He can go to every black church in the nation and I would still never vote for him.

Like his Mexico trip made any difference?

0 ( +6 / -6 )

My guess is that it was zero percent like this. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zHV2TddUe1w He's got Ailes as an adviser now in addition to Stone et. al. - the latter are battering rams; the former is insidious.

Still, this is Trump they're working with. He will find a way to screw this effort up.

0 ( +4 / -4 )

His handlers are trying to get the cheeto-flavored toothpaste back in the tube. Some undecideds might fall for it, most others will continue to apply the duck principle. Or maybe just accept that a leopard's spots don't change, even in their dotage.

Does anyone know if he's released his tax statements? It would be very interesting to see where in the world he's made investments and who all he owes money to. $650,000,000 in debt? I know he has properties and businesses in Istanbul. What's his relationship to Sultan Erdogan? China? Russia? The Arab Gulf states?

I'd also like to see his actual health reports. He's over 70 and long been overweight. No wonder his handlers are training him to read from the teleprompter; fewer chances to expose his limited knowledge of the lives of the hoi polloi, aka the losers he's long looked down on.

Must be another day of rest for Hillary. I hope she starts to feel better.

Her handlers lost the key to her pod ... they better find it before the debates start ...

People who underestimate Trump don't see the amount of people who would never vote for a Clinton out of spite, Bernie supporters who she polarized, and independents who hate both Trump and Clinton. As we can see, lately Trump has been moving toward the center (his radical supporters must be too dumb to see it), and if he can be successful in winning over, not black voters, but white voters who think he's a bigot, he'll giving HRC a run for her money (no pun intended).

0 ( +3 / -3 )

Does anyone know if he's released his tax statements?

Pence said that he would release his taxes next week and that Trump would at some point. Probably just the first couple pages, though, so don't count on a breakdown of the aggregate amounts listed.

-3 ( +1 / -4 )

During the campaign to become president is not the time 'to learn'. The president should already know.

0 ( +4 / -4 )

He can go to every black church in the nation and I would still never vote for him.

They don't have to. But then they shouldn't complain if the status of their social economic situation doesn't change.

His handlers are trying to get the cheeto-flavored toothpaste back in the tube. Some undecideds might fall for it, most others will continue to apply the duck principle. Or maybe just accept that a leopard's spots don't change, even in their dotage.

So you're saying they should just continue and go with the same policies that have been keeping them down since the 60s? Hmmm...interesting. Personally, I wish more libs would be concerned as they seem to be now then they were 50 years ago when they didn't care at all.

I want to see them as well, he should release them and I want to see Hilary's transcript on all of her speeches and records pertaining to her foundation-period.

I'd also like to see his actual health reports. He's over 70 and long been overweight. No wonder his handlers are training him to read from the teleprompter; fewer chances to expose his limited knowledge of the lives of the hoi polloi, aka the losers he's long looked down on.

Both of them, Hillary's as well, since it seems she can't recall a lot of things, especially when it involves her emails, servers, Blackberries, I worry, if she has that much of a problem remembering things and she needs help standing up.....not so sure, she's 68 not in the best of health. We need to be sure. But yes, both of them need to show their health records.

Trump finally decides to learn something two months before the election. Maybe all the African-American voters will vote for him now that he has visited a black church for the first time in his life. And maybe the Hispanic population of the US will all vote for him now that he spent a couple of hours in Mexico recently. Or he may just be learning what he already knows......that he isn't going to win in November by a long shot.

-1 ( +5 / -6 )

He can go to every black church in the nation and I would still never vote for him.

I am not sure he is talking to you since you've already made up your mind.

Like his Mexico trip made any difference?

It made a huge difference. He is now in a dead heat with Hillary.

During the campaign to become president is not the time 'to learn'. The president should already know.

First of all he is not the President yet and most all candidates running for President learn as they go along. Just like Bush AND Obama.

1 ( +5 / -4 )

First of all he is not the President yet and most all candidates running for President learn as they go along. Just like Bush AND Obama.

I'd agree Bush was learning as he was going. What a fiasco.

Obama on the other hand already knew when he got it, which is why he's been such an amazing president.

Sorry, but it's not a job that has the freedom to allow for one to figure it out as they go.They already need to know how to do it.

