It figures . . . the real knuckle draggers are at it again.

Even a jihadi-type, female, muslim (resembling the notorious Paris suicide bomber- Hasana Aitboulahcen) in on the action.

http://www.latimes.com/local/lanow/la-me-ln-trump-protest-san-jose-20160602-snap-story.html

The mayor, a Democrat and Hillary Clinton supporter, criticized Trump for coming to cities and igniting problems that local police departments had to deal with.

Bingo! What about all the illegals coming to CA cities and igniting problems that EVERYONE has to deal with.

Some banged on the cars of Trump supporters as they left the rally and chased after those on foot to frighten them.

That's madness. They're resorting to more and more violence, coercion and intimidation. . . . & some say we need to scrap the 2nd amendment . . .(sheesh). This is when it makes the most sense to carry.

Not a fan of Trump. Not a fan of violence. It's not the way, people.

17 ( +17 / -0 )

A group of protesters attacked Donald Trump supporters who were leaving the presidential candidate’s rally in San Jose on Thursday night. A dozen or more people were punched, at least one person was pelted with an egg and Trump hats grabbed from supporters were set on fire on the ground

Inexcusable. I've said it before, I say it now, and I'll keep on hammering it:

Trump has every right to spew his hateful con. His fans have every right to hear him spew his crap.

That is what it means to live in a free country: the right to be wrong.

9 ( +12 / -3 )

I guess Trump isn't going to unite the United States. More like divide and conquer. He'll rip this country apart.

0 ( +11 / -11 )

Round them up and throw them in the slammer. Degenerates!

-5 ( +6 / -11 )

"At some point Donald Trump needs to take responsibility for the irresponsible behavior of his campaign,” Liccardo said."

Trump's message is targeted at the uncivilised. That doesn't mean protesters have the right to act in an uncivilised way.

5 ( +11 / -6 )

I guess Trump isn't going to unite the United States. More like divide and conquer. He'll rip this country apart.

I was wondering how long it would take for someone to try to blame it on Trump.

0 ( +8 / -8 )

I was wondering how long it would take for someone to try to blame it on Trump.

I agree with the others that violence is inexcusable and not the way to protest, but a person who implies that an entire group of people are nothing but criminals and rapists is certainly not a uniter.

0 ( +5 / -5 )

people wanting to stop the democracy, how ironic.

1 ( +6 / -5 )

but a person who implies that an entire group of people are nothing but criminals and rapists is certainly not a uniter.

Very well DONE Mr. Goebbels. VERY well done.

-4 ( +0 / -4 )

The level of political incivility in the US is just remarkable. Trump sounds like a third grade boy calling people names. And it is at the third grade level.

0 ( +6 / -6 )

It's the Democrats that are using violance, and illegals also. Many want a free ride they can't get elsewhere.

2 ( +6 / -4 )

. . . but a person who implies that an entire group of people are nothing but criminals and rapists is certainly not a uniter.

The issue here is free speech, which you choose to attack rather than defend.

2 ( +5 / -3 )

Shows that non-Trump supporters, democrats or not, are just as uncivilized and uncultivated. They have no right to claim they are righteous when they commit unrighteousness. Double standard at its finest.

1 ( +4 / -3 )

This has got to be a satisfying moment to be a Trump supporter. After months of abusing non-whites, of calling for religious bigotry to be institutionalized at the federal government level, of harassing and insulting any woman who ever dares to express a critical opinion, it's finally happened: a handful of people got egg on some Trump follower t-shirts and messed up some Trump merchandising tat. Trump's fans finally get the chance to be what they've always wanted to be - victims.

No doubt soon the rhetorical trick of painting a tiny number of barely-violent protesters are representing everyone who disagrees with the Trump campaign will soon follow.

-2 ( +5 / -7 )

Liberals showing the hate they harbor once again! And burning the American flag! Really!!! i blame the MSM ovewhelmingly against Trump from the start and the gullible who follow their agendas

Trump says some controversial comments but look into his actions. He is no bigot. And he is far from stupid. You will only find the truth if you search it out, not from the media.

Very vicious California Lib-gang style attacks. Seems to be attacking white, military (San Jose) and especially minorities wearing the Trump or USA colors.

It is sad San Jose mayor and police will do little to nothing to stop this gang of thugs.

2 ( +5 / -3 )

It is only helping Trump and his cause. A lot of people saying they never realized how much Hispanics hated Americans until this election.

-1 ( +5 / -6 )

Why does Trump keep referring to that judge as a Mexican?

2 ( +6 / -4 )

"A group of protesters attacked Donald Trump supporters who were leaving the presidential candidate’s rally in San Jose on Thursday night. A dozen or more people were punched, at least one person was pelted with an egg and Trump hats grabbed from supporters were set on fire on the ground."

