-8 ( +1 / -9 )

@blacksabbath your mental gymnastics are amazing. There's obviously something that can't be concealed anymore. Plus the fbi is looking to redeem itself for the earlier shenanigans. Next eight days should be interesting.

Correspondence made public on Wednesday showed longtime Bill Clinton aide Doug Band describing overlapping relationships of the Clintons’ global philanthropy and the family’s private enrichment.

No suprise there.

“These are illegally stolen documents,” Clinton campaign manager Robby Mook told reporters on her campaign plane. “We’re not going to spend our campaign fighting back what the Russians want this to be about.”

LOL, duck, Dodge, blame. Doesn't make it any less true.

-6 ( +0 / -6 )

Let's hope they place her under arrest this time.

If she's done something illegal. Or do you just want her under arrest even if she hasn't?

There's obviously something that can't be concealed anymore.

Non sequitur.

the fbi is looking to redeem itself for the earlier shenanigans

If that was their worry, they would have charged her in the first place. You really think they didn't know they were going to face republican rage for not recommending charges the first time? Do you think they live in a bubble in which the real world doesn't penetrate?

2 ( +3 / -1 )

“These are illegally stolen documents,” Clinton campaign manager Robby Mook told reporters on her campaign plane. “We’re not going to spend our campaign fighting back what the Russians want this to be about.”

What a mook! So once again, the Dems try to deflect, weave and dodge and blame Putin for their screw ups. This is just too delicious. She still may win, but by God, I am so happy that all of this is coming out to see and know that this woman is the epitome of what a true mafioso criminal is. She belongs in prison and right next to Bernie.

-8 ( +1 / -9 )

"Hmmmm, it won't matter to the Hillarybots no doubt about it, but for the 10% it probably will without a doubt. You can already see it and then you also have a silent part of the electorate that will have some impact."

You mean Trump could add even more to the 67 million voters you claim he already has?

1 ( +1 / -0 )

@Strangerland I honestly don't know what would take to convince other individual is clearly dirty. Face it, the jig is up!! I can't imagine the spin going on in the clinton campaign camp. Let's see if justice will truly prevail.

-4 ( +1 / -5 )

You mean Trump could add even more to the 67 million voters you claim he already has?

Probably, especially what we know now.

-6 ( +1 / -7 )

I honestly don't know what would take to convince other individual is clearly dirty.

I don't know what it would take to convince you that you guys believe in too many conspiracy theories, and that Trump is way worse a candidate for office than Hillary.

Face it, the jig is up!!

Well, polls show a completely different story. I'll face it if she loses the election.

Let's see if justice will truly prevail.

Justice prevails in two ways, if the guilty are convicted as guilty, and if the innocent are not convicted as guilty. I suspect you only meant the former though.

0 ( +2 / -2 )

I don't know what it would take to convince you that you guys believe in too many conspiracy theories.

Does this new email revelation qualify as conspiracy too?

And that Trump is way worse a candidate for office than Hillary.

I think they're pretty much equal at this point. Basically choice between what poison kicks in faster.

-2 ( +3 / -5 )

Fred Wallace, exactly.

-3 ( +1 / -4 )

Does this new email revelation qualify as conspiracy too?

The conclusions you guys are drawing are. The FBI hasn't even drawn any conclusions yet, but you guys have already determined guilt.

That my friend is a conspiracy theory.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

I don't know what it would take to convince you that you guys believe in too many conspiracy theories, and that Trump is way worse a candidate for office than Hillary.

That's quite ok. We believe in printed written documents from Wikileaks, that's more reliable. Regardless of what both parties think or what their supporters think.

Well, polls show a completely different story. I'll face it if she loses the election.

The polls don't show how many people that weren't sampled or that are closet Trump supporters as well.

Justice prevails in two ways, if the guilty are convicted as guilty, and if the innocent are not convicted as guilty. I suspect you only meant the former though.

According to Wikileaks, a lot of the evidence and pay for play, quid pro quo and backdoor deals was hidden or suppressed.

Does this new email revelation qualify as conspiracy too?

Exactly!

-5 ( +0 / -5 )

The polls don't show how many people that weren't sampled or that are closet Trump supporters as well.

I agree, as I've said many times, the polls are interesting in that they show trends, but in the greater scheme of things, they are irrelevant.

0 ( +1 / -1 )

I tend to see both sides of this. Several years ago I had security clearances and I remember the documents I signed relative to the handling and protection of classified information. If some of these allegations are true this is some pretty serious stuff. If I had transmitted this information from a personal device or using unsecured means I probably would have been subjected to a pretty significant fine and tossed in jail.