-3 ( +8 / -11 )

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sfZDKWo2LxE (Trump speech at this Church)

-1 ( +2 / -3 )

It's obvious he doesn't have a clue how "other" people live their lives, none whatsoever.

0 ( +5 / -5 )

They already need to know how to do it.

Did you read the FBI transcript ? After Congress subpoenaed documents, after the FOIA requests, after the New York Times laid out that she had a private server, what does she do? Order that her blackberries by smashed with a hammer after being scrubbed and take bleachbit to part of the emails on an illegal private server. And pretty much rely on the 'judgement' of career professionals for anything more sophisticated.

0 ( +5 / -5 )

Obama on the other hand already knew when he got it, which is why he's been such an amazing president.

Here's a quick look back at some other times the President has claimed innocence, as pointed out by both Bongino and former CBS reporter Sharyl Attkisson:

Fast and Furious: When asked about the gun-running scandal that resulted in the death of border agent Brian Terry in 2010, President Obama told reporters on Oct. 11, 2011, "I heard on the news about this story, that, uh, Fast and Furious."

NSA spying on foreign leaders: President Obama said he didn't know his administration was spying on foreign leaders like German Chancellor Angela Merkel. He told the press on Oct. 28, 2013 that, "I can assure you that I certainly did not know anything about the IG report before the IG report had been leaked through the press."

The General David Petraeus sex scandal: Petraeus, then the director of the Central Intelligence Agency, was forced to resign in Nov. 2012 after news surfaced that he was having an affair with his biographer. The White House repeatedly refused to answer questions about when the President was finally briefed about Petraeus' situation.

The IRS's targeting of conservative groups: President Obama told the media in May 2013 that he first learned about the IRS's improper targeting "from the same news reports that I think most people learned about this. I think it was on Friday."

The Justice Department's wiretapping of AP and Fox News reporters: When asked about the secret seizure of reporters' phone records, Obama spokesperson Jay Carney told the media that the president "found out about the news reports, uh, yesterday on the road."

The Department of Veterans' Affairs healthcare 'waiting list' scandal: The White House appeared to be in the dark about the waiting list scandal and cover-up related to medical care for the country's military vets. Then-Press Secretary Jay Carney told reporters that, "We learned about them through the reports. I will double check if that is not the case. But that is when we learned about them."

The Unauthorized Air Force One photo-op: New York City residents were panicked when, in April 2009, Air Force One -- sans President Obama -- flew over the Statue of Liberty for a pre-scheduled photo-op. Obama's response: "It was something that, uh, we found out about, uh, along with all of you."

“I fully understand that the African-American community has suffered from discrimination and that there are many wrongs that must still be made right,” Trump said.

Just a tad bit different than the speech he gives his white crowds.

0 ( +8 / -8 )

Sept. 03 2016,

Hillary Clinton 40.3% Donald Trump 42.6% can't wait for the debates!

0 ( +6 / -6 )

"inside, churchgoers who chose to attend Trump’s speech speak said they thought it was important to hear directly from the Republican nominee as they weigh their options.

“I’m here to hear what he has to say,” said Milton Lewis, 46, who works as a minister at another church.

“I have a very open mind,” echoed Pierre Curtis, 69, a Great Faith Ministries International congregation member for more than 20 years."

Because of people like this, Trump may get more black support than Hillary would like.

"Detroit is about 80 percent black, and many are struggling. Nearly 40 percent of residents are impoverished, compared with about 15 percent of Americans overall. Detroit’s median household income is just over $26,000 — not even half the median for the nation"

Great job, Obama!

"He can go to every black church in the nation and I would still never vote for him."

So, you'd rather vote for Too big for prison/Laws are for peasants Hillary Clinton?

"Like his Mexico trip made any difference?"

Heck, even The Young Turks, who are reluctantly supporting Hillary, say it was a big win for Trump.

"He is now in a dead heat with Hillary."

If Trump is such a racist and a liar, how could he be in a dead heat with "the most experienced candidate to ever run for president" according to Barack Obama?

3 ( +7 / -4 )

Why is English "speech" yet you use "speaker" = very confusing for Japanese.

1 ( +2 / -1 )

If Trump is such a racist and a liar, how could he be in a dead heat with "the most experienced candidate to ever run for president" according to Barack Obama?

