Yep. We're looking at HRC smashing the plus 6% nationally she needs for Team Dem to re-take the Senate. Trump is that bad. Hell, if one more 'surprise' like P-gate just happens to come along, we're talking 8% national lead, and 55 Senate seats for Team Dem.
That's 3 Supreme Court justices my friends. For a generation.
Thank you Donald Trump. In your own terrible way, you've helped America.
Lizz
if Trump is running behind Hillary Clinton by as much as 11 percentage points, the margin in an NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll conducted after the Trump comments came out but before the Sunday night debate.
And "If" you believe that poll conducted by Hart Research Associates/Public Opinion Strategies headed by the guy that is currently working as a strategic adviser for a Clinton SuperPac. I don’t even think the media sees a “collapse” in the polls honestly. They just want us to believe it.
serendipitous
Wait till the comments he made on the set of 'The Apprentice' come out. Rumors are he used the n-word. There is a transcript of one of the episodes where he talks about Emily West, a musician, 'I assume you’re gonna leave this off, don’t put this s on the show, you know. But her skin, her skin sucks, okay?” he says, according to the transcript. “I mean her skin, she needs some serious fin’ dermatology.”
He wants to start extreme vetting. Sounds like the GOP should have done that with its candidates long ago!!
Black Sabbath
Ha! All that and P-gate would have helpedhim in the primary. He started with racism, remember? Questioning Obama's birth certificate. He insulted Kelly with bleeding from her eyes, from her whatever.
Its not new folks. For the 40% who voted for Trump in the primaries, his racism, and blustering wannabe grey back manly man is a feature. Not a problem.
Again: this is the center of the Republican party. They are bad, bad people.
plasticmonkey
Another twist to this strange tale is that the Trump camp is now encouraging its voters to abandon GOP House and Senate candidates who do not support Trump. It's a lose-lose situation for the GOP.
Götterdämmerung of the Republican Party.
Mike L
Don't worry S will be along soon to tell us that Trump is going to trounce Clinton and that we are ALL wrong.
Black Sabbath
I think you may be right.
I'm working on a poem:
Trumpty Dumpty said "Bild that Wall." Trumpty Dumpty had a great fall. All the Repub horses and all the Repub men Couldn't put the party together again.
Mike L
All the Trumpets will be along shortly to tell us he is going to be crowned emperor despite all the evidence to the contrary.
nadaku
Wouldn't that be wonderful if we could get all 3 - presidency, the senate and even the house!
One shouldn't be afraid to dream a little bigger. Thank you Donald!

But a ring implies a closed loop. The music's over for the Don, but there will be spin-offs, new groups formed with new leaders. Trump's given hope to white nationalists and gun hobby extremists, many of whom must be aware that time and demographics are not on their side. They're going to fade in numbers, but never go away completely.
Like the poor, the benighted will always be with us. And may their circle, be badly broken.
Strangerland
I had to look that up. Seems to be a pretty good fit!

Think about it. Hilary wins, and the voting conspiracy rumors will go on just like the birther rumors have for the last two terms. Trump will try to nationalize some kind of revolt, as it costs him nothing to spout stuff. It could mean whatever new court appointments, whatever new laws past will have a great struggle being enforced. It doesn't end with Hilary winning. Just as it didn't end when Bill took office. They never stopped. Just think back.
Strangerland
You're right. The Republicans have done their best to shut down the government over the past 8 years, and even managed to do so for a few weeks a couple of years ago.
But they are sinking further and further into irrelevance. They went from Bush, an abject failure by pretty much everyone's standard, to Palin, as loony as it gets, to Romney, who was just as loony though not as stupid, to Trump, who is about as sleazy as it gets.
In the meantime, they've doubled down on extremism, and unreasonable policy, trying to limit the power of anyone who isn't a white Christian male.
Remember after the last election, there was all this talk about how they needed to reflect about where they had gone wrong, and about how they needed to court minorities more? Then four years later they seemed to have forgotten that that talk ever happened, and ended up with 17 loonies in the clown show, which they weaned down to the two biggest loonies (Trump and Cruz), and finally selected the more bigoted one.
I thin we're seeing their swan song. Though this likely won't be the end with this election, sometimes things take a long time to die.