On the other hand the FBI has indicated they have found something worthy of investigation. Go through the proper process, find out what happened, and take the appropriate action if any laws were violated (which is quite possible).

Regardless this shows a high degree of carelessness by people that should have known better.

Whether people should be prosecuted remains to be seen. Let the investigators do their job and let's see what the outcome is.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Whether people should be prosecuted remains to be seen. Let the investigators do their job and let's see what the outcome is.

That's my thoughts. If there is something deserving of prosecution, it should be prosecuted, no matter who it was. But at the moment, there hasn't been anything deserving of prosecution. We'll see if these new mails turn up anything.

0 ( +1 / -1 )

@ Strangerland. I agree with you. However if classified information was maintained on a private server or transmitted using a non secure means then that is illegal and deserving of prosecution (if the law is followed).

I think the litmus test in this case is whether that happened or not.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

"The polls don't show how many people that weren't sampled or that are closet Trump supporters as well."

Agreed. So where are you getting the 67 million Trump voters from?

2 ( +3 / -1 )

Oh my...

"WIKILEAKS 21 JUST RELEASED: Obama, FBI, U.S. Media Protected Hillary Clinton and Clinton Foundation"

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HWXvMEo3THY

Oh my...

"Wallace: We could have a president-elect who's indicted"

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JOd4icxp0Fk

But no worries, that scoundrel Trump doesn't stand a chance.

-3 ( +1 / -4 )

I think the litmus test in this case is whether that happened or not.

That is self evidence what happened when classified information was found on the Clinton server, which Huma also had an account. FBI has admitted that is what happened. They just have some bs reason that she didn't intend it to be there (or whatever).

-5 ( +1 / -6 )

Even if she's indicted, Obama can pardon her. She is truly above the law.

i can't stand her sleezy smile. Whenever she is in trouble she gives that sleezy smile or she laughs for no reason. She is a nasty woman.

-5 ( +2 / -7 )

i can't stand her sleezy smile. Whenever she is in trouble she gives that sleezy smile or she laughs for no reason. She is a nasty woman.

That's how I feel about Trump. I can't stand his sleazy grin. He is a nasty man.

3 ( +6 / -3 )

His grin ain't sleezy, it's genuine, unlike Hillary's.

How anyone can vote for Clinton at this point is beyond comprehension.

-3 ( +4 / -7 )

Did Hillary laugh at the presser today ? That is her normal way of dealing with questions that she doesn't want to answer. That and reading the answers to questions she has been given in advance. And lying of course.

-3 ( +3 / -6 )

It's simple. The Clinton's are corrupt, and have SOLD their office to the highest bidder. Hillary used and destroyed a private server, for the sole purpose of hiding her nefarious activity from public scrutiny. Multiple government agencies are corrupt and complicit in helping Hillary evade responibility and Justice. The entire Obama Admin. has participated in the cover up and shares 100% culpability. The Obama Admin are co-conspirators. This entire gov't. of old burned-out 60's era baby boomer hippies have to be removed from office, including every anti-American federal gov't. employee (such as Lois Lerner at the IRS). We need to apply Bleachbit to our entire Federal gov't.

-2 ( +4 / -6 )

Heh. GOPers make Charlie Brown look prescient when confronted with Lucy and the football. It appears that the emails were neither to nor from Clinton and were likely simply duplicates of those already disclosed.

Again, Comey was in a tough spot re whether to publicly disclose this avenue in his investigation, but now that he has, he's undertaken a responsibility to provide some answers soon. Both campaigns are demanding it. This is not a good day to be Comey.

1 ( +4 / -3 )

2016 erection shocker: Hillary has been weinered!

President Trump has a nice ring to it. I'll get used to it quickly.

0 ( +5 / -5 )

Strangerland:

What? People are arrested on suspicion all the time. It's the job of the courts to determine guilt, not the police.

0 ( +4 / -4 )

WOW! Even CNN is all over this! The FBI would never reopen a case unless this new evidence was a real bombshell. This is deep my friends, Hillary can't spin it and Huma is in hiding. The sh!t has finally hit the fan.

At least this has taken attention off voter fraud. It's already begun with early voting! Read the sordid details here of this thug's despicable behavior. http://iowapublicradio.org/post/des-moines-woman-says-she-voted-twice-trump-because-polls-are-rigged#stream/

How anyone can vote for Trump at this point is beyond comprehension.

3 ( +4 / -1 )

Two thumbs down for due process? Lol. Stay classy, hillbots.

