I actually have to agree. It makes me lament the absence of Bernie.

But, what is, is, and there are only two options. Trump is clearly the lesser of the two. He is simply not presidential. She is presidential in the traditional sense, which means things will mostly continue without any major shakeup. If he was another person (like Bernie), he could have shaken it up in a good way, but I think this last debate clearly showed how that if he became president, he'd shake it like a baby. And you know what happens when you shake babies.

Clinton just got wasted! LOL

-40 ( +15 / -55 )

she's made the tax laws--that Trump has scrupulouslessly exploited-- in order to protect her friends on Wall Street.

Wrong. A loophole had existed long before Hillary was elected to the Senate that allowed investors to apply loss deductions from any area (say, stock losses) against real estate profits. That loophole was closed in, I think, 2005, and Clinton voted to close it.

We'll never know whether it was precisely that loophole that Trump exploited for his billion dollar tax write-off because he will never release his returns, but many consider it likely. But at any rate, Trump did this in 1995, and Clinton did not become a senator until 2001 - so, no, she did not make those tax laws. Just the opposite.

Clinton just got wasted! LOL

Whatever helps you sleep at night. I'm sure the polls will not reflect your opinion. Clinton trounced Trump more so than she did in the first debate.

21 ( +31 / -10 )

Not enough from Trump to turn this around. The fact that he said he won't necessarily accept the result of the election made him look cracked.

Did you catch Clinton's quip that taxes on the rich will go up to fund entitlements but Donald might find a way around paying them? I think he called her "nasty". The smacked-arse face was picture. Grow up, Trump.

18 ( +25 / -7 )

Clinton was better but Trump might get some of those Republicans voters who had been thinking about voting for Clinton before this 3rd debate back to the position to support him.

-7 ( +8 / -15 )

Clinton just got wasted! LOL

Only the polls will tell us. I personally feel she did way better, but while I was watching I definitely thought he made the right points for his core group, but he already has them tied up. If he wanted to win, he needed to extend his base.

10 ( +14 / -4 )

@Strangerland "If he wanted to win, he needed to extend his base."

Ah you are right.

Actually they both did much better than they have done in previous debates. Wallace did a very good job of moderating. The questions were good and there was one point in the middle where it devolved to where it resembled the first 2 debates but I thought Wallace got the thing back on track.

Immigration came up as well as the situation with Russia (Syria no fly zone proposal). Actually some good topics.

In the Meantime, We're better off with clinton because we get Free defense and we can Export cars to USA and they cannot export cars to Japan.

-5 ( +9 / -14 )

In the 3rd debate HRC said "We'll go into Raqqa" presumably after Mosul (Iraq). If she knows it's actually in Syria then she believes Assad and Putin will accept this and then buy in to her "no fly zone?

And who exactly is "we"? The Iraqi Army? Fighting outside Iraq? The Peshmerga? The Turks will let them gain a stronger foothold near the Turkish-Syrian border? The small number of American and European advisors?

The woman is out of her depth.

-12 ( +5 / -17 )

Bill Murphy: "The woman is out of her depth."

Yeah, no kidding! She gives specifics while Trump just wants to "deport all illegals" and "build a wall" and "keep out all Muslims"!

18 ( +24 / -6 )

Perso Trump lost me in the first 20min of this debate with his usual anti-abortion, pro guns at all costs (well lives) rhetoric. I just could not vote for a guy who thinks like this.

No doubt he made some valid points in economy or even foreign policy (fair enough that countries protected by the us should participate financially imo) but he's just too far from where i stand on values. Hillary on the other hand had imo the best first 20min she's ever had, told it exactly how i see it re abortion, guns and immigration.

7 ( +10 / -3 )

Trump's comment regarding whether he will accept the will of American voters - “I will look at it at the time. I’ll keep you in suspense.” - could have been applied to most every question he was asked. What to do about ISIS? Entitlement spending? Abortion rights? Obamacare replacement? - well, we'll never know, just like we'll never know about his finances because he'll never be elected and thus will never have to come up with an answer.

10 ( +14 / -4 )

Bill. I do not think Clinton is out of her depth.

However the no fly zone is dangerous and dealing with Russia is not like dealing with Iraq. The one thing I do agree with you on is Russia will not stand idly by and accept the no fly zone. I think this is dangerous and should be a last resort. The potential consequences of an unintended encounter between Russia and the U.S. are much greater than what is going on in Syria.

4 ( +5 / -1 )

The potential consequences of an unintended encounter between Russia and the U.S. are much greater than what is going on in Syria.

True - but look at Clinton's statement more closely and you'll see she agrees. She said that she would seek buy-in from both Syria and Russia before instituting any such zone, and the grounds would be humanitarian. She explicitly did NOT say that the US would institute such a zone unilaterally. This indicates that she's looking at the end-game, one in which her administration would recognize the role of the Assad regime in contributing to the cessation of violence. Sounds pretty good to me.

4 ( +6 / -2 )

Anyone who still doesn’t see that Trump suffers from serious personality and temperament issues that not only make him unfit to be president, but actually dangerous to be president, needs to get their noggin checked as well.

7 ( +12 / -5 )

Trump says words that offend thin-skinned simpletons. Clintons lies endlessly, takes bribes as nauseum, and literally gets people killed.

-14 ( +6 / -20 )

Besides weaving and dodging, what answers did we get from Hillary?? Oh, and wait until Nov. 1st when the new adjusted premium rates for AHC come out and the people see their rates on deductibles go up as well. Methinks a lot of people will be beyond pissed about the new hikes which can go up 20-70%.

Anyone who still doesn’t see that Trump suffers from serious personality and temperament issues that not only make him unfit to be president, but actually dangerous to be president, needs to get their noggin checked as well.

Well, if it boils down to a chronic liar and a person with a bad temper, I'll go for the person with the bad temper.

-20 ( +2 / -22 )

The GOP has sure ran off the rails.

7 ( +9 / -2 )

They are both so bad and evil that I tossed away my absentee ballot.

-14 ( +4 / -18 )

Hi Laguna - Yes your point is well taken however I am not sure that Russia would agree to such a thing. So perhaps it is a moot point. I think one of the biggest risks in the world right now is not ISIS, rather it is the potential for conflict between the U.S. and Russia. I think some of the provocative statements stating we will engage in a type of cyber warfare against Russia are provocative and I do not believe Russia is meddling in our elections (by the way we have been meddling in elections around the globe for decades - even installing puppet governments).

@bass4funk - I understand your post and I agree Clinton has many shortcomings, which are now being publicized, however I would prefer her over Trump as someone with a bad temper who is easily shaken could be quite dangerous as a President.

4 ( +4 / -0 )

"Well, if it boils down to a chronic liar and a person with a bad temper, I'll go for the person with the bad temper."

You are voting for a chronic liar with a bad temper.