How rude.

Question: If Donald Trump is such a bad candidate, why is Hillary Clinton virtually tied with him in the polls?

1 ( +5 / -4 )

From a non-partisan, independent voter viewpoint, it looks like more ballots will be cast for Mr. Trump thanks in large part to the violent anti-free speech knuckle dragging Mrs. Bill Clinton-Sen. Sanders supporters who show up at Mr. Trump's rallies. . . .

-3 ( +6 / -9 )

"At some point Donald Trump needs to take responsibility for the irresponsible behavior of his campaign,” Liccardo said."

Funny, when are the protesters going to take their reponsibility and allow people the FREEdom of speech without being violent and getting in people's faces? Savages!

Trump's message is targeted at the uncivilised. That doesn't mean protesters have the right to act in an uncivilised way.

The ONLY uncivilized and classless person in this entire event is HRC.

-2 ( +7 / -9 )

http://dailycaller.com/2016/06/01/judge-presiding-over-trump-university-case-is-member-of-la-raza-lawyers-group/

United States District Court Judge Gonzalo Curiel, the man presiding over the class-action lawsuit against Trump University, is a member of the La Raza Lawyers of San Diego

The "Mexican" judge should step-down from the Trump lawsuit.

0 ( +5 / -5 )

"The ONLY uncivilized and classless person in this entire event is HRC."

I take it by 'entire event' you mean the campaign. You mean the Trump supporters who think the abolition of slavery was a mistake are civilised and classy? How about claiming to have seen something which there is no evidence for like thousands of Muslims cheering the 7/11 ( ? ) attack?

You're an honest man, Bass, and you told us the Libs are the untrustworthy ones. I'm sure you'd be furious at someone who claimed to have read or seen something which doesn't exist to prove a point. That's inexcusable.

2 ( +7 / -5 )

Oh yay, stupid people are at it again. Trump supporters violent against Trump opposers, and Trump opposers violent against Trump supporters.... getting way too many idiots in our country nowadays.

I say toss 'em in the slammer if they can't protest peacefully. And charge anyone who acts like this with assault. Get the point across that rights can't overstep laws that are placed to protect everyone's RIGHTS.

j@ck@sses.

If this how Americans treat each other then it seems that Mr Trump is needed.......

2 ( +6 / -4 )

"A dozen or more people were punched, at least one person was pelted with an egg and Trump hats grabbed from supporters were set on fire on the ground." - article

A harvest of racial prejudice fertilized with the manure from Trump's mouth.

Proof Donald J. Trump's campaign of hate breeds hate.

The most effective protest against Trump's hate is the vote.

Campaign for truth and the racism of Donald J. Trump will lurk back into the slime pits of David Duke's Holocaust Denier podcasts, FOXNews' propaganda and Rush Limbaugh's lobotomy clinic heard daily on AM radio in the States.

-6 ( +2 / -8 )

Candidates are allowed to express their opinions. Supporters are allowed to support those candidates. Only the left however thinks they are so correct that they feel entitled to bully, attack and shut down other forms of free speech and political petition.

The mayor may not agree with Mr. Trump and his supporters, but he has an obligation as an elected official to defend their right to free speech and assembly, and to control those who would disrupt and engage in intimidation to those exercising those rights. However, he is a Mrs. Bill Clinton supporter who sympathizes with violent, totalitarian knuckle dragging leftist thugs. . . .

0 ( +8 / -8 )

badsey, what is the problem with being a member of La Raza Lawyers? They are an apolitical association. Should we now allow legal defendants the ability to choose their judge based on criteria such as ethnic background and apolitical association?

Just as was said of Watergate - "The cover-up was worse than the crime" - Trump had better watch himself here. He's treading on very dangerous ground.

1 ( +4 / -3 )

"Only the left however thinks they are so correct that they feel entitled to bully" - comments

Poor Donald J. Trump. Another helpless victim billionaire trying to breathe free the stench of his racism.

Maybe he should beg FOXNews to stop their attacks on his campaign. That's where those billionaires are pilloried every day.

Poor billionaire Trump helpless to extol religious hatred and prejudice.

-2 ( +2 / -4 )

Violent Democrats doing what they seem to always resort too, violence when others stop listening to their scams and nonsense, such as the scam of their socialism or nonsense like supporting Hillary the felon. Interesting is since Democrats always resort to violence to force others to see their view, it sort of explains why Democrats have no problem with the violent elements if Islam running around Europe and their desire to import the insurgents. I guess the Democrats need more violent members so they can have more violent protests.

-1 ( +5 / -6 )

I guess Trump isn't going to unite the United States. More like divide and conquer. He'll rip this country apart.