Because the right has run the longest, and most successful, smear campaign against Hillary for years now.

-5 ( +8 / -13 )

This is interesting: "Burgess Owens: Trump's Detroit remarks were 'refreshing' " ( Fox News )

0 ( +2 / -2 )

Smear campaign? Hillary is doing a great job by herself or does she have Dementia because she has difficulties recalling everything, if so, then she really shouldn't be president of she can't remember anything, she could prove to be a big security risk, besides being a lair, that's a double whammy.

First of all he is not the President yet and most all candidates running for President learn as they go along. Just like Bush AND Obama.

Obama sadly, didn't learn anything, the Black community is worse off than it was under Bush and even then it wasn't as bad, but just look at all the largest Black cities that embrace Democratic policies. Rahm Emanuel is a horrible mayor, an absolute disgrace that he would allow South Chicago to become one of THE most violent cities in America and yet, these people keep voting these crooks in again and again. I just don't understand. And now you have one ot the worst presidents that doesn't care and who is about to leave (party time) and will leave with a divided country and out of control deficit and a more racially charged nation.

-7 ( +3 / -10 )

These are interesting:

"Trump gets 'gracious' reception at Detroit church" ( Fox News )

"Trump the only candidate offering specifics?" ( FoxNews )

-2 ( +3 / -5 )

Clinton 46% and Trump 42% according to an average of all polls. Scary that it is even that close but Hillary will still win by quite a margin...thankfully.

0 ( +5 / -5 )

Clinton 46% and Trump 42% according to an average of all polls. Scary that it is even that close but Hillary will still win by quite a margin...thankfully.

Actually, it's not certain. One thing is for sure, if you are a Deomcrat and in the Hillary camp, these are NOT good numbers to celebrate, two weeks ago, yes. But now, they gap is closing and for Democrats, they can't afford to be that close in the polls. For Trump is not a victory by a long shot, but at least people are listening, he softened his tone, but remains firm on immigration and now he's starting to pick up steam again.

So while Hillary does have a slight lead, it's not a large substantial lead to celebrate, maybe if you are a Hillary supporter, but if you are a Trump supporter, this is good news.

-5 ( +3 / -8 )

@Serrano It is interesting that an MSM outlet provides so many free political advertisements for one presidential candidate while continuing to claim it's fair and balanced.

Or do you mean 'interesting' in the sense of 'may you live in interesting times'.

Rupert Murdoch's global media empire is pushing Trump. Interesting.

0 ( +1 / -1 )

"And now you have one ot the worst presidents"

No, you haven't. The worst two presidents based on the opinion of the US electorate are the GOP crook Nixon and the GOP warmonger Bush.

You admitted your non-partisan historians who reassessed the Bush presidency and concluded it was a roaring success don't actually exist.

What are you basing your non-partisan claim on now?

0 ( +4 / -4 )

Today's Reuters national poll shows Trump in the lead! Vote Donald Trump 2016! Make America great again!

Dilbert creator Scott Adams is predicting a Trump landslide, though he's endorsed Hillary out of fear for his personal safety, lol

0 ( +4 / -4 )

Dilbert creator Scott Adams is predicting a Trump landslide, though he's endorsed Hillary out of fear for his personal safety, lol

I watched an interview with him. He predicts a Trump landslide, you are correct, but in his own words he doesn't like Trump, and really doesn't want to see him as president.

Some of us are able to separate emotion and logic like that. I'd hate to see Trump president - in fact I can think of few worse things for our planet at the moment - but by no means is it a given that he won't be. He has a very good chance of winning. And I'm not saying that out of fear for my safety, nor is Scott Adams saying what he said for that reason. It's simply being realistic.

goldnugget: Here's a quick look back at some other times the President has claimed innocence, as pointed out by both Bongino and former CBS reporter Sharyl Attkisson: ...

'The most transparent administration in history.'

LOL noobz

'The most transparent administration in history.'

Do you not know what transparent means? If it wasn't transparent, you wouldn't know these things, nor see these quotes.

-1 ( +4 / -5 )

Strangerland: Do you not know what transparent means? If it wasn't transparent, you wouldn't know these things, nor see these quotes.