10 ( +14 / -4 )

Trump ran interference for Putin on the espionage charges. Kind of weird to see. The US has formally accused Russia so it's not like we're talking about leaks.

The secret ISIS plan is weird, too. He could give broad strokes but he doesn't. And it's kind of...childish? My guess is that his handlers think they have a way for him to predict victory without having to go into details...meaning one less thing to learn.

More weirdness with the fraud issue. His campaign manager and vice president and daughter have said that the results should be accepted, then Trump goes in front of the camera and says the opposite. One can only guess that they were on a conference call at some point saying, "You say one thing, I'll say another."

The Trump Foundation stuff was....weird. We all know he used foundation funds to buy a painting of himself as well as other things. His response was that the Trump Foundation gives 100% to charity, and obvious lie to everyone watching. When he gets caught off guard with these things he goes into a shell and starts swinging. He's not able to think quickly enough so he just says the opposite of the claim. Loudly.

His demeanor was much improved, but after the first 30 minutes the quality and depth of his policy answers dropped dramatically. He kind of punches himself out in the first round. He avoids specifics or policy statements and replaces them with emotional catchphrases. That started to become obvious quickly.

I was watching the talking heads on CNN where they have a panel of Trump and Clinton commentators. Watching the Trump surrogates is just weird. They know that they are giving intellectually dishonest statements, and they know that you know, and they know that you know that they know.

But then I realized....they have nothing else to do. They are just trying to get through this thing in hopes of landing something big after the election. They do what's required of them and even if most of the world laughs at them, there will always be a little corner of Trump nutballs to get paid on.

Overall, Trump hasn't grown into any kind of real candidate at all. He just didn't do the work.

7 ( +10 / -3 )

Jimizo: You are voting for a chronic liar with a bad temper.

While Jimizo (if eligible) will be voting for a chronic liar with a bad temper and (bonus!) a vagina.

I don't think we should lament what the founding fathers would think of this day, though. They probably had worse.

Do you think we could get Comey indicted on violation of Hatch Actor for running interference for the email investigation, and get him thrown into jail with Hillary?

(wikipedia): Under the Hatch Act of 1939, civil servants are not allowed to engage in political activities while performing their duties.

-17 ( +2 / -19 )

It has dawned on me that Trump is very much like an internet bot, not a real person and just repeating the same things over and over and over again. No substance, plenty of rhetoric. No policies, plenty of abusive language. No ideas, plenty of diversions. No truth, plenty of lies.

But then, the alt-right 4-chan are very much like that. I can see how they are attracted to Trump. Match made in heaven.

For the record, its 3-0 in debates to Hillary. But if you want to be real harsh on Hillary and go real easy on Trump, I suppose you could call the second debate a draw, in that case 2.5 Clinton -0.5 Trump.

Game over Donnie.

7 ( +10 / -3 )

In any case that was the best debate with the best journo/mod and the most pertinent questions. Both still managed to dodge a few questions but Wallace came back again and again. On a couple of occasions he still didnt get the answers he was after but clearly DT and HC had by then been exposed.

Was def the less biased/most impartial of all mods we have had, really good job CW.

Did anyone notice Hillary's nose started to run and all the way down to her lip on the Borders response at about 58:46 in the link above? She wiped it away and didn't have a runny nose for the rest of the debate. It is fact, Hillary lies repeatedly but I think under the stress and lying. Her body betrayed her. The brain can make up anything to say but the body is for the most part involuntary in bodily response to its body's stresses. I don't like Trump but I don't think Hillary is trustworthy in her long history of lying.

Hillary thinks the voting American public and the worldwide audience will believe her if she is consistent in her lying. To me, she is very good at being consistent in lying and hopes that viewers will believe since to each individual perception is reality. I don't think either candidate is completely honest in life (nor am I) but I do not rely on one media source and do my own independent research. This year is truly the lesser of two evils and I will have to choose Trump.

In closing, I am sick of the choices I have to use my precious right to vote as an USA citizen but I will have to vote for Trump in hopes an unconventional non-politician businessman can turn our economy around and try to overturn the corrupt politics of the USA. And let's face it folks, the USA affects the global economy so it affects every foreign economy for good or bad, especially the first world ones. I'll get off my soapbox now. PS I love and respect Japan and her people after serving in Japan in the USAF. I want Japan to do well but first and foremost, I want the USA to do well.

Tokyo-Engr wrote: "Bill, I do not think that Clinton is out of her depth."

To answer Smith: My topic was Syria. Stay on topic. Do you not ask yourself how she can persuade Putin to agree to a no fly zone? His ally is Assad and Raqqa is Syrian territory. Assad considers ALL opposing him in northern Syria to be rebels and traitors. Russia wants to keep its Mediterranean port. It will continue assisting him.

To respond to Tokyo-Engr: Any US or coalition attempt to impose a no-fly zone will end in disaster. As a last resort? Especially not then. Saying it's for "humanitarian" purposes will mean nothing to Assad. He may allow civilians trapped in the rubble of Aleppo to leave, but only because he knows he's getting rid of potential enemies by the thousands and raising havoc in Turkey, Europe and beyond. As Syrian Army forces push further north to take on Isis on the ground they will undoubtedly "make contact" with forces coming out of Iraq. That's a flash point.

HRC is one of the best in-party fighters there is. Ask Obama, Biden or Bernie. They all stood in her way at one time or another and she either wrung concessions out of them or defeated them. She may win the WH, but as a politician who must persuade people who don't side with her to cooperate, she will fail. She has severe handicaps the principal one being unlikability and that, though she tries, is her own fault.

-4 ( +4 / -8 )

I know it is tiny in the grand scheme of things, but wasn't it annoying when Trump said "bigly" (or "big league"?) I know bigly is a real word, but it just sounds like kids in a sandlot talking about how amazingly they played ball. Didn't watch the whole debate so not sure if he brought out the old school slang "braggadocious" again (good luck finding that in a dictionary). Funny when he really revs up the New Yawker accent until he sounds like a character from the Sopranos talking about bulk scrap metal deals.

2 ( +5 / -3 )

I expect this "refuse to accept" will be the constant talking point of the media from now on. What they omit is context, however. Now that the latest Project Veritas video has DOCUMENTED the blatant election fraud thas being planned and carried out by the Clinton campaign, they are asking the outsider to promise that he will carte blance "accept" an outcome that is obtained by fraud? That is a trick question if there ever was one.

-7 ( +5 / -12 )

America is a renegade country, always has been. Don't be surprised if Trump pulls it off.

-8 ( +3 / -11 )

Just watched this debate. I found it largely disappointing. It was set up for Clinton to outwonk Trump with here prepared talking points, and by and large she did. The ignorance of both candidates on the Middle East situation was troubling.

But what really, really scared me was Clintons insistence on introducing "no fly zones" in Syria on behalf of her precious rebels. This war-monger is planning to take down Syria down the same disastrous path as she did in Libya! Apart from all the other issues, this alone is a deal breaker.

