The Le Pens have always been very close to secular middle eastern dictatorships such as Iraq, Syria or Lybia. Jean-Marie Le Pen was a friend of Tariq Azziz and Saddam Hussein himself and openly supported Gaddafi too.

I think both sides have similar positions about political sovereignty and their right to preserve the country's national identity, what Le Pen (dad) called "differentialism": all nations are culturally fundamentally different; let's keep it this way rather than impose multiculturalism, diversity etc. (sort of)

You cant really stop multiculturism and diveristy it happens over time and with the world becoming smaller due to technology its going at a rapid rate wich is in no way a bad thing, preserving your national identity is ok but not at the expense of others or intolerance of other people's way of life thats why we need to keep religion out of goverment.
