It's funny to note that the reason this driver got the footage he did of the meteor was because in Russia most drivers need cams on their dashboards so they can protect themselves from insurance scammers. No surprise they are looking for fragments to sell on the Black Market.

Happy to see (on TV & the Net) some of the fragments that have been found at the crash site. Am still waiting to see what's left of the big one that boomed across the sky above Russia.

Yes, video registrators (dashboard cams) are very popular across Russia nowadays. As well as, say GPS / GLONASS car navigators. The mentioned cams help to protect from insurance scammmers and also gave us incredible footage of that huge meteor.