This woman must not be allowed in the White House. Anybody who wants here there should seriously wake up.

-6 ( +7 / -13 )

They were asked about their vision for the Supreme Court

I can't really imagine any scenario where Republicans allow any Democratic nominee onto the Supreme Court. I honestly believe they see this as an existential threat and will have no problem trying to run out the clock on the next presidency with a 4-4 court. And needless to say they've been busy trying to burn down the Judicial Branch for the better part of 8 years so it won't be much of a change for them.

It's basically tyranny of the minority when the GOP will only cooperate with the process if everyone agrees to their demands as if....they had a majority. Which they don't. So they just mothball the process with a note that reads, "To be opened upon the next Republican presidency." This is the party that says the next president should decide, then also says they'll quickly confirm Garland if Hillary is elected so she can't try someone more liberal. They literally said those two things at the same time. And their base said nothing. And now they will attack.

Party before country.

6 ( +9 / -3 )

Hmm, Project Veritas and James O'Keefe. Didn't he get into serious legal trouble for assuming a fake phone company identity to wiretap US Senator Mary Landreiu's phones? I know he got one senior Republican U.S. rep in Wisconsin to retire by getting him to drunkly spout some BS while he secretly videotaped. Juvenile blackmail pranks that strive for self-aggrandizement more than any valuable service to society. Why doesn't O'Keefe try running for office for a change? Get over the stigma of his criminal record. What was that you were saying about fraud, WilliB?

5 ( +7 / -2 )

I expect this "refuse to accept" will be the constant talking point of the media from now on.

What, don't you think it should be? Not only is the man taking down the Republican Party, he's threatening to destroy over 200 years of concord between presidential winners and losers. That might merit a byline or two.

3 ( +6 / -3 )

Trump rolled over tonight. He knows he has lost. The goofy statements were directed to his basket of deplorables base, the unhinged crew. Rejecting democracy in the USA may his last stupid, unpatriotic act before he sinks into the swamp of the angry but forgotten losers. Cuban predicts he will be bankrupt again fairly soon which is probably true. He biggest success was the TV show which of course he did not create, he was just an actor in the show.

8 ( +10 / -2 )

“No puppet. You’re the puppet.”

Hahahaha! Trump's "reply" here is so much like the cut-n-paste Republicans its hilarious. SHouldn't be, with birds of a feather and all that, but still. To see the child-hood "I know you are but what am I" used by Trump while running for president.... HAHAH!

Bill Murphy: "To answer Smith: My topic was Syria. Stay on topic."

Why? So you can pigeonhole the discussion in favor of one candidate? How is Hillary out of her depth but Trump is not, was obviously what I was pointing out, and there's nothing irrelevant about broadening it to include similar situations across the globe, with war and US involvement, or international affairs in general. Or tell us what he will do, Bill? Let me guess, "I'll tell you later"? Didn't Trump just say he'd bomb everyone a while back? like ISIS?

3 ( +6 / -3 )

At least this debate was a better boxing match than number two. In that one HRC just stood by and let Kid Trump rope-a-dope himself. Pitiful. I thought that was the KO in the second round. But, no. ... ... I hope HRC's plan today wasn't her own. She tried to continue on the "Trump-as-pervert" approach, but that seemed to fizzle (do you know how expensive it is to put up hundreds - nay! - thousands of women in 4-star hotels?). I don't even remember an attempt at the "Trump-as-racist" ploy (she obviously feels she owns the "black vote").The "Trump-the-uncaring-male" gig had potential especially as she was able to take advantage of his description of a late term abortion. But, I'm torn (no intended reference to the previous sentence - honest!) between the new two which will have to slug it out for the top position: "Trump-as-Putin-puppet" and "Trump-as-abettor-of-espionage". They kind of conflict, but that kind of thing can be iron out and put into masse circulation.

... .... Lordy, Lordy... only 20 more days of the circus and so many tactics yet unexplored.

-6 ( +1 / -7 )

The entire election is a nothing but rigged, mostly by the MSM. Clintons will do anything to win. Trump is fighting all sides. Just appalling how the MSM basically scrutinized nothing with the emails and anything said in the OKeefe video.

Trump destroyed her in the debate.

-10 ( +5 / -15 )

The entire election is a nothing but rigged

Heh, the losers are already coming out of the woodwork.

Oops, I meant 'sore losers'.

Chump and the Strumpets must be resigned to his losing, or they wouldn't be making these claims, because if he managed to win, how would they reconcile that with the fact that they claimed the election was rigged?

That wasn't a debate it was a cringefest. Embarrassing to the depths the Republican party has sunk.

Russia's plan to destroy the USA as we know it is right on schedule, Donald Trump as Putin's lackey for once apparently paying his debts in full....

6 ( +9 / -3 )

The failure to adhere to fundamental democratic principles should not only disqualify Trump but land him in jail. The fact that his innumerable treasons are considered just another Trump outburst just shows that he has done permanent damage to the US which I assume will take decades to repair. He has done more lasting damage to the US in 1 year than the Soviets in 50. If he happens to win this election, I suspect he will be assassinated quite quickly triggering a complete collapse of the US..

3 ( +5 / -2 )

" Russia's plan to destroy the USA as we know it is right on schedule, "

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention the Russia baiting. Criminal Clintons only response when here 30,000 deleted ("what you mean wiped with a cloth?") e-mails came up was an unhinged muttering of "Russia Russia Russia". And this same woman wants declare "no fly zones" in Syria, shooting down Russian planes. Sheer insanity!

What is disappoing is that some people swallow up this irresponsible and dangerous ramble.

-10 ( +2 / -12 )

"Don't be surprised if Trump pulls it off."

Nothing would surprise anyone about this man but I imagine he'd force women to do that.

No, I'm just voting for a guy that has a very good reason for having a bad temper.

Clinton just got wasted! LOL..Well dont now what debate you were watching.

The same one you were watching.

Besides weaving and dodging, what answers did we get from Hillary?Seemed she explain her points very clearly.Trump was the one that did not give answers he had a few good one liners but not substance to back them up with.So at the end of the day Hilary came out in front in this one too.

She had zero answers on the mails, the Wikileaks, she tried to deflect on the issue as usual. Sure, that last part about him conceding the results of the election was a bit troubling to hear a bit, but overall, he was hard, unyielding and was on her like a fly on....

Trump rolled over tonight.

Like a steamroller over that woman!

He knows he has lost. The goofy statements were directed to his basket of deplorables base,

Yeah, that's coming from the Hillarybots, not from Trump, but nice try.

Cuban is the joke of all jokes. The man is the last person to talk about who's a loser. As for rejecting democracy, according to the Wikileaks, seems like Hillary could give a damn about democracy, but cares about fascism seems more and more like it.

