Aleppo?

Stop calling them rebels. Jabhat Fateh al-Sham also known as Al-Nusra Front also known as al-Qaeda in Syria are jihadi terrorists. If they are now "rebels" then they are only being legitimized as good "terrorists" because they fight Assad who is now an enemy.

Somebody, anybody please explain why the Syrian Army shouldn't storm Eastern Aleppo, just like the Iraqis did in Mosul, to expel Al Qaidi from the entire city.

And why isn't the US helping to fight Al Qaida.

Somebody, anybody please explain.

Watch some "Frontline" journalism episodes in regards to the situation. It's a lot more complicated than you might think, and certain countries will not act on certain concerns due to various disagreements.

With pleasure.

The US policymakers think they are the brightest types in the world. They create a monster to fight their enemy and then think the monster will just go away when it is not needed any more. The US created (with Saudi funding) Bin Laden in Afghanistan in 80-90s to fight the Soviets. But this US-made monster refused to go away, the result is very memorable - Sep.11, 2001.

Now the US has another enemy - Assad. To fight him as a proxy the US (again with Saudi and Qatar funding) created another monster - a motley bunch of "rebels" (thugs and throatcutters in fact). The US declares this scum "democratic opposition" (yes, folks, Saudi Arabia fights for democracy, can you believe it!), train and arm them in the hope they'll fight Assad. They do it more or less eagerly, but also they (sur-pri-i-se!!) ally themselves with anti-US forces in Iraq and actually fight American troops and allies. Stand-by for another Sep.11?

Rank stupidity of US policymakers is absolutely phenomenal, they are completely unable to learn from their past blunders.
