Why write a story before there is any news to report?

Putin probably wasn't on board so Trump cancelled.

a new, separate agency within it dedicated to handling cybersecurity.

Curious if this will happen, if the Don will eliminate federal agencies, or create new ones to fit his needs.

@wolfp Why write a story before there is any news to report?

Is your point that the media should only print stories after the fact? Free press means just that, that any outlet is free to report what it chooses when it chooses. What they report could be bang on, fake news or anything in between. Whatever they report is subject to issues of legality and the laws of the marketplace. And readers are free to ignore what's been reported, question it, find other sources, or write a post to an online board. Why are rightists and Russians so afraid of a free press?

"..........and very sacred."

Trump's words and behaviour become more like North Korea every day.

There is news. It says right in the title:

Trump pledges beefed up cybersecurity

Well what would you like me to say, Fred. Trump is obviously sweeping the Russian hacking under the carpet and now I'm supposed to cheer him for beefing up cybersecurity? He wasted his goodwill on the issue and now it's up to him to earn it back .

His choice.

I think by now all those conspiratorial theories have played out, but always good click meat for liberals. Lol

What 'conspiratorial' theories? Trump himself admitted it was probably the Russians. Are you doubting the word of your anointed one?

To insinuate that Trump didnt do something he said he would do. If he signs something its too fast, needs more review! If he doesnt sign something, its too slow, he is flip flopping, he doesnt know what he is doing, etc

This is going to be a long 8 years.

Oh, I do very much believe that the Russians had a bit of a hand in this election, but to completely throw it in his favor, as if he told the people of Wisconsin, Pennsylvania and Michigan to vote for Trump or in some miraculous or mischievous and devious way change all the voting machines to flip the election. That kind of theory, even thinking about it, is the basic groundwork for another far fetched Oliver Stone movie. Lol

If he doesn't do something he said he would do, how is it an insinuation?

I'm sure it is. Sucks lying in that bed your team made, doesn't it.

Yeah I guess insinuate wasnt the word I was looking for. Whatever word that means, he didnt sign it so....he must be a lying, evil, flip flopper is what I was looking for. It is of course not simply reporting that he didnt sign it but also suggesting any and all negative connotations that it can. He still has the same pledge, just didnt sign the document yet.

As far as everything else, I was hoping that adults would finally enter into this and support decisions based on what is best for the people. The people made their voice clear that they are tired of do nothing politicians, but some of them still not hearing that.

I would like to see that too. But you can't suddenly change tack, then blame people for not changing tack with you. You play the team game as much as anyone. If you want others to play the adult game, then you need to do it for a while first, to show you are serious.

The people made their voice clear that they are tired of do nothing politicians

Hmm, not too sure how to respond to that. The people made it clear that they wanted the Democrats. But Trump cannot be considered a do-nothing politician, so the premise of your statement has some base flaws to it.

No, they didn't. That is a complete and utter lie, if that were true, Democrats in EVERY sector of US politics would be in high numbers and they aren't, they are at their lowest. Also, why is it that foreigners think they know what's good for America, seriously, I don't get that. My God, I'm really starting to worry about the lefts mental stability. They are losing it and badly, it's not even funny anymore. Creepy!

Moderator: Accusing another reader of lying is not acceptable. Also, we have cautioned you at least twice to be tolerant of opposing views and refrain from answering every post that criticizes President Trump. You are not his spokesman and your obsession with Trump is unhealthy, so for your own good, you can have 24 hours off from posting.

I expect you will never have anything to say about another nation.
