@Schopenhauer That is such a ridiculous statement. Korea is sandwiched between China and America, not Japan and China. Japan is literally just a little bit larger than Korea. Korea has the 12th largest economy in the world, and larger and more powerful military than Japan.

@Schopenhauer South Korea is not sandwiched between two powers. The only superpower in the region is China, Japan is a regional power, and South Korea has also became a regional power. Japan has a twice the population of South Korea, which is not that much. South Korea has a larger and more powerful army, and dominating economy. When the two Koreas unify, Korea will have the population of more than 80 million.

How many of you know that there is an governmental agency attached to the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare called 自殺総合対策会議 or in short, Agency for Suicide Prevention, and it has an annual budget of 246 billion yen. Here's a crazy wild idea. How about we dismantle this agency alone and give back the money to the people? In fact, i have an even crazier idea, lets dismantle most of the governmental agencies and ministries and give the money back to people, cut their taxes and let the people retain the fruits of their labor and spend them the way they please? How 'bout that?

Why would anyone pay money for this BS? I can literally just make a new fake profile on Facebook, and add 5 hundred random friends from the suggested list in 5 minutes.

People need to accept the fact that social progress does not happen over night, and different countries are at different stage of their social development. Japan is like America 100 years ago, you cannot expect them to have the same understanding or views. It will take about 100 years or so for the Japanese society to catch up.

And by ''free'' they mean paid by the taxpayers. Japanese people really need to elect new people in office, someone who actually understands the basic principles of how an economy works. Some people laugh and mock people who copy others, but i would say it is far more laughable to repeat the exact same failed policies that lead to the exact same results over and over again. Smart people would copy the policies that work, and remove the policies that don't. It might have been understandable to adopt failed policies decades ago, but there is no excuse to keep adopting the same policies that have a wide history track record of failed results. Japan needs to stop copying American technologies, and start copying American policies.

The cabinet has endorsed a bill to allow property owners across Japan to offer vacant homes or rooms to tourists for up to 180 days per year by simply notifying municipalities

Japan to allow... as in, the government gives me a PERMISSION to let people stay in MY OWN PROPERTY. Who the hell are YOU to give ME a permission about what to do with MY OWN property?? Ill turn MY property into a pig stable if i want. Government officials are servants of the US the people, we give YOU a permission, you don't give US a permission.

Protectionism benefits the industry, but hurts the consumers. It's understandable why the Agriculture industry would want to protect their business, but the average Japanese should be opposed to any protectionism if he wants to enjoy a vast variety of products on a lower price. Self interest trumps nationalism.

Actually they are many barriers and obstacles in place but they are well hidden and disguised in a well organized bureaucratic protectionism. Just like everything else, deception through wordplay is the game, and noone plays that game better than the Japanese.

Perhaps Japan should eyes a new judicial reform. Their judicial system is literally at the levels of a poor african country. Incredibly corrupt, rigid and inefficient. Innocent people are indicted every day, all the time.

Easy, i just don't worry about being rude. And i don't think it's effective at all, in fact, i think it has the opposite effect, it makes me hate their products even more. One time i tried to give advice to one of the callers, and told her that they would be more successful if they just send me an email or a message letting me know that there is a new promo or new offer or whatever it is they are selling, and i can just check it on their website. I think that would be a lot more successful than calling me.
