One cannot lead if no one follows. Trumps budget will be promptly "filed" when received by Congress. You'd think he'd have learned this by the fiasco the AHCA has become. Fundamentally, America is now leaderless.

This is not true. Trump has led the way in his first two months by issuing numerous executive orders to get his agenda rolling while Congress dithers on many issues.

Ultimately, he will get his way at the Supreme Court on the immigration ban for six countries. The AHCA will be an improvement on ObamaCare, with its lies from the get-go and costs spiraling out of control. And he will win on his budget.

Trump will be president til at least Jan. 2021. He has control of both Houses of Congress, and will very likely keep it at the midterms, particularly when considering how many more seats Dems have to defend in the Senate.

It looks like someone was impressed by the ridiculous shows Trump made of each executive order signing. Did you look past his giant signature and into the content though? Sure they included some mostly meaningless gestures toward women and blacks promising to "promote" their causes. But the rest were giveaways to corporations, Wall Street, and polluters, freeing them of regulations and legal responsibilities and basically dismantling protections put in place for workers, the economy, and the environment. But hey, at least the rich will get richer.

Aside from the scorn Republicans hurled at Obama when he issued executive orders (and aside from how ephemeral they are), the reason congress is "dithering" is precisely because the GOP cannot unite on an integrated path. There are now effectively three parties: the unified Democrats and the GOP, split irreconcilably between "moderates" (known as "conservatives" in more civilized countries) and the "freedom caucus" (known as reactionary dead-enders).

Trump's budget will be well-received by the latter but viciously opposed by both the former, so it will go nowhere. Patrick, how is Trump's agenda proceeding? I see nothing but internecine conflict and morass (not that I'm sad about it).

Ok, so in other words, partisan politics for you is more important than the safety of the country. Again, if Obama issues the same order which Trump is continuing it, it's constitutional, but Trump does it, all of a sudden it becomes a racist ban. How on Earth do you libs spin this one? Obama's order was in direct response to a credible threat. Trump's order takes that order much further in response to what exactly?

It's like the refugee issue where it's already an extremely long and exhausting process to be vetted, but Trump claims we're too lax and need to vet more when we already do. It's all a bunch of rhetoric to appear like "there's nobody tougher on terrorists."

His eagerness to prove himself is probably why he greenlit that botched Yemen raid too. Even though Trump claimed it was a great success, he tried to shift responsibility anyway, saying it was planned under the Obama administration. He was right, only he failed to mention that Obama held off because were weren't prepared yet. Mister "I don't need intelligence briefings everyday" gave the OK over diner less than a week into his presidency. And not a peep from the side that wouldn't shut up about Benghazi...

I'd say that most of Trump's supporters see this website has become a bottomless pit of hate against their President, and rightly choose not to provide profit to so biased an "aggregate news" site like the one Japan Today has become.

Besides, while you're busy agreeing with yourselves (and being hopelessly far from the reins of real power politically), most Trump supporters have better things to do (and that certainly does NOT include subsidizing left-leaning artists, programs or policies with their tax dollars.) I'm sure you've all already sent your checks to keep these "precious" programs going, right? Well guess what? They want MORE.

During the run up to the election I recall more Trump supporters posting on this site. Their numbers seem to have dwindled since the election. Do you think that's because some Trump supporters might be questioning how he's handled his presidency thus far, that they might be concerned he's turning out to be just like those who were in the anyone-but-Trump camp prior to the election claimed he would be?

I ask that because in reading different threads on this site and others, Trump supporters rarely say he's doing anything right. Instead they get defensive and use a "whatabout" defense, or claim any criticism of Trump is based on fake news, or simply say Trump's problems are because Obama or some another imagined demon is haunting him and the White House.

Based on the few posts I've read from those who've backed Trump, I have to think his middle- and working-class supporters must be pretty discouraged by the man they had hoped would actually help them. So far he's only helped his fellow billionaires and the military related industries. It's still early days, though.

Trump's policies will spur dramatic economic growth and jobs for millions. He will start reining in the monstrous deficits that Obama's responsible for through the end of this fiscal year. He will set aside disastrous government regulations, particularly at the EPA, that are damaging the economy. He will take the necessary steps to limit illegal immigration, particularly from six of the worst countries, and send home as many as possible. He has so much to do and will accomplish a lot over the next few years with Republican control of Congress, whether or not some like Graham and McCain want to get onboard. Trump will Make America Great Again.

@Patrick Hattman, that is called monkey's paw logic. Believing that baseless rhetoric and partisanship politics "improve" our country. That's ok, you'll be finding out soon enough that you'll have to lie in the bed that you made, and it won't be anything you thought it would be. Reality and consequences are the only thing that matter.

I've experienced much of what Trump believers thought would be beneficial for America, and I live in an area where I get to see how quickly things can go wrong for US citizens when the ignorant legislative choices made by our government are pushed through.

Giving up the land which you worked hard to own, or have lived on for your whole life, for a measly sum of money is so un-American. Trump's obsession with the wall, and seizing all lands which will make it happen, goes against all that our ancestors have fought for. Trump is essentially saying that land should not belong to individual citizens, but their governments. If Trump wants his wall so badly, he will have to realize that it will take years and billions of dollars to wage fierce court battles over the seizure of several citizens' lands near the border.

Trump people now say too many Asians enter USA. As they come to US by airplane, stopping them are not easy. If you are some kind of American and cling home, you may be treated as illegal at an airport.

To be honest, after going through the break down of his "budget" he's pretty much making the cold dumb choices of a corporation. But has missed the reality that the US is not a corporation, but a country with a society. The idea behind some of the items he was to cut because "their is no proof it's working" will cause severely detrimental effects on our society as a whole. One can't have a healthy country with good economy if you destroy your society. A healthy country requires a healthy society.

The only ones that think many of his "budget" cuts are a good idea, 1.) Don't even know what the programs do. 2.) Don't realize how subtle the effects that they can't immediately see drastically affects their lives.