Torafusan:

" Hmm, Project Veritas and James O'Keefe. Didn't he get into serious legal trouble "

Shoot the messenger! Did you watch the video? I do not care who made it, the democrat officials speak for themselves. This was not filmed in Hollywood, this straight from the crimininal`s mouthes.

This line of excuse is the same as Clintons mumbling "Russia" in response to her illegally deleted e-mails. There is no evidence that Russian hackers were involved, but even if there where, that does not change the issue. What WAS in the e-mails which she illegally deleted?

Thanks to WIkileaks we know a lot of that, and it is very bad indeed. If the Clintons were not above the law in the current administration, she should be in prison for her pay-for-play server in her toilet alone.

-8 ( +1 / -9 )

Willi,

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention the Russia baiting.

The US has formerly accused Russia of meddling in the elections. You should try to keep up wit the topic. Trump is up to his neck in debt to Putin and his Russian gangsters. It's why he refuses to release his tax returns.

All commentators seem to agree that the "puppet" incident is where Trump lost the debate. He made me cringe.

6 ( +7 / -1 )

The woman is out of her depth.

As opposed Donald Michael Phelps Trump?

2 ( +4 / -2 )

Trump destroyed her in the debate.

I agree. Did you see a clip of that interview afterwards on the plane ? Clinton went on and on nauseatingly about her "horror" at Trump's not accepting the results, and about the Russians and the 17 agencies garbage. But then at the end, when asked about the O'Keefe videos, she quickly cut off the reporter, said "I know nothing about all that" and wheeled around and left the interview. lol. Just like that Congressman who mentioned WIkileaks on CNN the other day coincidentally at that exact moment having his satellite feed cut. If there is nothing there what are they so worried about.

And If the Russians are interfering then why shouldn’t Trump wait and appraise at the time?

-13 ( +2 / -15 )

@WilliB, now you are trying to equate James O'Keefe with legit journalists whose code of ethics prevents them from lying about being from the phone company so that they can secretly wiretap a US Senator's phones. But at the same time you want to lecture everyone about fraud. O'keefe was fined bigly for fraudulent acts, but that's no biggie for you?

6 ( +7 / -1 )

Relieved that the clueless Drumpf finally offed himself in the third debate before the TV cameras. Millions of sore losers will still vote for him (unfortunately, he's the only outlet for their rage at an Amerika that has exploited them for decades), but the numbers overwhelmingly favor Clinton who will be handed the POTUS by millions holding their noses as they push the button. Disheartened that we will have to wait four years for a new generation of voters to clean up the slimy mess she'll leave behind her by voting for a truly progressive candidate who can clean out the Augean stables of Wall St. and the corrupt plutocratic elite who have bought the republic for the last 50 years.

The entire election is a nothing but rigged, mostly by the MSM...

Trump destroyed her in the debate.

(smirk) Is that right. Well, on which fine news website do you think you can read this:

"Since Hollywood is revisiting Bill Murray movies (if you’re lucky, you missed the “Ghostbusters” reboot), why not another run at “Groundhog Day”?"

"With this plot twist: instead of a weatherman trapped in Punxsutawney, it’s some unfortunate soul stuck in Trump Tower and charged with debate prep."

"With every day the same: advise Donald Trump to stick to the economy, wrong-track America and a corrupt and compromised political system as embodied by Hillary Clinton – without making it overly snide, disparaging or unwarranted."

"Only, each and every time, Trump fails to deliver the goods."

"Third Time Wasn’t The Charm. Thrice now, Trump has had 90 minutes to make his argument for his brand of change over Democratic status quo, with tens of millions of voters tuned in."

"Thrice now, he’s failed to seal the deal."

Go on, take a guess.

I'd be in a permanent foul temper too if I had that hair. All that money he says he has, and he can't pay anyone to fix it for him?

Everybody in Trump's campaign already said they would accept the results of the election.......... except Trump.

Looking forward to the impeachment hearings in 2018!

Just like the republicans to look on the cheery side of things. This is why their party is over, I mean the republican party is over. Trump loses, blames party, go independent sucking the basket of deplorables out of the party, republican party collapses into nothingness.

Clinton will make a fine President, she has been in training for 30 years now for the role.

Tough one to swallow eh republicans? We liberals warned you long ago that this day would come. Now the best you can do is wish for impeachment. Such sore losers you are. You are losers but the USA is a winner going forward.

4 ( +5 / -1 )

He really is a bad loser. Although I wont respect a Hilliary win either. Not because rigged but because so unfortunate for the US.

-2 ( +0 / -2 )

Russia's plan to destroy the USA as we know it is right on schedule

I wonder how many times I've been accused of living in a bubble by you? Too funny.

-7 ( +2 / -9 )

Only Trump could get Hillary elected

4 ( +5 / -1 )

Fizz,

I realize Russians serious about their nationalistic fervour only get the news from Putin FM, but it's pretty clear to non-bubble dwellers that not only is Russia trying to influence US elections, but they want Trump either to win, or to sow enough stupidity amongst his deplorable supporters that they will mount some kind of armed insurrection when Trump surely loses in the landslide that is coming.

Even your boy Assange at the Russian whistle-blowing site "wikileaks" had his internet connection cut off.

Trump is a puppet for your president Putin.

4 ( +6 / -2 )

i'm sure its already been said here, sorry for repeated postings: the most shameful thing that can happen to america, and to any decent american, is that the trumpet wins. how can a normal iq human go to a competition saying that he cant loose, because hes the best and has to win, and if he doesnt win its because he was cheated. poor usa and the world, its like "facked if you do, facked if you dont"

" Clinton will make a fine President, she has been in training for 30 years now for the role. "

Managing the bimbo eruptions for the husband, bombing Kosovo, running an illegal pay-for-play server in her toilet and lying about it ("wiped? you mean with a cloth?"), accepting 35 million from Saudi Arabia in full knowledge that Saudi is funding ISIS, you destroying Libya ("we came, we saw, he died, hahaha?"), ripping off Haiti with (google for the Clinton money that was stolen), trying to repeat the Libya disaster is Syria with her "safe zones", taking orders from George Soros, giving 200,000/piece speeches to Wall Street..... oh yes, very fine training and and fine president, Good grief.

-7 ( +2 / -9 )

As a non US citizen and a person lets say, of limited intelligence, I watched the debate, and yes, drew my own conclusions, but reading the comments to this article I found to be more entertaining than what was labeled as a debate. Seems some people don't understand the english language or how it was portrayed from at least one of the presidential hopefuls. One thing I do share, is that I'm not and establishment fan boy of politics in general, from whatever country, unfortunately the establishment does not like its caged rattled and will do everything and anything to maintain it. This will probably go down as the worst presidential election, both for Republicans and Democrats. If these are the best two candidates that the US can produce,as the saying goes, "God help America"

5 ( +5 / -0 )

America has lost the plot, which is quite sad and a bit scary really.