LOL, the obtuseness defense. Like Hillary's minions telling everyone there's nothing wrong with her health and to even doubt it indicates you're part of a conspiracy, while Hillary was telling the FBI she couldn't remember what exit training she'd had because of her concussion. So which is it?

-2 ( +2 / -4 )

So, is Omarosa actually doing anything to help this white guy?

-1 ( +1 / -2 )

Transparent? Like when Obama said, there wasn't a smidgen of corruption in his administration. What a bunch of Dog.... This aàhas got to be the worst and least transparent of any admin. From fast and furious to the botched Iran scam deal to the ransom money, the lies about Bergdahl, the stagnant under 3% economy, the further decline of the Black family, using the IRS to take out conservative donors, Benghazi, race relations in the country. Anyone that believes all that crap believes in smurfs running around in the forest. The only thing we can look forward to at this point is 65 days until this president and his nightmares will be behind us.

-7 ( +2 / -9 )

Strangerland: Do you not know what transparent means? If it wasn't transparent, you wouldn't know these things, nor see these quotes.

With all due respect, none of the examples shared by goldnugget were taken from official administration press releases. These are responses by administration officials to questions posed by the media, and it would be safe to say that those responses were more opaque than transparent.

The reason we know these things and can see the quotes is because of the First Amendment and Freedom of the Press, not administration transparency.

0 ( +1 / -1 )

National Public Radio interview on Friday with Council on Foreign Relations President Richard Haass, and he defied the MSM mandate by refusing to trash the GOP nominee. Instead, he offered a balanced assessment of the major foreign policy differences between Trump and Clinton, and he had to admit, on balance, that Trump was more likely to negotiate with Russia and China, and less likely to look abroad for "dragons to slay." In other words, Hillary is more in line with neoconservative and liberal R2P interventionist ideologies than Trump.

OUCH!!

Even the CFR President understands Hillary is a NEOCON warmonger. LOL

-7 ( +1 / -8 )

And then all you libs that came down so hard on Bush for the war in Iraq, you guys should be thanking Trump for wanting to pull back and not involve us in any conflict, that's what you guys wanted, but if you think Hillary is a dove, you might have a Bush like Democrat, a person that is very hawkish and wouldn't bat an eyelash to use military force. Trump wants to negotiatiate and he's a moron for going to Mexico to try and establish a rapport, something Dems didn't expect and were caught flat footed. Or are you saying, if Hillary is elected and wants to go to war and you libs are ok with that because she wears a "D" on her sleeve? Hypocrites.

-6 ( +3 / -9 )

lol what a clueless hypocrite.

I thought he had all the answers for the black community on how to solve their problems

Now he wants to 'learn'

pathetic.

1 ( +4 / -3 )

With all due respect, none of the examples shared by goldnugget were taken from official administration press releases. These are responses by administration officials to questions posed by the media, and it would be safe to say that those responses were more opaque than transparent.

You got the information from official press releases. Therefore you know about them due to administration transparency.

With all due respect, trying to claim that a press release is not showing transparency is more of the smear campaign continued.

-2 ( +1 / -3 )

After eight long years of 0bama, only 7% of black high school seniors are proficient at math.

Trump is correct.

What do blacks have to lose?

-4 ( +4 / -8 )

you guys should be thanking Trump for wanting to pull back and not involve us in any conflict

Trump wants to commit war crimes - killing the families of terrorists, and committing torture against enemy combatants.

If you really think that these actions are not going to involve the US in more conflict, you're absolutely kidding yourself.

if Hillary is elected and wants to go to war and you libs are ok with that because she wears a "D" on her sleeve?

Nope. She'll be criticized harshly for any warmongering moves she makes. No passes - we aren't Republicans after all. That's if she even makes any - this is just more of the smear campaign by the right.

But when all is said and done, a warmongering Hillary (which I'm not convinced is true) would still be infinitely better than a torturing Trump, who kills the families of combatants.

0 ( +3 / -3 )

What do blacks have to lose?

You're talking about a group of people who came from slavery. They have lots to lose.

-3 ( +2 / -5 )

Trump wants to commit war crimes - killing the families of terrorists, and committing torture against enemy combatants.

