Another sign of the south becoming like the north.

The south is not so different from the north after all! Must have learned their democracy lessons in China.

With such neigbours how can there be unification.

Well at least Park doesn't have a Harem and hasn't executed an uncle or a relative because they had a growing popularity. Though I must confess deportation of these people for publicly expressing their views seems a tad overkill.

I never knew that free speech was banned in South Korea?

Hey, guys in the White House and the State Department, can you say something more resolute then "reservations"? It's wonder how selectively US government applies its standards of free speech.

Honest Abe can only dream about such power to quash free speech. This is who you support America a dictator in sheep's clothing. More proof the ROK is becoming like Mainland China and its northern cousins. Then Republic of Korea has never been free in the American definition.

Guess how long free speech would survive in Japan or the USA, if the Communists posed a serious threat of taking over.

The NSL prohibits the spoken or written promotion of North Korean ideology, deeming any such activity to be “anti-state” and subject to up to seven years imprisonment.

Well, Germany has similar laws against Nazism. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Strafgesetzbuch_section_86a

Damn, they arrested her for stating her opinions ? I guess there is no freedom of speech in South Korea

They have been so accustomed to American Freedom of Speech. They did not realize S Korea did not want American minded people stir up their country. They know better of N Korea than Americans who haven;t lived in Korea those years.

Both Korea get Americans to both them but N Korea sent back. S Korea might send back. It is emough USA bosses Middle East.

@toshiko You are happy if SK loses all freedom of speech like China, basically. The civilized world should disagree with that.