7 ( +7 / -0 )

Gotta love Trump's spokeswoman, Kellyanne Conway (AKA the woman with the broom following the elephant). Trying to smooth over his refusal to accept election results, she said, "Mr. Trump would accept the results, because he'll win the election" before later adding, "So, you know, absent widespread fraud and irregularities, then, we'll see. What he's saying is we have to see what happens."

Hope that clarifies things. Ah, a good spokeswoman is nice to have!

5 ( +6 / -1 )

His hair IS the fix.

3 ( +4 / -1 )

There are so many more negative things to say about these two candidates than positive things and for some reason, 90% of Americans are voting for one of the two. Unbelievable. How did these two even become the main candidates? As an non-American, this whole election seems like it's one big fiasco... And here I was thinking that European elections were a farce.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

Perfect example of living in the bubble. You would think after being wrong for decades now, about wars, the economy, elections, the black President, your own candidate most recently, the wing nut crowd would grow a few and ask, why am I wrong all the time? But no, we got more nonsense like the above, disjoined, illogical, juvenile, emotional, puerile lies. Well, get ready JT when Clinton is President. The same defective types will just dig themselves a deeper hole of denial and delusion. This same delusion that lead to the criminal Iraq War that these folks cheered on right here on JT, the same delusion that lead to the 2008 near depression, the same delusion that leads most of these folks to think Obama was born in Africa and goes to mosque daily, the same delusion that makes them think Trump is not a racist, sexist, immoral criminal but the saviour of the country. Its sad really, comments like those above are sad. Clinton was so right about the majority of Trump supporters.

Some historians are starting to weigh in on Trump's remarks -- calling his failure to accept the results of the upcoming election the most irresponsible thing ever said by anyone in a presidential debate.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

As former President Clinton once said, rightfully: It's the economy! In the short run, if elected, Trump would bring chaos to the American economy. That is how bad he could be. Rhetorics aside, the real danger is that he could make a Brexit in American economy and politics beyond repair.

3 ( +4 / -1 )

Hillary called Trump the “most dangerous person to run for president in the modern history of America.”

If that's true, she's a close second.

-3 ( +3 / -6 )

Trump doesn't trust us enough to show us his tax returns as every presidential candidate has done in my lifetime. But he expects us to trust him to lead this country. Trump has handed the presidency to a democratic candidate that many of us would have fought tooth and nail to keep out of the White House,

The Japan Today header:

"Fury at debate as Trump refuses pledge to respect a Clinton win"

The sequence of events leading up to what the Japan Today writer or editor considers "fury" is quite interesting.

Let me make clear that I watched the debate live in its entirety. The elapsed time references I make below are based on a clip I watched later.

The moderator asked Mr. Trump this question: "Do you make the same commitment that you will absolutely accept the results of this election?" (end: 33rd second = 0:33)

Mr. Trump: "I will look at it at the time. I'm not looking at anything now. I'll look at it at the time. What I've seen - millions of people who are registered to vote who shouldn't be registered to vote ...", etc., etc.,etc.

(Sec. Clinton is on camera with Mr. Trump as he answers from 0:33 until 0:46 from which time she is off camera.)

As Mr. Trump spoke she had a big, toothy smile on her face for at least 10 second. It later became rather calm and composed then she spoke and said: "Let me respond to that because that's horrifying."

Hmmm? Horror registers on people's faces in surprising ways it seems. I really didn't expect Sec. Clinton to reprise the role of Janet Lee in the "Psycho" shower scene, but neither did I expect a broad, toothy grin. Was this "horror" or undisguised glee? Sec. Clinton should keep to the party in-fighting at which she excels and forget acting.

Was Mr. Trumps answer really "horrifying"? Was it a poorly disguised signal to Republican peasants to keep torches and pitchforks at hand to storm the castle of the infamous mad scientist Dr. Hillaristein on creation of her presimonster on Election Day (Apologies to Sheriff Clarke for this unauthorized use of his imagery.)?

I thought candidates had a right to challenge the results of elections; to demand recounts - even though that challenge might be rejected or the recount uphold the original results.

To me, the moderator's question (not a personal one I'm sure) was inappropriate and misleading. Inappropriate since its was used as a test of both candidates' patriotism. This question, to my knowledge, has never been asked before.

Misleading because failure to take the pledge before millions of witnesses could be used by Mr. Trump's political enemies to "prove" their insinuations that he will disrupt the traditional peaceful transfer of power after an election. What Mr. Trump is doing is suggesting that he may have reason to challenge the vote count. It seemed pretty obvious to me.

Let me suggest what a more cautious moderator might have asked:

"Will you accept the results of any challenge a candidate may make to the vote count?" ... ... ... ... "Will".

-5 ( +3 / -8 )

Hillary destroyed him in that debate. Dodgy salesman talk will get you far but, luckily, not that far.

@bass4funk

Better dealing with someone who has a bad temper, you can work on someone's temper, but Hillary.... The woman is incapable of telling the truth.

37 < 4???

Hilarious!

Dang numbers, having a liberal bias again.

Bill Murphy: "Hmmm? Horror registers on people's faces in surprising ways it seems. "

No doubt! I mean, while Trump was busy throwing democracy and the Constitution in the toilet YOU'RE reaction was to Hillary's face, and you seem surprised. I mean -- talk about priorities, right?

"This question, to my knowledge, has never been asked before."

Yeah, except EVERY SINGLE DAY in the media and to every single politician since Trump starting spouting off about the 'rigged election' crap.

Horrifying, indeed!

bass4funk: "Better dealing with someone who has a bad temper, you can work on someone's temper, but Hillary.... The woman is incapable of telling the truth."

Republicans don't have any grounds to stand on when calling people liars -- Trump STILL denies sexual assault despite being shown a tape of him bragging about it, and quotes from Stern of him saying "I do that", etc. He lied about taxes, hid them even from his own campaigners, and then threatened to sue when PART of the truth came out (he still won't show us the rest, like he demanded of others). He's the biggest liar there is.

You guys are just upset because you KNOW it's over. Hence your buddy here can't even bring himself to uphold the nation's principals anymore with respecting the choice of the public despite supposedly being in an election, in a democracy. But lest we forget you yourself, out of petty anger when Trump's sexual assaults were coming to light said, "I can't wait for the House to reject all of Hillary's legislature". Petty anger, and that's all. McCain and dejected Republicans are trying to figure out how they can put party politics before the nation (despite McCain's "country first" lies) and indefinitely bar any of Hillary's choices even when it hurts them far more in the end (just like you, to say 'no' because they're angry), etc.

And you guys wonder why you keep on losing worse every time.

6 ( +7 / -1 )

Trump doesn't trust us enough to show us his tax returns as every presidential candidate has done in my lifetime.

Given all these Wikileaks report, who could blame him, now his worst suspicions have been confirmed.

But he expects us to trust him to lead this country.

After reading a bunch of Wikileaks, I wouldn't trust Hillary to watch my drink.