If they come and kill us, of course. Trump is 100% correct. But don't worry, Trump has always been more of a pacifist when it comes to military involvement. You can go back to 1986 and I remember the man always complaining about every US conflict. So you don't need to worry, however if we are attacked, foreign or domestic then that's a different story, then he should do whatever he has to to keep this nation safe.

Nope. She'll be criticized harshly for any warmongering moves she makes. No passes - we aren't Republicans after all. That's if she even makes any - this is just more of the smear campaign by the right.

Given her history, Hillary is sly at slipping the noose. We only have 35 years of history to know this.

But when all is said and done, a warmongering Hillary (which I'm not convinced is true) would still be infinitely better than a torturing Trump, who kills the families of combatants.

Hmmmm.....makes no sense whatsoever. A "Republican warmonger" is bad, but a possible "Democrat " warmonger is good?

LMAO, you just can't make these things up.

-9 ( +2 / -11 )

So for the first time in 70 years he goes to a "Black church" and sways and sings in such an uncomfortable many that it was absolutely painful to watch, and with the media in toe this was no doubt all for a HEADLINE with some hope of showing CHUMP as someone who cares and is really going to change things for the better if he is elected president! This just days after he met with "BLACK LEADERS" behind closed doors, and after his trip to Mexico where shortly after he was deemed persona non grata, yea "Black people" everywhere are convinced now mr CHUMP !! Just keep visiting churches and making promises just like all other politicians have done and once you are elected just develop a servers case of amnesia. This has got to be one of the most disappointing and downright sorry excuse for an election in the history of elections. Two candidates who are equally clueless and shouldn't be trusted to take out the garbage.

2 ( +5 / -3 )

But don't worry, Trump has always been more of a pacifist when it comes to military involvement.

You do realize he supported the (illegal) invasion of Iraq, right?

So you don't need to worry, however if we are attacked, foreign or domestic then that's a different story, then he should do whatever he has to to keep this nation safe.

In one post you go from criticizing Hillary for being a warmonger (and calling us hypocrites in the process) to promoting warmongering (and being a hypocrite in the process).

A "Republican warmonger" is bad, but a possible "Democrat " warmonger is good?

Trump is bad (in spite of his few good points) and Hillary is good (in spite of her few bad points).

1 ( +4 / -3 )

You do realize he supported the (illegal) invasion of Iraq, right?

So did Hillary, but the difference is, she was a sitting Senator, Trump was a private Businessman, so all the deaths fall on her head for that decisions good and bad.

In one post you go from criticizing Hillary for being a warmonger (and calling us hypocrites in the process) to promoting warmongering (and being a hypocrite in the process).

No, just calling out the Hypocrisy, that Bush was a warmonger and Hillary voted for it, she is definitely a know hawk. Trump has never been for any wars. 9/11 was a different story. We were attacked. So if the people prefer a war machine like Hillary, vote for her and if they want a more negotiated perspective and look and a more stand-offish approach, they will vote for Trump.

-5 ( +2 / -7 )

Hillary is a hawk. That's hard to dispute. Trump could be pretty much anything. Given the hair-trigger temper, the thin skin and the spiteful nature of this overgrown child, it's very dangerous to predict anything.

This is also a man who can tell you A in the morning and B in the afternoon after A turns out to be half-baked, impractical, rabble-rousing drivel.

A level-headed hawk or an unpredictable, tantrum-throwing spoiled brat. Not a nice choice.

3 ( +7 / -4 )

"Two candidates who are equally clueless and shouldn't be trusted to take out the garbage."

I would say that description fits Hillary Clinton a lot more than Donald Trump.

Being media-silo-fied, i.e., only reading and listening to sources which reflect an individual's beliefs and perspectives while completely ignoring sources that present info differently hardens synapses and, paraphrasing Jack Nicholson in the Shining, makes the poster a dull boy. Posts written by those who suffer media-silo-itis are repetitive and UNinteresting. In an interesting post, the writer might try to explain why he thinks a link, regardless of source, is interesting.

What in the name of non-existent, non-partisan historians claiming the Bush presidency was a roaring success.

Kudos.

Hillary Rodham Clinton, I know other words to describe her, but none I can use on this site.

Actually, Mike Pence who was in Congress at the time, also supported the war in Iraq, so he shares in the happenings, good or bad as well.

