"Putin described anti-Assad rebels as cannibals who ate human flesh"

It appears to be true that one of those rebels ate the guy's heart.

Putin is a thug (& if you believe Bob Craft, a thief as well). The West is right to confront him. Russia is a free-rider on the global order benefitting from, but contributing nothing to existing protocols.

Diplomatically, Russia, and Putin in particular, has a history of supporting the worst scum imaginable with diplomatic cover and weapons to assist in genocide.

Politcally, Russia is a democracy in name only, with those that ask uncomfortable questions finding extra holes in their heads.

Economically, apart from LNG which it uses as a tool of diplomatic punishment, Russia's three biggest exports would seem to be Kalashnikovs, Vodka, and organized crime. Can anybody tell me why they are in the G-8 beyond several thousand nuclear weapons?

If Putin and his thugocracy want to remain trapped in an 80's mindset, lets let them. You want cold? You get cold. But remember Vladimir, the days of us fearing the Red Army coursing through the Fulda Gap at a moments notice are over. We tolerate rather than fear you.

Westerners openly support Free Syrian Army i.e. Al-Queda and you have called Putin a thug? How hypocritical you are :-)

The USA and NATO puppets have a long history of aggressive wars in various countries. In Viietnam, for instance, where Soviet military advisors helped vietnamese people to fight back US aggressors.

Politcally, Russia is a democracy in name only, with those that ask uncomfortable questions finding extra holes in their heads

Whether Russia is a democracy or not, this is not your business. Do not puch your mugs into internal affairs of sovereign countries.

Can anybody tell me why they are in the G-8 beyond several thousand nuclear weapons?

I can. Russia is a sovereign country and has all rights to be in G-8. Any more questions?

Whatever you say. How dreadful! Russians are shaking in their boots :-)) What can you do except loudly farting in the air?

It would be a very wise move for the grand leaders of the Western Empire to re-read their history books and to study in detail the mistakes that were made and are still being made in the Kindoms of Antioch,Acre, Jerusalem Tripoli. Tens of thousands of lives wasted, fortunes spent on ruinous wars and eventually all for no real gain and later major headaches. Today you have Iraq, Iran, Egypt, Lebanon, Syria, Israel all about to turn into a blood bath with the Western Empire once again getting involved with far too few resources (we wont even go into the Afghani mess). So either you go in fully armed with half a million knights including every form of modern support or you stay away, because the war will come west should ye meddle around carelessly. For London, Paris, Rome and New York all host large communities of Saladins family.

How's that reset working out for you Barry?

Putin is nice enough not to point out that the weapons being supplied to the rebels by the west and their clients (Saudi Arabia for example) are likely to be exported for use in terror attacks in Europe and the USA. Will the gunpowder in the next pressure cooker bomb exploded on the streets of the USA come from bullets supplied by our own government? Going to board an airliner with shoulder mounted anti-aircraft weapons in the hands of Al-Quaida?

Yeah, and a nun stated that Syrian rebels beheaded a Christian man and fed his body to dogs.

There are many videos documenting the numerous disgusting acts committed by these terrorists. And only a very small fraction (5%?) of them are actually Syrian; most Syrians now back Assad. Those who oppose Assad are foreign fighters sponsored by Qatar and Saudi Arabia, and increasingly armed by Europe, Israel, and US.

There are consequences for either direction. Sucks that the West has to get pulled into this crap again.

Ah, yes the Saudis. Our allies and friends of democracy and religious tolerance everywhere. If they are giving missiles to the "rebels" then we should know how this is going to end. Iran/Iraq war ring any bells?

For once Putin is making some sense.

Flesh eaters armed with missiles = some sort of Zombie war game this has become.

I don't think we need to be involved in the Shia/Sunni World War.

As Sarah Palin said, let 'Allah' sort them out.

Graham DeShazoJUN. 18, 2013 - 08:41AM JST Putin is a thug (& if you believe Bob Craft, a thief as well).

Can you prove it ? Or this is only a words ?

The West is right to confront him.

The West is always right and always confront ANY independent nation US has no friends.... only servants....here the problem

Russia is a free-rider on the global order benefitting from, but contributing nothing to existing protocols.

So you mean New World Order ? Am I right ?

Diplomatically, Russia, and Putin in particular, has a history of supporting the worst scum imaginable with diplomatic cover and weapons to assist in genocide.

For example ?

Politcally, Russia is a democracy in name only, with those that ask uncomfortable questions finding extra holes in their heads.

It's not Meixico or "Free Iraq " and Russian have no "Patriotic Act"

Economically, apart from LNG which it uses as a tool of diplomatic punishment,

US used drones ...

Russia's three biggest exports would seem to be Kalashnikovs, Vodka, and organized crime. Can anybody tell me why they are in the G-8 beyond several thousand nuclear weapons?

Russia has 144 millions peoples with living standarts higher than in Poland Romania Spain or Baltic States (EU members) Surprised ? With Vodka and Kalashnikovs ?

By the way

Opposition sources in Aleppo said Saudi Arabia had also supplied the rebels with at least 50 Russian-made Konkurs anti-tank missiles

Why Russian? why not US or EU?

If Putin and his thugocracy want to remain trapped in an 80's mindset, lets let them.

Russian state is not on the brink of bancruptcy unlike US or EU or Japan... But Why ?

You want cold? You get cold.

When Russia had "warm" from Western "friends" ?

But remember Vladimir, the days of us fearing the Red Army coursing through the Fulda Gap at a moments notice are over. We tolerate rather than fear you.

Just not afraid Russia. It' good for health