He can take a long walk off a short pier. What's utterly pathetic is that some of what he says has merit but he's too inarticulate, among other things, to make it work.

I dunno, Hillary isn't exactly bursting with eloquent knowledge herself.

Trump has handed the presidency to a democratic candidate that many of us would have fought tooth and nail to keep out of the White House,

She's definitely unqualified, that's for darned sure.

Perfect example of living in the bubble. You would think after being wrong for decades now, about wars, the economy, elections, the black President, your own candidate most recently, the wing nut crowd would grow a few and ask, why am I wrong all the time?

You talking about Obama??

But no, we got more nonsense like the above, disjoined, illogical, juvenile, emotional, puerile lies. Well, get ready JT when Clinton is President. The same defective types will just dig themselves a deeper hole of denial and delusion.

Actually, if she does become president, I'll just watch as the country sinks further down the abyss, because truth be told, I didn't think you get worse than Obama, but if she's president, she might make Obama look like a somewhat decent president. No spin right there!

This same delusion that lead to the criminal Iraq War that these folks cheered on right here on JT, the same delusion that lead to the 2008 near depression,

Under a Republican president that was caused by 2 leading Democrats of the Housing committee.

the same delusion that leads most of these folks to think Obama was born in Africa and goes to mosque daily, the same delusion that makes them think Trump is not a racist, sexist, immoral criminal but the saviour of the country. Its sad really, comments like those above are sad. Clinton was so right about the majority of Trump supporters.

Do we really know if Obama was born in Africa? Do we really know if Trump is a racist? As for Clinton, the Wikileaks proved that a lot of people were right about her and it ain't pretty.

-11 ( +1 / -12 )

The woman is incapable of telling the truth.

Hmm... Trump made 37 false claims during the third debate. Clinton made 4.

First debate:

Hillary - 4 false claimse

Trump - 34 false claims

Second debate:

Hillary - 5 false claims

Trump - 33 false claims

Third debate:

Hillary - 4 false claims

Trump - 37 false claims

Total from three debates:

Hillary - 13 false claims

Trump - 104 false claims

And Bass claims she is incapable of telling the truth. I think that it's pretty clear he's a Trump supporter.

"I dunno, Hillary isn't exactly bursting with eloquent knowledge herself."

Nah, she's knowledgeable. I doubt Trump could pick out most of the countries he talks about on a map.

Keep with the crooked line. Questioning her knowledge makes you sound like either a deranged partisan or someone as ignorant as Trump. The latter can't be possible so it must be the former.

Horrible. The Reckoning Evening of Trump the Evil. The Congress should amend the election law to ensure that our existing constitution would never encounter such violations as Trump the Evil's refusal to accept the final results of the 2016 elections--an unprecedented infamy. Trump the Evil's declaration implied that the elections could be just and acceptable only if he is elected. And probably, to "change" our constitution to make him a "neo Fuhrer," or neo-Stalinist dictator tike Putin. Congratulations to Hilary Clinton and the mainstream press. Let's hope that President Obama will instruct his Attorney General to investigate into Trump the Evil's probable connections with our enemies' espionage..What will happen during the final days of this election? Let's also hope that the leaders of the two major parties shall speak out as soon as possible.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

Trump's refusal to accept the final results of the 2016 elections was an additional nail on the coffin of his ambitions and business-like adventure. I'm wondering what kind of legacies that his descendants will suffer.

Northernlife: Well, sir, you can rally around the flag as much as you like and let "patriotic" leaders like Hillary Clinton lead you to the grave, but me, I'm not willing to let some phony like her do me in. And ... I'm not a Trump supporter nor a Clinton supporter. The moderator could have asked a better question, but said that he had been constrained by the questions given him. Which leads me to ask another question: By whom were the questions vetted? And that "Keep you in suspense". As he need not have answered the question in the first place, I think he was simply flipping you off, Mr. Patriot.

Torafusan:

" @WilliB, now you are trying to equate James O'Keefe with legit journalists whose code of ethics prevents them from lying about being from the phone company "

Again, shoot the messenger. The democrat activists who are on film scheming to rig the election speak for themselves. The fact that they did not know there were being filmed does not change that.

(n the same way that Trump was not aware that he was being taped with his "grab the p***" bragging. I have not seen you dismiss that on the grounds that it was bad journalism. So which is it? One standard for one party, another for the other?

-4 ( +2 / -6 )

Mr. Donald Grope said "US election was R-I-G-G-E-D that's why peoples didn't vote me". Mr. Donald Grope doesn't have strategy for implementation for his policy. That's why he couldn't answer question every times moderator asked question. Mr. Grope will insult Mrs. Clinton instead of answer the question.

Mr. Donald Grope said "I'll run this country like I run my Company" How many times US has to declare Bankruptcy protection if Mr. Grope was accidentally becoming President of US? Mr. Donald Grope will be richer while US was seeking Bankruptcy protection because he can buy building and land at bargain price.

How intelligent person Mr. Donald Grope was? 9-month pregnancy can be cesarean delivery in the operation theater if mother can’t deliver naturally and baby doesn't need to kill. I think even 7 months premature born baby can be survived in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). A late termination of pregnancy often refers to an induced ending of pregnancy after the 20th week of gestation. The exact point when a pregnancy becomes late-term, however, is not clearly defined. Some sources define an abortion after 16 weeks as "late".

Donald Grope thought politician can change rule, law and constitution whenever he or she likes. So that’s why he said again and again to Mrs. Clinton, like that “Why don’t you change the law or rule you have been doing for 30 years in politic”. He doesn’t understand even the President can not change law, rule and Constitution unless the Congress has approved.

I thought if Donald was elected as President and then it will change everything in US politic and the world. Honesty, I was impressed with him first but later I thought Donald will make America will upside down but not great again.

Mr. Donald Grope was mega-narcissist and mega arrogant person. In fact, his parent wasn’t breeding him for President and he was born to be brothel owner like his forefather.

And Bass claims she is incapable of telling the truth. I think that it's pretty clear he's a Trump supporter.

One problem, when you add all the 35.000 emails and the thousands that were released by Wikileaks that number of her lies increases 100 times.

Trump is 70 years old think he would have sorted out his temper issues by now...the guy is just totally unfit for office..

Hillary is 68, you would think she's old enough that honesty counts and that that covering up lies, crime never pays, but then again for her, it kinda did. How do you amass a billion dollars by just speaking???

Nah, she's knowledgeable. I doubt Trump could pick out most of the countries he talks about on a map.

If she did, she should have known that emails can get hacked, duh? LMAO

Keep with the crooked line. Questioning her knowledge makes you sound like either a deranged partisan or someone as ignorant as Trump. The latter can't be possible so it must be the former.

Actually, no. She's smart, because, she tried to pull one over the American people, she cares, but takes money from foreign leaders from countries that have some of the worst human rights abuse. So the woman talks out of one side of her mouth and lies on the other side. Smh.

