I'd rather see robot firefighting techniques before driverless cars.

It is extraordinary that the IS has so much firepower without being represented by a countries economy. It has no country, but never is at a loss for it's emmense funding.

That worries me. Missing out on Married With Children is just unamerican. I guess he didn't watch Charlie Rose either. Hmmm. Canasta?

They obviously find their work similar to getting employment in other fields, like high end office jobs. If you found out that the same job in an adjoining building was bing paid more to a male worker, then you'd feel short changed. If you think about it, Hollywood has been selling sex in movies since almost day one. And usually the poster is showing the hot babe with a falling strap, or legs, or whatever. The women in films are important, obviously, for many reasons. They sell tickets. And by the way, Jennifer Lawrence hit a home run in Joy. Natalie Portman is unreal in Jackie. These actresses don't want to misrepresent their sex in the business of Hollywood either. Thy feel a responsibility. We know the top women get huge checks, but they are women of power, and are standing up for their sex, not just for themselves. If you're out in the street, you don't let yourself get run over. Their salaries are public property.

I remember the day my parents took me. No warning, but as usual my father was mad because I was outside playing. Sorry dad. It's what kids did on Saturdays. Maybe if you let me know at breakfast....anyway, I think the smell of the hay and animals was the best part. You could take a walk on the sidelines and get very close to the elephants. Tent environments will always have a magical effect. I went in 1957. It was very professional. Now? I don't even like zoos. ( god, San Francisco's zoo out in the fog...wrong...)

The key word is "composed". Like you are after seven Asahi beers. Maybe some bubbling. Funny thing is whenever I experience silicon in real life, the last thing I am is "composed". Ah, Summer Brielle. Science. Always clean with no bad aftertaste. Try some today.

You're looking in the wrong direction. Look at what they plan to do with our money. Our money. Everything else is just gamesmanship. Keep your eyes on the checks and balances for the new lobbyists. And the top guests at the swearing in. Trump's main role will be to distract us from the business on the table. Maybe it's time to decide if we are the United States anymore. And if we aren't, what are we?

Middle management jobs. They decide that it's cheaper to pay fines. And, they don't stick out that much this way. Remember when Tucker introduced his automobile, it had advanced safety features. The big boys had already decided that it was cheaper to pay fines than to put in good safe materials. Air bags came out decades ago. Many decades. But it was cheaper to pay off insurance claims.

The comment about Streep supporting Polanski reminded me of my mother telling me in the early 70's she didn't like John Lennon because he supported the mafia. ( Her line of reasoning, buy a bag of weed, you support the...well you get it)

fxgal... Don't forget bout the dreaded disease, Bigshotitis. Who's getting the tax breaks? What effect will deregulation have on the middle and low income classes in this country? You deregulate an industry, you put workers lives at risk. Have you forgotten about the unsafe drinking water in Michigan? Deregulation brings forth Any Means to an end. If you've given any serious thought to the truths in life, then you realized that...The Means Is The End.

There's something about the verticality of these comments. They should be strewn about over the page like aging refrigerator magnets competing for the freezer door. Maybe Donald sees himself as the matador and the bull. It's obvious the conference technique of not using a list or questions added to the circus quality of the event, and played into bassforfunk's observation.."sit down and shut up. " Perhaps we should further blur the lines between the ghettoization of the press and the new agitprop by creating a seventh column. Since we're the sixth.

I see no one here had picked Streep's points apart. They went on jag's about "the elite." What part of her opening remarks about the diversity of people in film making do you disagree with? Most of these people formed value systems based on how they lived their first 2-3 decades before they starting work in the industry. What are the argument points that you disagree with?

Big trouble with the parents. Lawsuit. Poor management training. Thoughtless for a leader. When kids see an adult losing it, they no longer trust them or respect them. They're all in a pit together.