-4 ( +1 / -5 )

The FBI wouldn't reopen the Clinton email investigation,12 day before voting begins unless there was sufficient evidence to warrant it. Hilary Clinton furious demands that the FBI Director Comey publicly explain the issue doesn't inspire confidence and implicates Clinton temerity.

There is nothing remotely subtle about Trump the tramps campaign, absent of political finesse, Trumps political acumen, a perverse bull in a china shop approach, rendering swan lake in bovver boots a pleasing sight .

Every time Trumps stoops to new depths of vulgarity the electorate are being denied the ability to probe, examine and put Clinton misgivings under scrutiny.

It's excruciating viewing watch Clinton racing to a possibly landslide victory by default without due diligence

-2 ( +0 / -2 )

Just say 3 hail marys tonight and when you wake in the morning maybe it will all but have been a dream. It is certainly a nightmare for hillary.

-5 ( +0 / -5 )

It's excruciating viewing watch Clinton racing to a possibly landslide victory by default without due diligence

Good point! Why has no one ever thought of investigating Clinton before? Think of all those decades during which investigations into every little nook and cranny of her life could have been conducted; instead, she was simply left alone. Eleven days before the election: Americans demand due diligence!

4 ( +5 / -1 )

What? People are arrested on suspicion all the time. It's the job of the courts to determine guilt, not the police.

Yes and no. It's the job of the police to gather evidence and the prosecutor to determine whether there is a likelihood of conviction.

The FBI wouldn't reopen the Clinton email investigation,12 day before voting begins unless there was sufficient evidence to warrant it.

You're right, they most definitely wouldn't reopen the investigation unless they knew there was sufficient evidence to warrant reopening the investigation. New emails warrants further investigation. It does not imply guilt. It simply means that there is something new to look into.

The FBI would never reopen a case unless this new evidence was a real bombshell.

That's faulty logic. If there are new mails, and they didn't look into them, they would be rightly criticized. There are new mails, necessitating further investigation. There is nothing so far to suggest anything more than the presence of new mails.

Once again the right shows that they are more than willing to convict upon suspicion rather than actual evidence.

James Comey, grandmaster of The Game.

-2 ( +0 / -2 )

Crook & corrupted Hillary urged Comey to release the new found info as F.B.I.(fix be in!) still reviewing thousand of new emails. What a hypocrite, she lied and breached thousand of emails under congress' subpoena that should be known to public, and got away through an early sham F.B.I.'s investigation of her server! The Clinton foundation would be investigated and exposed if justice dept. & IRS not under Obama's control. The Clintons left office broke, and now pocketed themselves $ hundred of million, just because law doesn't apply to them? Clinton cartel and their machines stop at nothing to induce a new low to U.S. politics including the office of presidency. Which Hillary are her minions voting for?

-5 ( +0 / -5 )

The FBI hasn't even drawn any conclusions yet, but you guys have already determined guilt.

Hence why I wrote next eight days should be interesting.

-5 ( +0 / -5 )

CNN headline "Clinton DEMANDS answers". Oh NOW she wants to get to the bottom of something? All the other emails she was perfectly fine for those to be reviewed by the State Department like 2 per day and have them released after the election. Strange how priorities change, now she wants transparency and speed.

-4 ( +0 / -4 )

Lesson learned: Don't share your computer with someone doing stuff that is likely to attract legal attention; such as sexting with a minor. So, the police were doing forensics on Weiner's computer and Huma's stuff turned up during the search. Huma, of course, is joined at the hip with Hillary and the rest will become history. Skeptical minds will wonder if the police were really after Tony's computer in the first place.

Hi Laguna , HRC is a skilled and experienced political operator, evasive by nature, the investigations have failed though insufficient evidence, possibly/notably through the deletion of essential email communications key to indicating HRC alleged duplicity.

However further disclosures from hacked emails, dismissed as unacceptable intrusion from an aggressive campaign launched against HRC from a belligerent Russian Government aided and abetted by the Russian security services has successfully shut down any further scrutiny. A choice between HRC and Trump is, day by day, leak after leak, innuendo after innuendo, appearing like the electorate have little choice at all. I

t's HRC, and to hell with the consequences. Just an opinion. Can you honestly predict which political caricature Hilary Clinton will be deploying in her first 100 days in office?.

I agree Strangerland, HRC has to be afforded a fair and even platform to respond to any new FBI investigations. There must be not implications of guilt, and the FBI must conclude it inquiry with as much transparency where deemed necessary or applicable.

-3 ( +0 / -3 )

turbotsat: James Comey, grandmaster of The Game.

Comey for President, 2024!

-6 ( +0 / -6 )

Has Trump revealed which international 'financiers' he owes hundreds of millions of dollars to? Has he said how he will repay them?