You got it backwards. With her, the next four years will be much the same (whatever you think of them), with him, the next four years would be a disaster. The very action of electing him would cause a huge hit to the economy, as all his talk of repealing trade deals and NAFTA etc, throws uncertainty into everything. When there is uncertainty, investors stop investing, the stock market drops/crashes, new ventures cannot get funding, which means there are less new jobs, and less money in the economy, and everyone hurts. The irresponsibility of everything he has said means that electing him alone would hurt America bad.

Fury at debate as Trump refuses pledge to respect a Clinton win

16 years of Democratic fury at losing their 1-month contesting the 2000 election in the media and in the courts, ending in Gore v Bush (argued at the Florida and US Supreme Courts!), ...

You got it backwards. With her, the next four years will be much the same (whatever you think of them), with him, the next four years would be a disaster. The very action of electing him would cause a huge hit to the economy, as all his talk of repealing trade deals and NAFTA

As it should be repealed, I know too many people that lost jobs over NAFTA.

etc, throws uncertainty into everything. When there is uncertainty, investors stop investing, the stock market drops/crashes, new ventures cannot get funding, which means there are less new jobs, and less money in the economy, and everyone hurts.

The middle class is already shrinking and has been shrinking under this president, this is where Trump gets most of his support, but since the media focuses primarily on the coastal liberal states, most people wouldn't know it.

The irresponsibility of everything he has said means that electing him alone would hurt America bad.

And electing Hillary would be far worse, so bad, dare I say, Obama just might seem he did somewhat ok....barely...a smidgen...a tad...minuscule...1000th of a fraction acceptable?

ending in Gore v Bush (argued at the Florida and US Supreme Courts!), ...

Please get your assertions right. The US Supreme Court case was brought by Bush, and was therefore titled Bush v. Gore. Bush was the plaintiff -- with the crazy assertion that human examination of legally cast ballots to determine the intent of the voter -- as has been done for nearly 200 years when the difference is razor-thin -- was somehow improper.

Even after the Florida courts ordered a state-wide recount.

The failure of that test of democracy rewarded America with two fallen, smoldering towers at Ground Zero within a year.

Not much more to talk about when it simply boils down to Billy Bush being an idiot for mentioning the tape to impress his new coworkers in his first month on the job.

Really? So electing Gore would have stopped that?

As for your main point ...

By the theory of the day, "Fury at debate as Trump refuses pledge to respect a Clinton win", occasioned over a few comments barely suggesting doing what the Democrats actually did:

The Democrats should not have called for a recount, should not have contested it in the courts up to the Florida Supreme Court, and should have given up without going to trial when Bush contested them at the US Supreme Court. They had plenty of chances to 'not do' what they are preaching Trump should not even suggest today.

Did they 'not do' any of that?

Torafusu,

Not much more to talk about when it simply boils down to Billy Bush being an idiot for mentioning the tape to impress his new coworkers in his first month on the job.

Or payback from the Bush family. For the insults to the family and the hostile takeover of their Insane Party. He gets to play dumb and a big fat cheque into his bank account after being "fired" ...

Trump has sure made some enemies along the way with his personality cult...

Its your best shot at this point.

This particular source, from a story released a couple of months before the latest debate, gives a time of 5 to 6 minutes between the president receiving a warning and missiles hitting cities such as New York.

People can suspect or guess anything they want, but a former SoS joking about it on twitter would presumably be US government proof of their guess.

Much ado about nothing. I never heard of anyone conceding an election before it was held.

-2 ( +4 / -6 )

This week the media is in rapture over Obama calling out Trump for "whining" about rigged elections, and is itself calling him out for threatening to contest the election ...

While last week, Hillary and Al Gore were on the stump complaining about the 2000 and 2004 elections, both of which they contested:

http://www.breitbart.com/radio/2016/10/20/caddell-media-selective-memory-when-comes-democrats-accepting-election-results/

... “All he said was, ‘I’ll wait and see what the results are,’ which is a reasonable position, I suppose,” said Caddell, also pointing out that Democrats challenged the results of the presidential elections in 2000 and 2004. ...

... Hillary Clinton and Al Gore were still claiming Al Gore won the 2000 election as recently as last week in Florida on the stump together:

As the crowd chanted and Hillary smiled and nodded approvingly, Gore continued his thought process by suggesting that he actually won the 2000 election by warning the young voters to not be in a position “years from now” welcoming Hillary Clinton and saying to her “actually you did win, it just wasn’t close enough to make sure that the votes were counted.”

Through this entire sequence, Mrs. Clinton continued to smile and nod in agreement.

And in the past, Obama (2004) and Hillary (2000) both called for the scrapping of the Electoral College because the Dems lost in 2000!: http://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/264347-obama-clinton-backed-reforms-to-electoral-college-after-bush-v-gore

After Bush v. Gore, Obama, Clinton wanted Electoral College scrapped - 10/27/12 ...

... during a WTTW television debate against Republican Alan Keyes in 2004. When asked, “Yes or no, eliminate the Electoral College?” Obama responded, “Yes … I think, at this point, this is breaking down.” ...

Shortly after the 2000 election, as a newly-minted Senator-elect, Clinton called for direct elections of the president. ... “We are a very different country than we were 200 years ago,” Clinton said at a news conference. ... “I believe strongly that in a democracy, we should respect the will of the people and to me, that means it’s time to do away with the Electoral College and move to the popular election of our president.” ...

So, should we expect a wave of pertinent articles calling the Dems out on their short attention spans? Because, really, only a week and they've already flipflopped their position on this?

This election has been an ugly and very nasty little extension of the gender war, with Clinton mentally armed fto unleash all the female vitriolic spite that females bottle-up where men are concerned. To have this highly flawed woman as president will do America much harm - but Left Wingers have as a priority only their own political agenda, NOT the country. It's all become as sick as a parrot on meths.

Evidently you think you are. Does anyone else LOL at your comments though?

Much ado about nothing. I never heard of anyone conceding an election before it was held.

The way Trump answered that is the whole reason he is even in the race. It is the media that are all saying now that he had the best debate ever, was cruising to a knockout victory. And then he blew it, he blew the election that one answer, it was gone. Maybe there are one or two in the media that have a clue what is happening in this country and in this campaign, although they are probably going to be out of a job when it is over.

You've been going on about how nothing will change under Hillary - that is what will keep investors comfortable in investing. If you'll notice, the stock market is quite high right now.

http://www.wsj.com/articles/u-s-companies-dial-back-investment-despite-upbeat-economic-signs-1464306924

Companies are pulling back on investments despite a solid labor market, a strengthening housing sector and continuing low interest rates.

High, but not enough to calm the fears and turmoil of the market.

The ones that think liberals are living in a giant animated Unicornverse.

