Whether is 10,000 or 300,000 it's the responsibility of the Japanese people to accept their countries terrible past inhumanity that they brought to so many other countries during the war! People here are commenting and bulk of it is blaming China for this and that... wow! How has the world changed where people blame the victim rather than the perpetrator! Based on this article China shouldn't be blamed. Japan has been trying to hide the killings for decades now. They always brainwash their citizens that nothing as bad was done by the Japanese soldiers during the war and trying to play the victim! Remember there is such a thing as Karma and sooner or later some earthquakes or tsunami will wipe out the bulk of cities and towns. Japan should be worried about those rather than trying to hide its bad history...

@Strangerland... excellent response and very insightful! The article reflects the reality of the matter ( nepotism ). Whether Ivanka's role in the White House is beneficial to the American people is another matter. Bottom line is this, it's really a bad reflection on America who were always claiming to be the leaders in ideology and moral values. How far have they dropped... God help the Americans! People who support Trump ( I used to be in this group ) would be the first to run away from the US as the economy collapses yet again and life becomes tough! They will probably go to Asian countries like Japan, HK or Singapore until things get better back home and then make the stupid choice of choosing another wrong person to lead the US!

This might be a big success in Japan because it's known globally that Japanese like to spend money on these kinds of restaurants or even fast food places as long as it's from America or some European country. The taste doesn't really matter. If the name is popular or well known then the product will sell well in Tokyo despite the quality!

@M3M3M3 ... excellent comment! You've stated the fact which many people try to ignore. Bottom line is that Japan were the instigators of the war and paid the price for it!

@Dan Lewis ... excellent comment! Finally, somebody had the common sense to state the reality! People rush to blame China for anything and everything without actually analyzing the reality. Japanese food scandal and mislabeling has been a issue which people around here turn a blind eye to. There are many Asian countries ( not only China ) who have banned Japanese food for the past few years!

If overtime is decreased in Japan and people don't work as much as in the past then it's only fair that the huge bonus which workers receive in Japan ( twice a year ) be adjusted accordingly. Only in Japan have I heard that on average office workers get almost 1 million yen in bonus! Just last December it was stated on JT that the average bonus payout for winter was around 1million yen! People can't have it both ways because if Japanese work like western country people then they can expect a similar bonus to western country people which at times are peanuts! Unpaid overtime work is another issue as this is clearly illegal so as long as the overtime is fully paid for I don't think people should complain. Bottom line is if you can't handle the pressure than find another job because the opportunities are endless if you mind is willing...

When wars are declared between countries usually the instigator(s) don't think about the economical consequences and other factors. It's pure rage and they don't care about the outcome to certain extent. People who believe that North Korea would not do so are living in their own bubble because sooner rather than later a war will occur in Asia. Be it North Korea or China who will start this off and countries like Japan will feel the first impact due to its location.

50% of Fukushima untouched with radiation? What a load of crap? Where did you get this data? Evidence? Did the Japanese Government release this information? How gullible can the Japanese people be to ignore the facts of radiation contamination...it's a rhetorical question! It seems to me that people living outside of Fukushima pretend like everything is normal and under control and turn a blind eye to the looming dangers. Only the citizens of Fukushima know the hardship they are facing day in and day out due to radiation. Even Japanese in Kansai area don't buy agriculture from the Fukushima zone yet others try to hide the contamination issue. Take a work in Osaka shops and markets and you will know what I'm talking about. Like Disillusioned mentioned there will be objections to this from developed countries who are concerned about the safety of their citizens. Maybe the underdeveloped and developing countries might be easier to persuade on this issue...

There is no real need for Japan to go through the South China Sea for this mission. It's only provoking the Chinese government and a war seems inevitable. Don't be surprised if Trump pulls back from this fight stating it's between Japan and China. End product would be loss of innocent lives. Japan could have found an alternate route for this voyage. These waters are claimed by China although there are some resistance by other countries around it but clearly not disputed by Japan so why in the first place do they need to enter this area. It's just provocation. When Chinese vessels enter disputed waters then Japan are complaining like cry babies to America and yet Japan falls to such low levels themselves... such hypocrisy!

Japan should learn something from South Korea! Corrupt politicians and businessmen are being taken to task in South Korea. In Japan these corrupt politicians and businessmen are never taken to task...shame on you Japan!

when people get food poisoning then they would realize the importance of avoiding expired food even if it's been 1 hour past the expiry! Being hit with food poisoning twice has really changed my views on the above... remember guys, luck doesn't last for ever so if you keep trying expired products then sooner or later ( or even one time for that matter ) you will suffer the consequences!

Lots of comments above related to changing the system to tipping delivery people! Let me just say this much that there are certain services in Japan that are impeccable and delivery service is one of those. These small things make Japan services one of the best in the world. There is no need to change these. Just hire more people and increase the salary of workers should solve the problem. Limiting the number of parcels would only make them lose their customers in the long run since it's a 'dog eat dog world' out there! Furthermore, workers in Japan seem to complain way too much these days. Basically most people earn around 980yen plus per hour. Compare that to some developing countries where the salary is less than 100yen per hour! Despite the cost of living and other factors I think a bit of hard work is good... I love Japan just the way it is ( despite some major and minor faults ) ...