Why hasn't he released his tax statements? What is he hiding and why hasn't Wikileaks tried to hack info on Trump's businesses?

5 ( +5 / -0 )

I'll say the same thing I said before: I'll accept the FBI's outcome, whatever it is.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

The numbers from the early voting have come in, and Trump's landslide has overwhelmed Hillary's dead and illegal voters.

early voting shows trump leading with a national average of 82% of the vote.

Now that they know she will never be President and not able to carry out her threats, the corporate media, FBI, and just about everyone else have shifted into survival mode to try and salvage their public image/reputations by actually investigating/reporting/prosecuting the Clinton crimes and corruptions.

Of course, Hillary is still safe on the espionage case because that secret would threaten the entire government, but pretty much everything else is fair game.

One question: Will Obama trash his own legacy by issuing a blanket pardon to save Hillary from Prison!

-4 ( +0 / -4 )

...HRC alleged duplicity.

Rock&Roll, That's one thing I don't get about emailgate: Complicity in what? The basic issue comes down to intent. As one lawyer put it: "There are lots of statutes that deal with the mishandling of classified information, but what they all have in common is that it's intentionally or knowingly reckless, not careless. If carelessness were sufficient, we would have indicted half the government."

Even Gen. David Petraeus, who knowingly and willfully passed binders of classified information to his lover while having an affair, avoided any felony conviction or jail time - and his intent was to forward his agenda and burnish his reputation as some kind of strategic genius.

Clinton has admitted careless practices and apologized for them many times. So, please tell me, where is the duplicity?

3 ( +3 / -0 )

early voting shows trump leading with a national average of 82% of the vote.

Yeah, I give that about 1:1000000 odds of being true/accurate. As far as I know, no president has ever got 82% of the vote (in the US).

0 ( +2 / -2 )

I agree, as I've said many times, the polls are interesting in that they show trends, but in the greater scheme of things, they are irrelevant.

To Hillary supporters, I think you're absolutely right.

You're right, they most definitely wouldn't reopen the investigation unless they knew there was sufficient evidence to warrant reopening the investigation. New emails warrants further investigation. It does not imply guilt. It simply means that there is something new to look into.

But it imply "possible" guilt otherwise you wouldn't have the FBI prompting an re-opening on these files. Is it something nuclear? We just don't know, but obviously something is of great concern and they feel it is pertinent to look deeper into this.

-5 ( +0 / -5 )

bass: Is it something nuclear? We just don't know.

For Republicans, this is the most wonderful time of the year.

I think the preferred Fox News method is, "If she (insert crime), and so far there's no evidence that she did, but if it's true then she's guilty of (insert broken law)." Example: If she knew these emails existed and didn't turn them over, and so far there's no evidence that she knew, but if she did she's guilty of lying to the FBI and surely would be forced to drop out of the race.

Repeat for as many crimes as you can imagine and see which one sticks.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

Hi Laguna, a number of assumptions I believe we both would agree on, with the choice on offer we would vote for HRC (taking into account I don't have a vote). HRC apologies aside, a politician of HRC longevity, it is inevitably that there will be occasions of falling on stony ground. Trumps campaign a busted flush long before pussy gate, was never going to more than a pipe dream. Did vote Trump really believe he was anything more that an ultimate protest vote? .....

The alleged duplicity, alleged being the optimum word , and everything being equal, my opinion and suspicion is the deletion of 33,000 emails although HRC insistence of being personal, past behavior, the time line between discovery and apology is open to accusations of duplicity. HRC action have been dubbed extremely careless. However one of the most intuitive past statements the FBI Director made.

“Although there is evidence of potential violations of the statutes … our judgment is that no reasonable prosecutor would bring such a case.”.....

That is a sure fire two way cover bet, to hedge against possible future leaks or disclosures. Another telling factor is neither Clinton or her campaign team were afforded any advance warning. FBI director Comey is falling back on the try and trusted “felt an obligation” to inform Congress of the new review.

0 ( +1 / -1 )

But it imply "possible" guilt otherwise you wouldn't have the FBI prompting an re-opening on these files.

By that logic, it also implies 'possible' innocence.

Which makes the implication of something possible entirely meaningless.

Repeat for as many crimes as you can imagine and see which one sticks.

They've been trying for two years, and still haven't found anything.