@pukey

It's TV. Obama went on Ellen and tried to dance or at least give the impression that he has rhythm. ROFL

You do not sound like a person of limited intelligence. As a U.S. citizen (living in Japan) I agree with much of your comment. I agree fully that this will probably go down as the worst presidential election, both for Republicans and Democrats. I also agree that those in power will do everything to stay in power. I think if you are from the EU you probably see this as well.

I do think this debate was much better than the other 2 and several important subjects were discussed. It started to drift toward the sewer near the middle of the debate but the moderator did a decent job of reeling things back in.

As a U.S. citizen I have found the process this year an embarrassment and I have concluded the process needs significant reform, a strong 3rd Party is needed in the U.S., and term limits are needed for all elected officials (will never happen).

In the end it seems that those supporting Trump strongly seem to think he won and those supporting Ms. Clinton strongly think she won. I did not see a clear "winner" of this debate and thought they both did much better than in previous "debates".

Again you do not sound at all like you have limited intelligence. It is always interesting for me to see how non citizens perceive our candidates and the process.

The ones that think liberals are living in a giant animated Unicornverse.

What, like other trolls? I mean, seriously - if you're just going to say "liberals" when you fling about these accusations of lying, hypocrisy, delusion and alcoholism (but you like writing comments while drinking a microbeer, don't you?) and not "some liberals," "a lot of liberals" or even "most liberals," what are you doing if not writing inflammatory remarks with intent to insult and offend other readers here? I'd call that trolling, although it seems the moderators take a more lenient view of it. I also wonder what view they take of the possibility that you're using these discussions for the purposes of engaging in paid activities without prior consent? Did you not say or imply that the liberals here were keeping you busy and that it was good for your bank balance? If not, perhaps you would care to explain exactly why Obama, Clinton and Democrats have been so profitable for you?

Incidentally, I'm not in favour of liberals throwing out blanket insults at conservatives either. I'm a bit more sympathetic towards it but I think it's trolling as well. I might very well think that some conservatives are living in an altogether different fantasy universe, but I can see that there are a lot of conservatives that are smart, realistic, principled and decent - specifically the ones who haven't been taken for a ride by Donald Trump.

From what I can tell from reading the posts, it seems most of the liberals from every country have moved to Japan. I don't know if there are any real native Japanese posting here but if they are, I would surmise the Japanese that post here are also very liberal for a socially conservative country. However, I think most posters on JT are predominantly liberals from other countries.

The electoral college has to go to make it a real democracy.

It's a Republic. Rule by mob isn't a "real" democracy.

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

It's clear enough.

Sixteen years of the Democratic leadership whining about the 2000 election (or as Hillary would have said last week, 'selection'), followed by the last few days of Democratic leadership whining about the sudden virginal purity of USA elections.

-1 ( +1 / -2 )

It doesn't matter who gets elected. We are still gonna face the same social problem we have. We seem to have a short term memory. Every four years, we get excited and passionate about a candidate, thinking that a new face into the oval office will change things and make lives of the American people better. These politicians don't give a damn about our well being or that of the rest of the world, unless they profit from it.

Voting is just a waste of time. All of this is just an illusion. This time it's even worse because both candidates are disliked by the Americans and the rest of the world. Maybe we shouldn't blame the "elected politicians" but rather the people who have voted for them.

-2 ( +0 / -2 )

I remember that Al Gore refused to accept his election results, and media praised him for that. What happened? Must be a sea change in the corporate media philosophy... (/sarcasm).

Clinton is appalled? How appalled must she be to be married to a rapist?

What a hypocrite!!!

"she called Trump the “most dangerous person to run for president in the modern history of America."

But who listens to the most dishonest person to run for President in the modern history of America? Judging by the sales of her new book....and the lack of attendance at her rallies - not very many.

Just sad watching her have to hide away and get Bill and Barack and Michelle and celebrities and the media doing her campaigning.

Sadder that some gullible people will excuse all her years of lies and deceit.

She is so bad she was fired from the Watergate gig.

It appears that Donald Trump has been offering "out of print," signed copies of his own book The Art of the Deal, for donations of $184 minimum, when the book can actually be bought for $16.99, thus generating royalties he kept for himself.

Strangerland:

" He's not the messenger, he created the message. "

No, he is the messenger. He did not direct anything, he recorded what the cooked politicans and their helpers said.

The amount of partisan zealotry that it takes to ignore that is astounding.

-2 ( +0 / -2 )

No, he is the messenger. He did not direct anything, he recorded what the cooked politicans and their helpers said.

It's ironic how much you guys go on about the MSM being biased, and how they cannot be trusted, meaning that you fully believe that a message can be distorted in its delivery. But then when someone points out a guy who has done exactly that, you fully deny the possibility of the message being able to be distorted.

Get your stuff straight boys, you're all over the place. Pick a stance and stick with it.

How did O'Keefe distort the videos of the Democrats' dirty tricks operators Creamer and Foval and the Democratic Manhattan election commissioner?

I missed where you showed that. Is this another snopesing?

Yep. But we know you guys won't admit when Snopes proves you wrong.

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

By snopesing, I meant you posting 'See! See! Debunked X!', when 'X' wasn't even claimed, and then saying because 'X' debunked, that items 'Y, Z, W, A' are disproven without actually addressing items 'Y, Z, W, A'.

I know snopes does that but in this case I meant you directly, not you posting a snopes link.

Strangerland: Why would I re-write something Snopes already wrote?

Except that snopes' article on the topic is exactly as I described: http://www.snopes.com/2016/10/19/scott-foval-reportedly-fired-from-political-organization-over-sting-videos/

In snopes article, there is a single paragraph copied from WaPo about O'Keefe selectively editing videos from 2009, and some claims made by targets that more recent PV videos were edited, but no evidence given at all of those claims.

There is even a statement approximating 'that's not who were are', from Democracy Partners, but that was apparently made after Scott Foval was outed in video no. 1, because they disclaim him (see statement below) and mention firing him, but no mention of their CEO, who resigned after he was outed in video 2.

As far as you personally, still no evidence provided by you, only bald statements without evidence. Did you even link to the snopes article? Maybe not, because it's really clear they're not even trying to debunk anything with that article.

Statement at snopes link from Bob Creamer's Democracy Partners (evidently made after firing Scott Foval but before Bob Creamer resigned, because as most everyone knows now, "statements that do not reflect our values" and "WE CONDEMN VIOLENCE AND ELECTION TAMPERING IN ALL THEIR FORMS" is total BS):

One of those individuals was a temporary regional subcontractor who was goaded into statements that do not reflect our values. WE CONDEMN VIOLENCE AND ELECTION TAMPERING IN ALL THEIR FORMS. We go to extreme measures to ensure no violence takes place at any of our events. Period.

AFP: Clinton declared herself “appalled” by what she said was an attack on 240 years of U.S. democracy.

Did any reporter dare to ask her: "What about last week, when you were complaining about the 2000 Bush 'selection'?"
