Not listed in this article is the fact that he said the US was wrong in trying to push Western style democratic governments on people who do not want it. Again, this article is misleading. If one were to read the entire speech, he said that we need to be deliberate with our allies, but not telegraph to the enemy our intentions to come at them. In the speech he goes on to show how we tell ISIS where we are going to bomb them, giving them time to get out of the way. Be unpredictable with an enemy is a sound military strategy.

The concept of stability without nation building sounds fine, except what exactly is his approach to stabilizing the world going to involve ? So far thru this year’s primary season there has been a net change of 15 million votes moving from Democrats to Republicans. In the 2012 Presidential election Obama garnered about 5 million more votes than Mitt Romney. A shift of 5 million votes would have given Romney the Presidency. In four of the five primary states Tuesday independents were not allowed to vote. In 2008 the Democrats surpassed the Republicans in these states by a total of 2.5 million votes. Today, the separation is less than 700,000 votes. Not to mention recent polls that have Hillary and Trump in a virtual tie. Does anyone here seriously believe there has ever been an American President who didn't put America's concerns ahead of any other country's? It's never happened. You can believe that a Presidential administration's policies were in error or had unintended consequences or benefited certain Americans over other Americans, but one would have to be delusional to imagine that anyone would go through the hell of an election campaign only to turn around and think, "You know what, screw my country, I think I'll help someone else out instead."

I am talking about the spread from the number of voters Republicans are up and Democrats are down. Obviously it is not all going in one direction. But Trump is bringing in enough new voters along with crossover Democrats, many of whom are likely staying home, and Independents that with his five blowout wins Tuesday night, he has passed Mitt Romney’s popular vote total from four years ago and is on a trajectory that could land him more Republican votes than any presidential candidate in modern history – by a lot.

How is anyone confused about "America First" policies. Trump or any president of the USA should always have the USA first as his perspective. I would expect the politicians of any country to put their own country first. Why donate 1 billion to country X to help starving people when that same 1 billion can be used to help starving americans? I think Obama will have a great legacy, but he was too indecisive in his 2nd term, I think out of his disdain for anything that had to do with Bush, and could be argued that he is the reason for a Trump emerging. And while that notion may be reassuring to people desperate to believe all their problems are someone else's fault, it doesn't stand up to much scrutiny. Why would someone at the head of the most powerful and richest country on Earth undermine that country's people for the benefit of a less powerful and less rich country? Simply compare how the US has treated other countries with major human rights violations. Look at Myanmar. If what you said is true, why have both Republicans and Democrats been so selective when it comes to this policy of ignoring human rights in favor of trade. And surely it couldn't have anything to do with appeasing the multinational corporate campaign donors that had major investments already in China at the time of Tiananmen Square. And no idea that favored nations status would favor China at the expense of the US? Do you believe that Presidents don't have economic advisers now?

Trump has experienced both the inside and out side the financial and political world both nationally and internationally as no one else has. He has experience success as well as failures and have proven to be more successful than others. He knows that he is NOT the master of everything but knows that he can get and use those who are. He also knows that in order top "preserve" his already established "legacy" and "financial empire" for his heirs, the country (the USA) must not only survive but be strong and prosperous. He does NOT have to "prove" himself.

The country that can keep his legacy and his heirs safe and prosperous is the USA. So given the present situation, circumstances and environment, he has committed to run for President.

We all know that No one runs for President with JUST IDEALS or to "serve" the public. There is and has to be a "selfish" motive. If that "selfish" motive serves that individual only then the nation suffers. If that selfish motive serves a purpose that includes the nation, than that nation may benefit.

It is the people that must "choose" the "leader", he who has "included" the nation to serve his selfish motives.