-1 ( +1 / -2 )

Ah yes, alleged. 11 days to go and Congressional Republicans have spent millions already and couldn't pin Clinton to anything so they bring this up now. This is desperation from their base and regional races to not be painted by the Trump sinking ship. They have to look relevant or else be swept away. Much like the trolls online

2 ( +3 / -1 )

Ah yes, alleged. 11 days to go and Congressional Republicans have spent millions already and couldn't pin Clinton to anything so they bring this up now.

Oh, but bringing up 30 years of Trump's past now, seriously? Also, Hillary has one ally to help in all of this: Obama and the DOJ and I used to think Comedy, but maybe I was wrong after all. The man finally grew a pair. Kudos!

This is desperation from their base and regional races to not be painted by the Trump sinking ship.

So, you are saying, the GOP made a deal with Comey and he decided to open up an investigation on Hillary? ROFL

Emails just haven't captured those voting for Clinton to not vote for her. Trump has made sure women won't vote for him. . Trump isn't a choice on any demonstrable level. People unsure may go one way or the other yes but at the end of the day you will still have 4 years to make another choice.

The other thing is that the hyper partisanship will probably cause threats directly to Clinton to emerge because the email isn't working and hasn't been working all year. I wouldn't be surprised if she's relegated to the Pope mobile while the lunatics gather pitchforks and bae at the moon

350 to 400 electoral votes possible to tell those pitchforks that they are meaningless and voiceless

2 ( +2 / -0 )

Cliton days are numbered like Cherry Bloosom. Trump is so happy like kindergarten boy whenever Cliton is in trouble. Trump said during second debate, I would put that nasty woman behind bar. Is she really deserve for that?

-4 ( +1 / -5 )

I strongly believe that Hillary Clinton is innocent until our final legal decision. That is the difference between constitutional democracy, based on fairness and reasonableness, and the pathetic whining of "rigged election," 'corrupt system," "locked up" one's presidential candidate made by a former sexual predator who maliciously self-confessed of his sexual assaults on the women for decades. Trump's true residence should have been a prison cell. Congratulations to the lawyers who have offered bono services to Trump's sexual victims, and the investigations into Trump's probable connections with our enemies. The sooner Trump is jailed, the better for the public safety.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

She is going to win. Regardless. Period. End of story ! GO HILLARY ! 1/20/17 - "Madame President" !

1 ( +4 / -3 )

That is the difference between constitutional democracy, based on fairness and reasonableness, and the pathetic whining of "rigged election,"

The ironic thing is that so far the only person caught rigging the election (she voted twice) was voting for Trump.

If Hillary loses, the election was rigged.

Rock&Roll, thumbs up. Hillary hit a perfect storm with the email fiasco: her penchant for privacy verging on paranoid (but understandable considering the three decades of persecution she and her husband have been through); her technological illiteracy (she's 69, after all); and the lax and disorganized structure of electronic communication that pervades government.

Still, Occam's razor eliminates the idea that she has been hiding anything, for it would certainly have been discovered if she had, considering the level of scrutiny she's been under. Remember, the emails in question here come from a personal PC of her very closest aid for over a decade - it would be unusual if there WERE such correspondence there. This will very much likely turn out to be another nothing-burger once the mails are examined, though - probably scheduling and gossip and whatnot. That's why Comey is in such a hard place: having informed Congress he'd wound down the investigation, he was bound to inform them that he'd started it up again even if he's simply chasing his tail and covering his but at the same time - no easy task (just ask my dog). I do not envy him.

Clinton will be a fine president, particularly with a very strong backbench well to her left keeping an eye on her (irony: Hillary is in many ways much more conservative than Trump).

2 ( +4 / -2 )

I cannot help but think that surely, true Americans are remaining silent to avoid being ridiculed by Hillary supporters, but when election day arrives, they will vote to throw out this corrupt family. Trump may have flaws, but the continuous revelations of dishonesty and outright criminal behavior by Hillary and her supporters is truly shocking, making Watergate look like a cub scout prank by contrast.

I'm certain Ms. Clinton thinks this is the most important national election of her life. It isn't to me.

The crazy people in all political parties who nominated these losers are to blame for our lack of choice in a President. At this point, I'm voting based on damage control. Even the 3rd and 4th party candidates have crazies as a choice.

It won't be either a rep or dem.

Reviewed the ballot for my location recently. Lots of other, important, decisions to make too. Love how the questions on the ballots are dumbed down and 1-sided for what the writer wants as an outcome.

0 ( +1 / -1 )

There's not a shred of doubt remaining as the bright, surgical lights have exposed the most corrupt duo in American history and made certain what many of us knew a long time ago from past scandals. It's astonishing, however, that so many have chosen to ignore the ramifications of this stain on America and will still vote for her. Those same people have ignored policy altogether, and even cheered when she announced at a rally that she would raise taxes on the middle class. They know not what they do. The right to vote is a hallmark of our Constitution, but failing to look deeper beyond the social media veneer of "news" in order to make a decision speaks to voters who are dangerous to our republic. That's what a dumbed-down educational system and heavily-biased media have created.

