I hope the Canadian Immigration inquiry website is back online after the US presidential election - they may need it, a lot!

Lots of scenic pop-up ads about immigrating to Canada on my social media, but I am not a fan of snow.

A country with true courage, that stands up to cowards instead of giving in to fear and paranoia. Well done, Canada!

Unfortunately none of the US celebrities actually moved. Claimed they were joking because was no way Trump could actually win. But he DID, so keep your promise and increase Canada's population even more.

Canada is amazing. We are actually trying to immigrate there now. We are in the process of hiring an immigration lawyer. We made the decision last year. Canada, in my opinion, is the greatest country in the world to raise a family.

Best quote I've heard all day!

Good on them! There is definitely an enviable quality of life in Canada that would be highly attractive to those looking to immigrate

Canadian cities always make it onto lists of the most liveable cities in the world. A fine country.

If my company offered me the chance to transfer to Canada, I'd be there in a flash. I think I could tolerate the constant snipes about football's popularity ;)

Hence the tax increases, rising crime, strain on services and neglect of citizens. Trudeau looking for his 'I love me' moment.

You could watch the Canadian Football League! (http://www.cfl.ca/)

Research is showing about 40% of jobs will be eliminated by automation in 20 years. So Canada in particular needs to figure out what it's going to do with a possible ballooning labor surplus, ie vast armies of unemployed people with nothing to do, nowhere to go, in the future.

Large-scale immigration is the last thing advanced countries like Canada should be doing now, if the predictions are correct.

I'm with Smith on this one, a country with true courage, I still hope Cher and the rest of the Hollywood ilk will go and all the women from the view, Canada has a lot to offer, they have a growing film industry, cold, yes, but they could help it, relocate and stay there. I'm all for it!

You guys would cry foul and Trump would create some law to jail them if they won't stay. Same with all the companies that should leave your nation to destroy itself as well.

@Aly Rustom, good luck, although I don't really think you need luck, just be a good person. And when you get here (maybe even to my home city of Victoria, BC, where we don't get all that much snow and the flowers are starting to pop up as I write this) you should look me up. You're one of the more moderate commentators here on JT. @inkochi, @Reckless, we get a bit of snow, along the south coast of BC, but I've even had the opportunity to take off my shirt and start tanning in January and February, in many years. That's why, here in Victoria and Vancouver, we affectionately call it La-La Land.

No, NOT Hollywood! I really would jump for joy if these people were to move permanently up North, save us a lot of grief and whining

Uh-hu, right....lol

They should brace for even heavy taxes and the next many generations to pay for Government's debt if the current government continue its tax and spend scheme. In many way, But, who case, there will be pots all over for people to smoke away from reality.

I would be interested to see where these immigrants to Canada originated from and where in Canada they settled.

If I was going to immigrate to Canada my first pick would be Vancouver, that place is absolutely beautiful and the people are great.