To my knowledge Trump doesn't use cigars other than for smoking. That's enough for him to become POTUS in my book....

Hmmm, even Bill's down on the economy, what should we do?
Somehow 4 more years of a Democrat in a White House held by the Dems for the last 8 years doesn't seem to be the answer.

A new poll shows 68% of Trump supporters believe Obama is lying about his childhood and place of birth.
Gotta hand it got the GOP, Trump, and the right wing media on that one. You don't often see misinformation campaigns reap such a stupid voting base.
Strangerland
The Republicans do their best for eight years to oppose everything and anything they can, countless votes to repeal obamacare, shutting down the government.
Then blame the president for nothing getting done.
This is why the Republican party is a failure.
turbotsat
How many is 'countless' and when was obamacare repealed? They don't even have a countless numbers of days in session. When did they shut down the government? How did they stop Obama from rescuing the economy? Didn't he spent a half billion just on Solyndra? Isn't the debt double what it was since he took office, $20T vs $10T? Are you complaining just to put something out there?
Strangerland
I don't know - I lost count. And it wasn't repealed even after 350349 votes by the Republicans. It just shows how ridiculous they are, wasting ridiculous amounts of government time so that they could ensure that some people wouldn't be able to remain healthy.
Fall 2014 I believe. I can't be bothered to research the exact date though - could have been 2013.
Blah blah blah. More showings of the complete obliviousness by the right of how they have damaged their country over the past eight years.
An opposition party as a check and balance is a good thing. But an opposition party that does absolutely everything they can in their power to make sure that the country cannot move forward is broken, and anti-American.
turbotsat
Apparently the 2013 shutdown took $24B out the economy. That's actually the people's money that they got to hold onto a little longer than usual. But aren't you embarrassed to compare $24B with $9T?
350349 votes? Really?
Strangerland
I would be if I was a member of the party that put two wars on the company credit card and crashed the economy, costing the next guy $9T to fix.
In fact, I'd be so damned ashamed, I'd probably do my best to blame the other guy so that people wouldn't realize it was us. Oh wait, no I wouldn't. I'm not a Republican.
zurcronium
Trump is the gift that just keeps on giving. Thank you republicans for nominating a sociopath sexual assault criminal to be the President. You have gifted us the WH, the Senate and now even potentially the House. Your party is a complete failure in terms of government operation but now it has become a total failure in this years election cycle. Congratulations.
If this all comes to pass then the USA will start to make progress again, like California has done under 100% democratic control. States that are 100% republican control are shrinking, of course. This is a proven fact.
Odds running even now that Pence will dump Trump in order to save his political career. Ryan, by dumping Trump, has given him cover now. Who would vote for Trump now? Only his basket of deplorables followers I guess. We will find out how many Americans like that there are on November 8th.
ChinhDao
The Americans will appreciate very much the media--especially, the Washington Post, the New York Times, the CNN, NBC--for their professionalism in bringing about the death-knell evidence regarding Donald Trump, who will enter the US history as Trump the Gopher. Let's hope that the US opinion will be redirected toward protecting our international prestige and leadership. The Trump Infamy is just accidental.
bass4funk
You mean the people, the GOP never was for Trump.
Hey, even if that's true and the Dems take all 3, the Dems can't help themselves, at this point, it might not be a bad idea if the Dems get all three and the country can ONCE AGAIN! See how they muck things up just like they did and once again, the GOP will get the House back two years later and later the Senate, I wouldn't worry about that at all. Lies are incapable of being fiscally responsible. Had it NOT been for the GOP stopping Obama, he would have continued spending and the country would be at a $20 Trillion debt rather than $10 Trillion.
If you call more debt, more unemployment, more closing of small businesses, higher taxes and an implosion of Obamacare (coming soon) more entitlements, more Black unemployment progress, then I am scared what you call ZERO progress.
Naw, Pence is not a coward, doubt it, and that's good on the man for having the strong convictions of not being like the Democrats and changing according to which direction the wind is blowing and just falling in lock and step. Good on him for not being a Lemming.
JefferyDomer
@ChinhDao
Well, you have now just proved another really important point. It seems that Hillary supporters are really a low information crowd. Since you are praising the Washington Post, NY Times, CNN, NBC, it appears you are unaware that 6 major companies control 90% of all US televised and printed media.
CNN for example is TIme Warner. NBC is General Electric News Corporation owns the major newspapers on 3 continents (N.America, Eurpore, Australia) Basically 232 excutives control the information diet of 277 million Americans
and the sad thing is, alot people just take the info at face value without question. Go watch Trumps most recent rally the other day in Pensylvania. Maybe his best one yet. Id love to watch a Clinton rally but she rarely has them.
Strangerland
It's almost funny watching the Republicans now trying to distance the party from Trump, as if the party didn't create the environment that enabled him to come to power, and as if the party didn't choose him as their leader through their own rules.
Kind of how they have tried to blame the Iraq war on Clinton, to try to distance themselves from their foolish decision to invade.
What's that they say about chickens coming home to roost?
SuperLib
Ah, well if I hear a recording from Trump talking about grabbing women by the pu**y on any of those stations, I'll be sure to take it with a grain of salt.

