Fresno man sentenced to 1,503 years in prison in daughter's rape

He won't live 1503 DAYS in prison if he's in general population. As for the guy in Montana, that judge is the one who should be sent to jail.

Don't really understand the over 1,000 years sentence. After a hundred year sentence they should just call it life w/o parole.

It sounds like she was 17 when she was first raped. I despise rape and they should be punished severely but a multiple life sentence (1503 year sentence) sounds a bit extreme.

Maybe California doesn't have LWOP. Also maybe the judge'd like to avoid the scenario of 'out on parole in 10 years'.

With good behaviour he will be out in 751 years.

From the 2 cases, it seems they took one very seriously and the other not seriously at all. Shaking my head at the sentencing in the second one.

The family didn't want him punished in the second case, or rather that he be sent into psychiatric care were if we're honest, he belongs.

Obviously the 60 day sentence is an outrage.

US Supreme Court ruled death sentence unconstitutional for rape of an adult in USA in 1977, and for rape of a child in 2008.

Although, looking at the descriptions of the cases on wikipedia, you can see why it should have been kept.
