Trump maintains confidence in FBI head amid wiretap friction

Thompson Reuters made a spelling mistake. There is no 'r' in "fiction".

Investigate and then get DT apologize in public.

Probably won't apologize because of he suffers form narcissism and deluded paranoia.

Too bad no one has any confidence in Trump.

U.S. President Donald Trump still has confidence in FBI Director James Comey

Of course he does. He owes Comey bigly for throwing the election.

There's no reason for him to not have confidence in the FBI - he got his information from Breitbart who got it from some right-wing radio host. There isn't actually anything to suggest that the FBI actually did it, so there is no reason to lose confidence.

I bet the FBI is losing confidence in him though.

This whole incident has been great at diverting attention from Sessions' lie under oath, and Pence using a non-standard email server. Which was the real purpose for these tweets by the president. As they keep saying, he has access to intelligence briefs. He knows that his claims weren't true. But they were a great diversion from his people's massive screwups.

Trump has been sending two women to spin his comments. Conway and a new one. Both are saying "if" the wiretapping happened, contradicting Trump who said it happened. Both are asking for an investigation to see if it happened.

Trump = Yes, Obama is a ciminal because he illegally tapped Trump's phones Trump's spokespersons = Maybe it happened, we should have an investigation to see if it happened.

Now, everyone is focused on this and not the fact that the AG lied under oath.

It would be nice to see a criminal libel charge filed against Trump.

He is completely reckless, and the only people who couldn't see that are his supporters.

So he thinks the FBI aided in illegally wiretapping him, but he has confidence in them. Makes sense for Trump fans, not so much for regular folk.

Next Trump will ask the Senate to investigate information that he won't give them.

@serrano

Oh

my

gosh!!!

Trump should know OBAMA NEVER LEFT THE WHITE HOUSE! He's in the closet! HE HAS SCISSORS!

Obama tapped Trump's phones IN PERSON! Went in wearing a Con Ed coverall. Michelle stood guard while O spliced the lines. SAD!

Not only did Obama tap Trump's phones, he stole the strawberry ice cream out of the mess locker.

Stephen King is a MUCH better storyteller than anyone on youtube.

His administration has come under pressure from FBI and congressional investigations into contacts between members of his campaign team and Russian officials.

How much truth there is to the article below remains to be proved. But if Trump knew the media was going to report on his dealings in Azerbaijan and his connections with Russians and maybe even Iran, it's understandable why he's been trying to create so many distractions. No doubt the White House and his followers will call fake news. Let's see him prove it isn't

If an independent inquiry finds Trump has violated the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, say hello to President Pence.

Try and change the subject Trumpy! It may work for a while but your days as POTUS are numbered. Whether it's hidden tax info, lies about dealings with Russia or just more stupid ideas that waste time and money, all point to a President who won't last the first term.

"Try and change the subject Trumpy! It may work for a while but your days as POTUS are numbered."

They sure are! Less than 7 more years and 11 months!

"The White House asked the Republican-controlled Congress to examine, as part of an ongoing congressional probe into Russia’s influence on the election, whether the Obama administration abused its investigative authority."

So a right-wing radio host makes up a story with no sources, yet the MSM is fake news because it doesn't supply sources. The FBI head confirms this is not something that has happened, yet, as Serrano helpfully points out, right-wing TV pundits on FOX twist it to make it almost look like it might possibly look like an issue if the light hits it at just the right angle to blind your view of the bigger scene... and this is enough proof for our usual suspects here in comments to convince them that this is a true conspiracy that doesn't require any further analysis and should be pushed up to the highest levels of governmental investigation, while simultaneously refusing to admit any possibility that any member of the Trump team has anything at all to answer for despite weeks of revelations that clearly are nowhere near as concrete as this post-truth fact that Obama is a secret communist from Mars...

Good luck America. In the absence of the ability to think critically, all you're left with is BS... and if that's your truth, then you've already lost...

The US House of Representatives Intelligence Committee will carry out an investigation into President Donald Trump's "wiretapping" accusations against his predecessor Barack Obama, committee Chair Devin Nunes said Sunday

get used to this its only the begining. thousands more are going to jail.

Obama's denial: "Nobody in the White House ever ordered a wiretap of the individual named Donald Trump by my specific direction during daylight hours via a normal surveillance request that I actually signed by hand with an official presidential pen."