When the protesters wave "Mexican" flags they're showing their loyalty to Mexico and not the USA. They're creating the division.

Proof Donald J. Trump's campaign of hate breeds hate.

The Mexicans were the ones burning a US flag, not the Trump supporters. The punching and egg throwing was done by the Mexicans, not the Trump supporters.

Did you hear their classy chant? It went: "f" Donald Trump, "f" Donald Trump . . . . . . .They looked like a bunch of "thuggish" Oakland Raider fans, angry cause they lost another game.

0 ( +4 / -4 )

badsey, what is the problem with being a member of La Raza Lawyers?

The Chicano movement embraced the ideology of Mexican intellectual Jose Vasconcelos, who wrote that the joining of the indigenous people of Latin America and the Spanish conquistadors was producing "la raza cosmica", the cosmic race. As Chicano nationalism surged in the 1960s, the movement embraced it. Scholars Guillermo Lux and Maurilio E. Vigil wrote: "Vasoncelos developed a systematic theory which argued that climatic and geographic conditions and mixture of Spanish and Indian races created a superior race." "La raza" was a source of pride for many Latinos, the most militant of whom adopted the motto: " Por la raza todo, fuera de la raza nada" — "For the race, everything, outside the race, nothing." But it drew resistance from many leaders who sought a place for their people within the broader American society. Cesar Chavez was one of the most outspoken critics. "I hear about la raza more and more," Chavez told biographer Peter Matthiessen. "Some people don't look at it as racism, but when you say 'la raza,' you are saying an anti-gringo thing, and our fear is that it won't stop there. Today it's anti-gringo, tomorrow it will be anti-Negro, and the day after it will be anti-Filipino, anti-Puerto Rican. And then it will be anti-poor-Mexican, and anti-darker-skinned Mexican.">

= this judge needs to step down and I don't like the way he is making a continuing court case selectively public. Either publicize the case, but do not pick and choose parts to be made public.

Republican candidates typically skip campaigning in the SF Bay Area because they know it's a waste of their time: the area is so strongly liberal-leaning that there is no way they will garner enough support to be worth the time or expense. Sounds to me like Drumpf came to a strongly liberal area with a large Hispanic population largely to troll and see if he could provoke just this kind of reaction.

-2 ( +2 / -4 )

This has got to be a satisfying moment to be a Trump supporter.

That don't matter. The only point here is that political street violence is unacceptable. It is unacceptable for the easiest to grasp of reasons: political violence destroys democracy.

I've said it before, I say it now, and I'll say it again, and again and again:

Trump has every right to hold a rally, and his supporters have every right to show up, participate, and leave, without being molested. They were molested. That is wrong. Period.

4 ( +5 / -1 )

the area is so strongly liberal-leaning that there is no way they will garner enough support to be worth the time or expense

This can be said, in general, for the whole state of CA. Its a blue state, a red one.

Sounds to me like Drumpf came to a strongly liberal area with a large Hispanic population largely to troll and see if he could provoke just this kind of reaction

When he was in Costa Mesa, all the thugs came out. Do you see them on TV?

When he was in Chicago there were protesters. The protesters are throwing fuel on the fire and undermining the "educated" & "non-violent" protesters.

The only trolling going on is on the Trump supporters. They're being assaulted, threatened, chased and getting their vehicles all banged-up by the thugs.

Trump has every right to hold a rally, and his supporters have every right to show up, participate, and leave, without being molested. They were molested. That is wrong. Period.

And likewise, the anti-Trump crowds may lawfully gather to show their disapproval of Trump's presidential campaign. But they must do so non-violently. But we all know most "thugs" (no matter what color) are incapable of doing such. Especially illegals and real low-life Mexicans all throughout the state of CA.

0 ( +3 / -3 )

Agreed. He should be allowed to speak and the protesters should not use violence. Trump will continue to bait Hispanics and they're just going to have to man up and handle it.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

"Trump will continue to bait Hispanics and they're just going to have to man up and handle it." - comments

This is where real political organization provides solutions, not cheap sensationalism.

That is Donald J. Trump's stock and trade.

On the topic of sensationalism, what most readers here see is provocation is double edged sword.

Trump provokes; calls Mexicans rapists, condemns a Federal Judge as Mexican and endless other examples, and the result is predictable.

Anger from Trump supporters and those he attacks.

Again, as the quote above points out, Trump's campaign of hate is best answered with real political organization not the easy target of Trump supporters leaving a venue.

Some of those people were probably attending to better understand Trump's weird appeal.

As disgusting as Trump is, the more Americans hear his delusional fragments of dementia the more Americans will understand a racist isn't what a President should be.