-1 ( +2 / -3 )

It's astonishing, however, that so many have chosen to ignore the ramifications of this stain on America and will still vote for her.

It would be astonishing if there were a viable alternative to vote for. In the current climate though, she's the only sane option.

-3 ( +3 / -6 )

That's very disturbing timing. There is not much new about the Clinton mail case, I do understand Americans that find her behavior unfit. But here you get the FBI manipulating data release schedule and intervening in the middle of the biggest election. They had to reveal everything they had, about any candidate to Primaries, last year, then keep silence and neutral during election process. They investigated the mails long before the Primary, they had all the warrants to search all the computers of Hillary's team, and that included the computers of Abudin and her partner.

-1 ( +2 / -3 )

she's the only sane option.

I think you want to say the only "Insane" option. The writing is clearly written on the wall.

I think you want to say the only "Insane" option. The writing is clearly written on the wall.

“Get even with people. If they screw you, screw them back 10 times as hard.”

--Donald Trump, 2011, in reference to a woman who failed to introduce him as he would have liked

This is the man you want representing and leading the United States. Talk about insane.

2 ( +4 / -2 )

Who is she going to pay off this time?

Black Sabbath: "I'm with Sanders on this."

Sanders... oh, yeah, the guy who most likely would have beaten Trump, but the DNC went with Hillary instead. As it turns out he capitulated anyway.

Stranger: "when election day arrives, they will vote to throw out corrupt Trump."

He ain't in yet. You'll have to wait til Jan 20.

Stranger: "she's the only sane option"

No, Trump is, even if only to keep criminals out of the White House.

-3 ( +2 / -5 )

The chronic and systemic political corruption of Obama/Clinton Democrat minions that have been covered up by elite Democrats, their partisan media and complicit Department of Justice's FBI, could only be exposed by foreign cyber hackers.

The Democratic part of the US federal government is like the old Soviet Union, with a closed, secretive, paranoid elite desperate to prevent the truth getting out to the wider world. In Communist Russia, the apparatchiks of the state warned citizens not to listen to western radio broadcasts under the bed covers at night. In America, CNN's Chris Cuomo warns you that it's illegal for you to read those Wikileaks emails. So just leave it to credentialed media court eunuchs like him to let you know if there's anything in them of any interest. Which, judging from the networks' coverage, there isn't. The Clintons are not Democrats or Republicans. They are selling out the country for the good of their wallets.

-2 ( +4 / -6 )

No, Trump is, even if only to keep criminals out of the White House.

How would putting a criminal in the White House keep criminals out? That makes no sense.

But What do you get out of this?

Satisfaction.

The ironic thing is that so far the only person caught rigging the election (she voted twice) was voting for Trump.

Well, there are other places in California and Arizona to name a few.

If Hillary loses, the election was rigged.

Hate to say this, but for the good of the country, I hope so. Also, you don't have to worry about it, you're not American, so it doesn't affect you at all.

I cannot help but think that surely, true Americans are remaining silent to avoid being harassed by Hillary haters,

Why? Are they afraid of eye-rolling, snickering, a bit different from Dems organizing small riots of beating people for supporting Trump. Tell you what, we can count on YouTube of how many people have been attacked for supporting Hillary compared to the people that were physically assaulted. Good luck with that.

but when election day arrives, they will vote to throw out corrupt Trump.

-4 ( +2 / -6 )

Your beginning to see the light.

I don't get it, is this you're way of saying you aren't voting for Trump?

-1 ( +3 / -4 )

Lock her up.

-3 ( +4 / -7 )

So Trump gets in, what would be his first course of action? Probably to press the red button and nuke Rosie O'Donnell...and then start a war on ex beauty queens. That leaves the question of who will actually be running the country, if anyone?

3 ( +4 / -1 )

Lock her up.

I think exiling her and revoking her passport would be more fitting.

-3 ( +3 / -6 )

Please listen to VP Joe Biden's interview on CNN. He's one of the most respectful gentlemen, in comparison to the class-less, psychopathic Trump and his cronies.

How? I asked how putting Trump the criminal would keep criminals out of the white house. You just started spouting a bunch of gibberish after that.

Lock her up.

I think exiling her and revoking her passport would be more fitting.

