Only the most hardened cynic would fail to recognize President Obama's humanity.

True, but I don't see the point of that.

If it's helpful to the families, then that's the only thing that should matter.

I am a hardened cynic. If we had a president with less humanity and more balls we would not have ISIS killing people in the middle east, Europe, and America. Arguably this incident would never have occurred had Obama any real middle east policy. But as the region has fallen apart since the Egyptian revolution, Obama has sat on his hands and done nothing, nothing at all. And since he has refused to act, the vacuum has been filled by ISIS. Now Russia is also filling the vacuum, and expanding their influence (and power) in the region.

I hope Obama takes as much time to visit the families of the hundreds of thousands of others killed in Iraq and Syria, many of whom might be alive if he had the courage to do something other than make empty speeches and strong statements without daring to back them up with action.

Only one more year until this worst-of-all-presidents is out of office. God forbid we ever get stuck with another such as he.

Arguably this incident would never have occurred if Bush 41 and Bush 43 hadn't invaded Iraq and stationed US troops throughout MENA.

Obama has sat on his hands and done nothing, nothing at all.

Once again you're veracity is at best questionable. In your culture there's an old saying: the truth shall set you free. Try it some time.

Now if he would only do the same with the families of the Benghazi attacks.

Arguably this incident would never have occurred if Bush 41 and Bush 43 hadn't invaded Iraq and stationed US troops throughout MENA.

That old debunked argument again? Ok, had Clinton taken out OBL in 1998, we wouldn't have had an attack on 9/11, but he allowed him to slip and dodge the bullet.

Classy move by Obama.

@Bass That old debunked argument again?

Once again your veracity (e.g. claims the racial divide in the US started 7 years ago, pulls numbers out of the gunsmoke, etc.), understanding of history beyond a meme used by The New American, and ability to reason with any clarity is at best questionable. In your culture there's an old saying: the truth shall set you free. Try it some time.

Who besides you has ever debunked the argument that the Bush wars didn't directly lead to the current mess in MENA, which is now spreading worldwide?

He did. He not only met with the families but also honored them in a formal ceremony.

What you are insinuating is pure rightwing conspiracy theorizing.

Nothing to do with "rightwing" or "leftwing", but it is apparent that Mr. Obama is indeed by his rhetoric, action and inaction "promoting" ,if not actually "coordinating" and "helping" Islamic or Muslim movement within the USA. So far nothing he has said or done has benefited the people of the USA and the rest of the world, except the Muslims.

Can anyone name something that he has done which actually benefited the USA or the world?

It definitely appears that None of what he has said or done "achieved" any results that we can properly measure and state that, his rhetoric and actions have made this world that much better.

Even in this instance, he has "caused" us to argue and fight over issues which only "divide" us as a people and as a culture.

Only people that choose to live in the unicornverse would think that race relations are solid.

I did, that's why I'm telling you.

A person that chooses to deal with reality.

I saw that and this coming from the woman that blamed the Bengahzi attacks on a video that was made by a Coptic Christian, but her seized mail accounts have shown she said to her own daughter and the president of Egypt that the attack was caused by radical Jihadists.

Yeah, this coming from an honest woman. ROFL

Yeah, riiiight....The families have absolutely nothing to lose at this point. Hillary has everything to lose. I'll take the families word over Hillary's.
