Which country is supplying Syria with an endless supply of sophisticated weapons and ammo?

The entire Syrian problem is created by the US insistence that Assad must go. If we would back off that demand (And just who are we to decide that?) and realize that there are many Syrians who have no problem with Assad, we could join forces with Russia, crush all revolts and create peace in short order.