Beautiful. You two would make very mainstream congressmen in the vapid rage of today's GOP. BTW, whatever happened to that "post mortem" analyzing why Romney failed so badly four years ago? You might want to dig it out and dust it off as it would be a step towards understanding why the GOP is in a bigger hole now than it was then and why it may well not survive as a united party. Good luck!

2 ( +2 / -0 )

How?

Oh boy... Ok I guess the link I added didn't spell it out clearly enough for you. Here goes. Both individuals are CRIMINALS. Do you get it now?

-3 ( +0 / -3 )

But the original comment was: "No, Trump is, even if only to keep criminals out of the White House."

Which brings me right back to my original question - how does putting a criminal in the white house keep criminals out of the whitehouse?

1 ( +2 / -1 )

Which brings me right back to my original question

To avoid any more useless spins, I'll rephrase your own question.

how does putting a criminal(hillary or trump) in the white house keep criminals out of the whitehouse?

No use nitpicking here, call a spade a spade. They're both CROOKS!!

-3 ( +0 / -3 )

how does putting a criminal(hillary or trump) in the white house keep criminals out of the whitehouse?

1) I wasn't the one claiming to put Hillary in the whitehouse to keep out crooks, so take up your agenda with the guy who asked in the first place.

2) Hillary has not been convicted of any crimes. Trump bribed a judge with money from his charity.

Once again you're pushing a false equivalency.

1 ( +2 / -1 )

How? I asked how putting Trump the criminal would keep criminals out of the white house. You just started spouting a bunch of gibberish after that.

LOL, I'm sorry, but how is Trump a criminal, please explain. This should be interesting.

-4 ( +0 / -4 )

Hillary has not been convicted of any crimes.

And trump has? Seriously?

-4 ( +0 / -4 )

That anybody at this point in time, with Clinton's crimes in the open, and her disastrous warmongering for all to her in her own words, would STILL want Clinton in the White House is simply embarrassing.

It seems some people are willing to down their brains and their ethics, simply in order to cheer for their perceived team. Sad, really.

Biden is another poor choice to be in Clintons cabinet.

Go ahead, youtube CREEPY JOE BIDEN

as he paws young children! DISGUSTING!

Clinton supporters truly are horrible judges of character!

-3 ( +0 / -3 )

The Clinton Foundation amounts to running an enterprise by a pattern of fraud, bribery, and obstruction, which a in turn a classic case of organized crime. I can't believe so many people here think Hillary is going to win. If so, she is going to spend the entire first term under investigation.

-2 ( +0 / -2 )

It is amusing on how this article is making it seem as if hillary is just a poor victim of some conspiracy against her by people fabricating this email scandal. The reason emails keep coming up is because what she did is absolute evidence of her own crimes and corruption. We have known crimes, the illegal secret email server, with classified information on it. She committed the crime of attempting to erase it all. As these emails are recovered, there is evidence of extreme corruption if not crime. Clearly she was taking money for favors. The evidence also shows she knew funding the local groups to start arab spring would likely get out of control, which is where ISIS came from. It is also clear she used the clinton foundation to launder stolen money such as the way she and her partners effectively stole billions from the Haitian rebuilding donations she was put in charge of.

Hillary is not suffering from a resurgence of some email issue as the headline says, she is suffering from the fact her emails contain the evidence of her crimes and corruption and people keep finding them.

Only last July, Hillary (hillaryclinton.com) was singing James Comey's praises ...

https://www.hillaryclinton.com/briefing/updates/2016/07/07/gop-follows-conspiracy-theorist-in-chief-donald-trump-into-another-taxpayer-funded-sham-inquiry/

Throughout his long career in law enforcement, the independence of FBI chief James Comey has rarely been questioned. Comey is a well-respected Republican who served as George W. Bush’s Deputy Attorney General. And when President Obama tapped him to serve as Director of the FBI, he was confirmed by a 93-1 vote. ...

This garbage isn't enough to stop me from making sure Trump doesn't end up in the oval office, it pisses me off that Mrs. Clinton didn't have enough common sense to follow Federal procedure.

Establishment politicians... been in the positon of power for so long they've lost their senses.

1 ( +1 / -0 )

Alright already. Release the e-mails ! Get them out in the open !~ Wanna bet they don't ? While you are at it, start an investigation of the FBI director Comey. There is surely a political motive involved, There is also a history of the abuse of power by FBA directors. (Namely Hoover) Despite these last minute shenanigans by Comey, SHE IS GOING TO WIN ! ! ! GO HILLARY ! It's HER time ! 1/20/17 - "Madame President" ! Get used to it guys ! ! !

I'm just astounded as to HOW CORRUPT she really is, worse than I previously thought.

