Remember, this is an assassination. Now, if she was paid, or said she was, then she knows who and where. If they are not from the area, their innocence claims start to fall apart. So many details in this case to prove guilt. Travel, precautions, you name it. Also, public records of their lives for the last twenty years. Friends. Jobs. Photos. The case, of course, is much bigger than them. If they protest their ignorance, then they should be more than willing to help the law discover the process of their deeds.

"...help the law discover the process of their deeds."

The prosecutors need to find the money trail. Assassins are paid big $$$. If the investigators can't find this money or arrangements for its payment, which should be easy, then they can't convict. If it was merely $90, as the Indonesian said, then that supports the story she was duped into thinking it was a TV prank.
