Before they refused to talk to the government, now they're begging to speak with them.

    Capitulation.

So they were happy in their homes before the offensive?

Read between the lines, I wonder who the locals really side with?

At some point in history, every species is invasive isn't it?

What if a bird flies in from Russia's Kuril islands, are they gonna kill that too.

Oh wait, that bird might get a pass.

Funny that any mention or count of civilian casualties is omitted from this article about Mosul, yet again, like clockwork.

With the Aleppo articles we get a daily tally in the headline.

Tell me more about how the MSM gives us "fair" and "balanced" reporting

    They are absolutely positively correct.

Assad presided over a peaceful country that allowed women to study in University, openly permitted all religions, including Judaism and Christianity and kept fundamentalist Islam out of politics.

Then the Jihadists (funded, trained and armed by Qatar and Saudi Arabia) swarmed in from Turkey and Jordan and now the country is a mess.

Well, not the entire country is a mess, the area that Assad controls is still relatively stable and woman can well, go to coffee shops and read books. The rest of the country, controlled by anti-Assad nutcases, is a despotic mess.

dunno why Russia wouldn't provide them with better equipment

    A. Because it would take years to train them

    B. Because the US would cry foul, "Russia is sending advanced weapons into a war zone"

Remember when Russia tried to deliver high tech helicopters to Syria and Hillary blew a fuse.

    Yeah "Duterte" paid him.

"Duterte" was wearing a black trench coat and met this guy in an alley to pay him the money.

The headline is a joke and this is part of a smear campaign against a very popular president.

Nice try, lumping in the reports attributed to the Syrian Air Force to those attributed to the Russian Air Force.

The Syrian Air Force lacks the precision bombs that Russia uses,

If you were to compare NATO vs. Russia, especially on a per bomb to per sortie basis you'd find a different story.

I notice that your report that refers to 4972 civilian casualties is titled "genocide", considering civilian casualties from the US invasion of Iraq are orders of magnitude higher, how come there are no reports (in the English language at least) refering to that as "genocide"?

suggesting that sanctions imposed on Russia over its intervention in Ukraine could be eased in exchange for a nuclear arms deal.

It's coming, why do you think Russia suddenly moved their missiles in a provocative manner.

Trump needs a pretext, so he asked the Russians to publicly give him one.

    Incompetence.

Aleppo was liberated in half the time with even fewer casualties, and the Russian led operation in Syria didn't overlook "sleeper cells" being left behind.

If so, I’d rather read corporate media and take @rbush’s advice (above) than listen to Trump and his media lackey’s reports.

Why do we only have two choices, Trump or corporate media?

Trump is not even a news source, he's a sitting president.

Just because you don't like Trump doesn't mean you have to default to being spoon fed lies by the corporate media.

You couldn't have actually believed that Russia, a country struggling to stay ahead economically, would actually start a war with the US and its enormous military, could you?

Well Putin seems willing to deploy his military throughout the world without worrying about a confrontation with the US.

In other words, he doesn't seem afraid and the US never dares challenge the Russian military directly.

Who knows, either it's the nukes, the subs or super cavitation, but the Pentagon always chickens out when it comes to Russia.

I ask because a US - Russia partnership, especially one with Putin leading Trump and the US military,

You seem to be alluding to some kind of conspiracy.

Theorize all you want, maybe even aliens from Zeta Reticuli are controlling Trump.

Actually, I expect to start hearing that soon from the left, their attempts to discredit the new duly elected president are getting more outlandish by the day.

So which is it -- Trump's view or Pence's view ?

Pence's job is to calm nerves, distract observers and quell any potential opposition.

The agenda as always, proceeds forward behind the scenes.

    Would you suggest another article

Why rely on others to do your thinking for you?

Do your own research, analysis and deduction.

    You want the truth?

You ain't going to get it from reading headlines and talking points from major news sources.

Comb through various articles, piece together facts, skim off the propaganda and the truth will become evident.

Case in point is the article above, they noted rebel sniper fire into "neighboring" areas. Use your own powers of deduction and ask yourself why Reuters would be so vague about an obviously serious and quintessential point. Even Reuters noted that the Syrian army advanced into rebel areas only after the rebel sniper fire.

The truth is actually in the article, you just have read thoroughly and objectively to piece together what actually happened.

Connecting with everyday Americans instead of lobbyists and Washington insiders.

    Trump promised and he delivered.

Granted the Swamp is desperate to hang on and hence the daily media attacks on the people's president but Trump will prevail.

Or is your post just once again another attack on free press.

    "free press"

    ROFL

In the English speaking world you have two choices Reuters (UK) or AP (US), the odd time you mind find a translated AFP (France) article.

I can figure out the truth by using deduction and logic, in this case, rebel snipers started pegging off women and children so the Syrian Army started offensive to put an end to the sniper fire.