Trump is just trying very hard to be that racist demagogue and so far that is all he has accomplished.

Let Trump sink his own campaign into the cesspool his mind believes Americans should be treated to.

That in itself is the most damning characteristic of Donald J. Trump. Contempt for the American People.

-1 ( +1 / -2 )

Politics in America is like a popularity contest in reverse. It's the candidate that offends the least amount of people that will get elected.

If you look at the demographics of actual voter turnout over the years you will see that non-Hispanic whites, over the age of 60, turnout to vote the most. Currently non-Hispanic whites make up a little over 75 percent of eligible American voters. So like it or not, the non-Hispanic white baby boomers are still in the drivers seat. They're the big bump in the middle of the bell chart of American voters.

Now, I know it's popular to demonize this group, but they're not all bad. The sheer magnitude of their numbers ensures that their opinions play a pivotal role in the direction the nation takes. If it wasn't for them Obama wouldn't have got elected, if it wasn't for them same sex couples wouldn't have the right to marry. Of course if it wasn't for them the NRA wouldn't have as much clout and George W. Bush would have never been President.

Thanks to the media, every time the anti-Trump demonstrators behave like this they are putting on a show for all of America to see. And a lot of those people watching are non-Hispanic whites over the age of 60. That's right.... Old White People!

Spitting on the American flag, physically assaulting people for attending a rally, screaming F TRUMP! F TRUMP! in some old lady's face, is probably not the best way to sway Old White America to your side. And whoever wants to win in November needs these Old White People on their side to do it. These demonstrators are paving Trump's road to the White House one riot at a time.

0 ( +2 / -2 )

Let Trump sink his own campaign into the cesspool he believes the American People should be treated to.

The most damning characteristic of Donald J. Trump is Contempt for the American People.

Trump confirmed that contempt in a five year long fraud now subject of a forty million dollar prosecution in California and New York.

Poor Republican Speaker of the House Ryan.

The last best hope for the GOP-tea has now soiled himself with Trump's disgusting record of criminal designs and racism.

-2 ( +0 / -2 )

kcjapan - This is where real political organization provides solutions, not cheap sensationalism.

It's one thing to support Hillary, it's quite a different story to advocate/downplay the violence of Mexican nationalist, psychopaths within the Democrat party, and anti-free speech thugs. Are you paid per post or are you just a really enthusiastic supporter of ol' Hillary?

1 ( +2 / -1 )

Protesters who targeted attendees of Trump's Loyalty Rallies are not helping remove the hate Trump has created.

Answer Trump with votes against racism and the curse of Donald J. Trump will dissolve into the Federal Penitentiary where he will spend the rest of his miserable disgusting life for committing fraud on thousands of innocent and desperate American Citizens trying to survive the disaster of George W. Bush's financial disaster and wars based on forged documents..

-4 ( +0 / -4 )

I could not imagine, as an expat here in Japan (legally) going to a Japanese candidate's political rally and attacking supporters of that candidate. Even more so I could not imagine being in the country illegally and engaging in such activity. I would expect to be imprisoned and deported. Unfortunately the United States thinks we should allow more people like this into the country.

I fully support those that wish to show their dislike of Trump (Personally I dislike both) but these are not protesters....it is a violent mob. This is insanity.

Afterwards the mayor of San Jose (Sam Liccardo) and Ms. Clinton blamed Trump for this.

Wow!

kcjapan - Protesters who targeted attendees of Trump's Loyalty Rallies are not helping remove the hate Trump has created.

LOL. You make it so obvious. The Mexican nationalist, the anti-free speech thugs, and the Hillary worshipers, must not to be held responsible for THEIR OWN violent actions. It just has to be someone else's fault.

Back on planet Earth the picture was quite different . . .

"The San Jose Police Department told the Daily News late Thursday night that a few arrests had been made, but did not have details about the number or possible charges."

"Sgt. Enrique Garcia said that no significant property damage had been reported, but that one officer was assaulted."

As readers here have clearly stated, violence and the threat of violence is not only unacceptable, but a direct and destructive assualt on Democracy.

The facts, however, should not be buried in the sensationalism that the Trump campaign is based on. Quotes provided are sourced and are subject to independent verification.

The protesters will die down, but the unmistakable footprint of Trump's racism and bigotry will be with the GOP for a long time.

Yes, many READERS here have clearly stated that violence and the threat of violence is not only unacceptable, but a direct and destructive assault on Democracy.

Other readers however refuse to hold the violent thugs responsible for their thuggish behavior. They seem to believe that it must be someone else's fault that Mexican nationalists and anti-free speech thugs are physically assaulting people for daring to hold political opinions different from their own. That is your basic assault on Democracy.
