I grew up on a farm in Kansas infested with brown recluse spiders and black widows. A red-back spider is only scary because it is out of place. I apparently brought a brown spider back with me after a trip back to America. The brown smudge on the wall left after its smooshing serves as a reminder to carefully check all of my bags before leaving another continent.

I’ve owned over 100 cats in my life and that is definitely not too far for the cat to jump down.   But the only way an owner would trust the cat to stay up there and not jump down and run off is if he put a clip on the back of its neck (which forces them to freeze), which is also why the cat has that garment around its neck (to conceal the clip).

Disgusting. If I see that cat up there I am definitely going to take it down, release the clip, and go to a Koban. The owner is obviously watching nearby but screw him if he tries to interfere. I would be arrested before I let him have the cat back.

I am not a fan of NHK, but I play piano on NHK’s ららら♪クラシック and I appeared with 宮﨑 あおい in their 蝶々さん. Yes still they beg me to pay (their guys who go door-to-door) when most of the time they haven’t paid me.

Do you think for a moment I am going to have sympathy for this person? After all the care he has for NHK, I will bet $1,000 that I have contributed directly to his enjoyment of their station (he’d know my face if he is not senile (my icon here is just my drawing)), yet he asked for $14,100?

Get a clue, guy. What’s happening to you is you don’t understand a few words (but you can infer). What’s happening out here in the real world is that us actors don’t get paid for 3-4 months after doing the job; You’d have seen it on TV before we get our money, and we too have bills to pay.

Other people are trying to make a living. Get over yourself. Just as a side-note, I used to watch TV back home in Spanish just to get familiar with a second language. I am not asking an old guy to get fluent, just that “familiar” isn’t really a bad place to be.

Quick conclusion: Kick Japan out of the TPP. If their farmers want to keep their heads in the sand, stop letting them drag everyone else down with them. Let them see their mistake for themselves in 10 years.

Every time one of these stories break you get a few loose apples saying, “Never take your eyes off your kids!!1”.

Give me a break. Every single one of us has had our parents take their eyes off us. Privacy is just as important to a growing child as a hug. And no human on this planet could ever even never take his or her eyes of another human. Get real. Like most of us, I came home to an empty house after school every day for years. When I went to my mother’s work during summer vacation I played for hours outside away from her watching eyes.

If your advice is to never stop watching a child, you will get downvoted for very good reasons. Stop being idiotic and pay your respects to a grieving mother who is as normal as the rest of all of us in how she raises children.

Sorry for her unimaginable loss. I hope she can recover soon.

Why do people who commit murder and suicide always get the order wrong? First suicide, THEN murder. It’s not rocket science.

Who said he jumped from the 3rd floor? You know that most people don’t live on the top floor of their apartments and most apartments are taller than 3 floors right? “Hey I live on the 3rd floor, but my building has 12 floors. Oh look, an elevator.” Hello?

But this guy was an ass. If he was going to stab someone he should have tested his methods on himself first. Her life is over because of him, for no reason. Sorry for her and her family.

My main beef with paying NHK is this: They don’t pay me. It took over 2 years for me to get payment for being a sailor in the NHK movie 蝶々さん. When I play piano on ららら♪クラシック it takes months to get paid. And these are shows I don’t even watch. Not only am I not watching TV at all, I am doing work for them while they take forever to pay and then come by my door and ask me to pay. I’m not having it.

My advice to all who want them to go away: Ask them to speak English. Even if they do, given that you don’t speak Japanese (as far as they know) it stands to reason that even if you can watch NHK on your PC, phone, or TV, you probably don’t. If you don’t have to meet them face-to-face at the door (for example if you use the intercom system in any decent mansion), this works also for Japanese.

The ruling still allows Japan to come back through other loopholes in time. Let’s just hope they (the government) really did want it shut down and makes excuses not to let it start again.

Thank God they caught the fűck. Let his case be testimony to the universal fact that 18-year-olds are adults, regardless of what idiotic system a country has in place for determining legal adulthood. The legal system is either correct or it is wrong. Either way, 18-year-olds are adults and need to be tried as such.

First-off, Abe, do it right this time and not visit some idiotic war shrine and piss off South Korea, who you might be able to sway towards your side in this matter.

From here out, let China be the aggressors, yeah?

When it comes to politics, Abe visiting the shrine was the most idiotic of all moves in the history of humankind. I mean you could look at the entire history of Africa and the award would still go to Abe.

Until now. Thank you China for declaring what is rightfully yours. You are are the weakest link. How long until the rest of the world says, “Goodbye”?

Laguna: He should count his stars he posted a video of himself singing on YouTube, because double standards don’t apply to self-righteous dickwads. Some of us are actually working hard to make it in this industry and we don’t appreciate it when a hack happens to be in the right place at the right time.

The percentage of alcohol in his blood means nothing at 19 unless it is 0.00%. That is the maximum legal limit for anyone under 21 in America, driving or not.

I hope the judge takes one look at his mug-shot and gives him the maximum sentence. That smirk in the face of justice just goes to show you what he thinks of the law and how far above it he thinks he is.

When Abe visited the shrines, which to me was the stupidest move of his career (he could have gotten South Korea on his side if he promised them never to visit them again, after China created its air-defense zone and South Korea was on the edge) it took America a single sentence to express its disappointment in Abe and Japan.

It took China approximately a page. “We don’t stop until we are sure the whole world can understand our viewpoint.”

Then China undermines Abe’s visit to Africa, even though America and China have never been allies and still mutually held ties to Africa, even when America and not China took Africans for slaves. China’s enemies’ influence grow in Africa but China only calls out Japan? Get off yourselves.

China asks why Japan forgives America for the bombs and China wonders why Africa would hold ties to America after the slavery. Nothing but a sign of China’s own immaturity. More Jews were killed by Germans than Chinese by Japanese and yet Jews forgive Germans. Enough China.

What does China expect of Japanese militarianism? Like the whole world would just look on if Japan tried to invade China? Japan has legitimate claims to military defense, and China is highly to blame for it. Unreasonable fear-mongering, pretending Japan is a threat at all, is just making the word “China” the new buzzword for “Childish”.

These people have been living this way for a long time and this is how they put food on the table for their families.

Very few people eat dolphin in Japan. Their deaths are pointless. If they wanted to put food on their tables, they always have the ability to farm the land and grow tea. You know, something that is actually in demand and doesn’t bleed.

She said the wig and the fake nose were intended to show Japanese becoming more accepted overseas

The ad did not offend me so I let the offended group speak for themselves since I am not really able to represent them, but I don’t really buy this. If you wanted to make Japanese look more “accepted” overseas, show them in overseas locations behaving “normally” (relative to each location).

Have them shaking hands instead of bowing. Watching the superbowl or actually bowling. Watching rugby and downing a pint.

You can never generalize a whole group of people correctly (I am American, don’t drink, never watched a football game in my life, etc.) but aiming for cultural traits rather than physical traits is just a lot safer.