Todd Topolski
The Democrats, are deluding themselves. They are throwing stones in a glass house while forgetting Hillary is in fact totally corrupt and incompetent. Her mistakes in Arab spring resulted in a terror army and a new slave industry. She will be rejected and with her the Democrats. 10 long years of Democrat misery and 8 years of the bstackalypse is what will keep the Democrats out of power

Pence accepted being on the ticket with Trump and he's screwed either way now. If he drops out the Trump supporters will be furious. If he doesn't drop he'll carry that baggage well past the 2020 election that he was eyeing for a presidential bid which, of course, is very near impossible.
Not many other ways to to look at it, a large part of the Republican Party is screwed now and they all owe it to the Republicans selecting Trump as their "man". Yeah! Go Trump!
Seapig
@Serrano
Yes, interesting...
In the video Trump was described as being at a time in his life where he was a billionaire playboy, jetting around and enjoying the "grabbing".
And here I thought he was supposed to be at a time in his life where he was a newlywed with a wife that was a pregnant with their son!

And here I thought Hillary wasn't supposed to be taking millions of dollars from the Saudis who she knew was funding ISIS. Perspective, people, perspective.

It must be terribly frustrating knowing that Hillary and the totally corrupt Democrats have already fired probably their last good shot at Trump whilst it's only going to get worse for Hillary as each day more comes to light about all her scandals.
"... and it wasn't even a very good deflection considering she was accepting money and not giving them money (which I'm sure you would say was going to fund ISIS)"
Yeah, because it WOULD be true! ( if you give money to somone who gives money to ISIS, guess what Seapig, you ARE funding ISIS )

As personality, Hilary is more likeable. She is polite, fliemdly, and persuasive. However she is not strong enough to stand for a long time. For his age, Trump is amazingly strong and energetic. Unlike other candidates, Trump does not need a chair and sick leaves
He is more suitable as commander in chief.

He sends them fresh ammunition just about every day. I doubt if they're really that worried.
...whilst it's only going to get worse for Hillary as each day more comes to light about all her scandals.
It's actually getting a lot worse for Trump in case you hadn't noticed. I'm not sure if the Wikileaks emails have really had quite the impact of what Trump likes to call his "locker room" comments, i.e. party leaders distancing themselves from him, donors wanting their money back, terrible opinion polls... but perhaps it all looks a lot better for him in whatever alternate reality you seem to occupy.

Just so we are all on the same page: 1 in 5 Republicans saying his vulgar comments about groping women disqualify him from the presidency.
Said another way: 4 in 5 Republicans believe bragging about sexual battery is not disqualifying for the presidency. 4 in 5 Republicans.
I'll say it again: the problem is not Trump. The problem is the Republican party. Trump is the symptom. The disease is the party.
The cure is VOTE DEM.