Typical bass. Nothing new has been leveled against her, and suddenly she's worse than you previously thought.

Seems legit.

1 ( +2 / -1 )

Hillary has not been convicted of any crimes.

And trump has? Seriously?

@Strangerland still waiting for that explanation regarding trumps conviction.

Nothing new has been leveled against her,

Oh boy... You sound as if there's a conspiracy to get her ignoring the fact that she really did screw up. Typical strangerland.

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

@Strangerland still waiting for that explanation regarding trumps conviction.

Sure: https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/post-politics/wp/2016/09/01/trump-pays-irs-a-penalty-for-his-foundation-violating-rules-with-gift-to-florida-attorney-general/

Donald Trump paid the IRS a $2,500 penalty this year, an official at Trump's company said, after it was revealed that Trump's charitable foundation had violated tax laws by giving a political contribution to a campaign group connected to Florida's attorney general.

The improper donation, a $25,000 gift from the Donald J. Trump Foundation, was made in 2013. At the time, Attorney General Pam Bondi was considering whether to investigate fraud allegations against Trump University. She decided not to pursue the case.

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

(Fred W?): @Strangerland still waiting for that explanation regarding trumps conviction.

Strangerland: Sure: https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/post-politics/wp/2016/09/01/trump-pays-irs-a-penalty-for-his-foundation-violating-rules-with-gift-to-florida-attorney-general/

Donald Trump paid the IRS a $2,500 penalty this year,

Really? That's a "conviction"?

So if the IRS sent you a penalty notice, would you consider yourself a convict?

How about a tat for every tax notice you've ever received .... little column of teardrops under one eye ...

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Really? That's a "conviction"?

Haha, it's funny watching Republicans get riled up when their rhetoric is used against them instead of by them.

You people have been calling Hillary a convict for years, yet she's never been found guilty of anything. Show something that Trump actually is guilty of - bribing an attorney general - and call him a convict, and they get all pi$$y. And ignore the fact that he bribed an attorney general.

Face it, the guy is already guilty of more than Hillary has ever been found guilty of, and he still has a child-rape trial coming up.

0 ( +1 / -1 )

Strangerland: Haha, it's funny watching Republicans get riled up when their rhetoric is used against them instead of by them.

You people have been calling Hillary a convict for years, yet she's never been found guilty of anything.

What 'you people'? I'm not even Republican, and when did I call her a convict?

So after the $500M Clinton Foundation vis a vis State Dept. quid pro quo scandals, the Ambassador seat for political contributions lists, uranium deal, etc., etc., your reveal of a $2.5K penalty he paid for a $25K contribution is a nice vindication of Trump. Are you sure you're not a double agent, undercover for DJT?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Face it, the guy is already guilty of more than Hillary has ever been found guilty of.

No... Just no. And if comey doesn't get whacked in the next few days, hillary could finally account for the gross negligence not befitting a presidential candidate.

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

LMFAO 11 days to and now these emails come out? WAIT the FBI asked 352 days ago for the emails and asked this teletubby to turn them over but NO SHE THINKS SHE IS ABOVE THE LAW! She should be in jail for fraud, murder and if their was a law for shame that too. This lold prune can not be trusted. Almost 8 years ago she ran against Obama he was the worst guy to run for president according to HILIARY but NO now she needs the black vote so she is saying he is the greatest thing next to nothing. People go back and google Clinton and Obama debates and you will see nothing different about this old bag and you will see her flopping and flipping on the very same issues today. If she gets in office nothing is going to change 30 years in public service she is part of the problem and it's time for her to get that golden rocking chair she has on order for rocking the grand kids to sleep or perhaps herself!

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

Comey has made a complete mess out of this investigation. The FBI is in revolt against him for his politicized exoneration of Hillary back in July. Now he reopens the case 11 days before the election because he didn't do the job right the first time. He has ruined his reputation and that of the FBI. We know that DOJ is politicized with Obama's hacks. The schizophrenic handling of Hillary's obvious criminal negligence only proves the point that she has been given special treatment back when Democrats had the chance to make an alternative choice.

I still believe Hillary will win because in America, right and wrong takes a back seat to tribalism. However, I have a clean conscience - I didn't vote for either one of them. Couldn't bring myself to be a part of electing either a criminal or a buffoon for President. I look forward now to Hillary's impeachment sometime early in 2018.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

No surprises this non-news was released so close to the election, the Rubes were beginning to have panic attacks from the lack of good conspiracies, so this will keep them occupied for another week until their next breakdown. It's hilarious to see the weakest Rube elements break bit by bit due to their desperation