PTownsend: "In an interesting post, the writer might try to explain why he thinks a link, regardless of source, is interesting."

I think the foIlowing is vewy intewesting because most people think Hillary Clinton commands more support than Trump: "The latest weekly Rasmussen Reports White House Watch national telephone and online survey shows Trump with 40% support to Clinton’s 39% among Likely U.S. Voters, after Clinton led 42% to 38% a week ago. Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson now earns seven percent (7%) of the vote, down from nine percent (9%) the previous two weeks, while Green Party candidate Jill Stein picks up three percent (3%) support. Three percent (3%) like some other candidate, and seven percent (7%) are undecided." ( rasmussenreports.com )

"I would say that description fits Hillary Clinton a lot more than Donald Trump."

Jimizo, you apparently missed ex-Secret Servive agent Gary Byrne's account of Hillary, among many others. You think he's lying, and Hillary isn't?

-3 ( +2 / -5 )

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/False_equivalence

False equivalence is a logical fallacy which describes a situation where there is a logical and apparent equivalence, but when in fact there is none. This fallacy is categorized as a fallacy of inconsistency.

False equivalence is occasionally claimed in politics, where one political party will accuse their opponents of having performed equally wrong actions.[2] Commentators may also accuse journalists of false equivalence in their reporting of political controversies if the stories are perceived to assign equal blame to multiple parties.

Serrano: Jimizo, you apparently missed ex-Secret Servive agent Gary Byrne's account of Hillary, among many others. You think he's lying, and Hillary isn't?

Yeah but this shows you are an information receiver, and from limited sources. You have to turn yourself into an information seeker. Do some research on Byrne and the inconsistencies in his stories and the criticism he has received from Secret Service veterans and get back to us. I'm curious as to how you will handle new information from outside sources.

0 ( +4 / -4 )

OK, Super, I did some research: From the New York Post: "Byrne’s revelations have come under fire recently, with some critics doubting he had the access to the Clintons he claims he had, and that his book details do not align exactly with his testimony to prosecutors nearly two decades ago."

Well, that's it, then! Byrne is a liar and Hillary is telling the truth! lol

Check this out, Super, then get back to us ( and please watch the entire video first - it's just 13 and a half minutes long, I know this is difficult for Hillary supporters, but I have faith that you can endure it and maybe even learn something):

Stop spinning, it doesn't matter if some people find Hillary a bit more likable than Trump or if people trust Trump more, both are extremely disliked generally speaking-period. For me, personally, it's all about the Supreme Court and I would crap in my pants if this woman were to get her mitts on the Supreme Court as she would pack it with I real judges up and down the line. The woman could care less what the people want, for her it's just about the agenda and the status quo which would benefit her and her friends on Wall St.

Hillary is in Press lockdown mode. My guess is she's trying not to give Trump any ammunition. Still, will it work? The polls show Hillary is going down rather than Trump going up.

Going into the start of the 4th quarter without a quarterback is not a good idea.

Maybe all the lefties here can pool their money and elect one person to go to the Hamptons to see if she's still alive. I'm sure you guys can raise $100,000 for the entry fee.

"both candidates are lousy and lie constantly"

What does Trump lie constantly about?

"Did your original source omit that part?"

Yeah, Super, I don't usually read the New York Post. What about the H.A. Goodman video?

"Trump hasn't spent a day working in government."

"His utterly ignorant and inane barkings on crucial matters shows this."

I dunno, Trump seems to make a lot more sense than Clinton on a lot of stuff, from the economy to foreign policy. Obama/Clinton's economic and foreign policies have been an unequivocal disaster.

Actually, Mike Pence who was in Congress at the time, also supported the war in Iraq, so he shares in the happenings, good or bad as well.

Pence was a major, unapologetic supporter of the war, while, by the way, three months out Trump struck a tone of caution and skepticism. I am not a big fan. But he does have other amazing policy advisers in Gen Michael Flynn, Giuliani, Gingrich, Christie, etc. If Hillary is elected you are going to get Huma Abedin running the country.

Obama sadly, didn't learn anything, the Black community is worse off than it was under Bush and even then it wasn't as bad, but just look at all the largest Black cities that embrace Democratic policies.

Actually, a large percentage of cities across America -- whether or not anyone considers them "successful" -- have Democrats as mayors.

