They have letter prepared from the guy in case he died, and they still can't figure out why he did it?
Are they that stupid or that self-righeous?

Straight from Thomas Jefferson:
As far as I can see this is precisely how the 2nd amendment was meant to be used, and that is a scary thought. The U.S. now has a big decision to make. Either disarm the populace and admit their tyranny or leave the populace armed and live in fear of the people (as Jefferson and others intended).
As for executing this guy... that's just the government trying to make the people afraid of them, and it would be nothing but murder in the service of tyranny.
Jean Val-Jean
I absolutely, unequivocally support the entire Bill of Rights, without which the current Constitution would not have been ratified. That said, what this person did is inexcusable. His actions were plainly offensive and not defensive. No agent of government was acting against him. What he did was simply just criminality, not patriotism.

Investigators are doing thorough investigation, They are not telling guess or speculation. They are not stupid. They just don;t guess with prejudiced mind. The guy is alive. More interview follow. If they release someone's guee and it differs with this guy's talk, it will be stupidier/ Good investigation publics expect to hear. Take time, investigators. This is not one hour TV show. Public prefer fact than rushed up guesses.