The idea of a black community being better off under Republicans rang a bit hollow when I looked at Ferguson, Missouri (Republican mayor) and Sanford, Florida -- where Trayvon Martin was killed and his killer was exonerated. The DoJ found that Ferguson's Republican administration was particularly corrupt and malevolent towards the black community -- tagging members will all sorts of petty violations and using them, essentially, as a "piggy-bank."

Is there an example of a Republican administration anywhere in America that can point to its minority community as living far better off than others? While people point to criminal elements in large cities, they appear to overlook the very large percentages of African-Ameriicans in those cities -- millions of people -- living prosperously.

Bass treated Jewish minority in his comment about Trump daughter. But Trump is visiting black church, not his daughters lovers.

Actually, a large percentage of cities across America -- whether or not anyone considers them "successful" -- have Democrats as mayors.

I'm not saying Every liberal run city is bad, not at all, but I am saying the largest Black communities are plagued with high crime and most of the people vote straight Democrat and have been for over 50 years.

The idea of a black community being better off under Republicans rang a bit hollow when I looked at Ferguson, Missouri (Republican mayor) and Sanford, Florida -- where Trayvon Martin was killed and his killer was exonerated.

Sorry, Yabits, but those are weak examples, most of these guys are working with a Democrat majority, just like Arnold when he was major of L.A., the man couldn't get anything done because he was swimming upstream with a Democratic congress, also, I'm not saying that Republicans are the sure fire answer to solving EVER problem in the Black community, but it's a start. You need to start or at least give a try. But I just hate when Black complain and instead of voting for something different, they just keep voting for the same pathetic politicians again and again and nothing ever gets done.

The DoJ found that Ferguson's Republican administration was particularly corrupt and malevolent towards the black community -- tagging members will all sorts of petty violations and using them, essentially, as a "piggy-bank."

Don't make me laugh, this current DOJ is the last to make ANY complaints about corruption amongst the GOP. How absurd. This is the most corrupt DOJ we have ever dealt with.

Is there an example of a Republican administration anywhere in America that can point to its minority community as living far better off than others?

Orange County and San Diego county. North Las Vegas....

While people point to criminal elements in large cities, they appear to overlook the very large percentages of African-Ameriicans in those cities -- millions of people -- living prosperously.

We get it, so why isn't it workin in Watts, Compton, South Chicago, Phillt, Harlem?

Please provide some credible proof in the form of a comparative study or article which actually shows this.

Nice! Couldn't think of a better way to right now to define Bush, Obama and Hillary. True hegomonic fossil fuel warmongers.

I guess that Saudi pipeline through Syria is postponed.

Give what a try? The nature of our system has people who would like to serve in any political office submit their proposals and policies to the voters for their acceptance. If the Republicans truly had better policies for most African-Americans than Democrats, it would not be hard for them to win support from that or any other group.

Seeing that most American cities above a quarter-million in population are run by Democrats made me think that wherever Americans gather together in large numbers, they trust Democrats more than Republicans with issues that hit closest to home.

The state of Kansas turned everything over to strict Republican, supply-side control in 2012 -- and it has been a fiscal and economic disaster. Why would African-Americans want that?

0 ( +2 / -2 )

they trust Democrats more than Republicans with issues that hit closest to home.

So Obama has had almost 8 years to help the blacks in the inner cities. He has been droning and warmongering, when he could have spent that money on new schools, hospitals and local city farms. Why can you not understand this? You must be a globalist to sacrifice the black population as you seem to want to do. Typical dreamer. Dream while others suffer under Obama's war machine.

Hillary Clinton 40.3% Donald Trump 42.6% can't wait for the debates!

Where is this from ? For some reason the non media driven polls have her consistently in the low 40's or less while the media driven polls have her mid to high 40's. State polls are also starting to show an improved landscape for Trump. If he can continue in this direction the next two weeks I think it will be a solid and permanent lead.

The GOP has had plenty of opportunities to court the minority vote. Throwing in a "why not?" a couple of months before an election isn't going to do a whole lot besides give conservatives a new deflection on message boards.

@dmacleod

I live in Orange County, it's very expensive to live here and if you want to live here, you need to do well financially. You have a very large Asian community, some Blacks, but the ones that I know are all prosperous believe in low takes and small government, now that is not to say, but from the conversations, interactions I've had with them, and I really don't know where they politically stand, but I am assuming they're not Hillary supporters.

I suggest you take a drive through Compton and South Central and go down to Orange County, you'll see the difference.

Uh-huh, so then why are most of the areas that are plagued by high crime where the larger Black communities vote overwhelmingly Democrat? If the Democrats are so good for Blacks, then why over the past 50 years are you not seeing any changes? Look, I'm not buying that BS. Democrats don't care about the Black OR the Latino vote, the ONLY thing that the Democrats care for are the votes, primarily and with good reason since these two groups are imperative for Democrats to win ANY elections. Promising to give them free stuff, income redistribution, more entitlements, keeping them on the government payroll.

But from where I live and what I have seen time and time again, both Blacks and Latinos do very well and are more conservative living in upper and more affluent neighborhoods. Less crime, better grades, better educated.

Seeing that most American cities above a quarter-million in population are run by Democrats made me think that wherever Americans gather together in large numbers, they trust Democrats more than Republicans with issues that hit closest to home.

There is a reason why many people are leaving big Democratic run cities. Los Angeles is one of them.

http://www.globalresearch.ca/the-exodus-of-people-moving-away-from-california-is-becoming-an-avalanche/5519078

But now the California Dream has become a nightmare. Californians are being taxed to death, traffic in the major cities is absolutely horrific, violent crime and gang activity are on the rise, millions of illegal immigrants are putting an incredible strain on social support systems, and the ultra-liberal government in Sacramento seems to have gone completely insane. In addition, the state faces constant threats from earthquakes, wildfires, droughts and mudslides, so it is quite understandable why so many people feel motivated to leave and never come back.

The number one destination for people leaving the state of California in recent years has been the state of Texas. And according to Ali Meyer of the Washington Free Beacon, the number of people leaving California for Texas has reached “its highest level in nearly a decade”…

The state of Kansas turned everything over to strict Republican, supply-side control in 2012 -- and it has been a fiscal and economic disaster. Why would African-Americans want that?

Now compare that state to California, Chicago, Baltimore, Philly, Harlem, DC, it's not even a close race.

lol Just like Clinton has the opportunity to hold a rally for supporters any day of the week and happens to have only one scheduled between now and the second debate.

I live in Japan, and I have no desire to make a special trip just so I can verify your anecdotal claim. Therefore, you need to provide some actual evidence via a study or article from a credible source that I can read so that I can judge whether you are telling the truth or not. Remember, you are the one that made the rather outrageous claim, and if you cannot provide proof, then I don't believe you.

That which can be asserted without evidence can be dismissed without evidence.

I happen to have been born in Detroit and lived in and within a mile of the city until I left high school -- child of the 1950s and 60s. I have some knowledge of the city's history -- and the fact that some of the worst race riots there took place in the 1940s while the city was run by Republicans. Racial conflict in Detroit was very evident even prior to that.

Whites are engaged in crime too, just a different class of crimes. Even where certain classes of crimes overlap, like the use of cocaine in powdered form (preferred by whites) and crack cocaine, the majority whites have decided the criminal penalties shall be different. It is whites in America who created the high-crime areas you mention in your posts. I saw this clearly in Detroit.

Our states have been called laboratories of democracy, and I think that's a pretty good description. Rugged individualism might be a desirable characteristic for wide open spaces like Wyoming or South Dakota, but where lots of people come together to build communities and cities, cooperation and inter-dependence will result in more successful outcomes. And we the people know this. That is why Hawaii has voted Democratic by wide margins for many decades. (Meanwhile, the aforementioned Kansas -- controlled by Republicans -- has been a fiscal disaster.)

Civic virtues and values like social justice help to explain not only why African-Americans vote Democrat, but other groups too -- such as Jews and Asian Americans.

Extended background checks for guns would help save black lives in Chicago, especially.

Stranger - Ever heard of peace through strength? ( Ronald Reagan )

You realize there was a cold war there where everyone was freaked out for years living under the threat of war, right?

And it's funny, now the excuses are coming. "He doesn't want war, he just wants to scare our enemies into peace". Yeah, right. I think someone has a bridge you may be interested in buying. Or a wall you may be interested in building...
