Ok sure, then you'd better start brushing up on your Chinese Language skills, if you are living in Japan, mate! LOL!

@Kwatt: Why the US Forces remain in Japan and since when and for how long wasn't the point I'm talking about. My point was that their presence has acted as a 'DETERRENT' against any armed aggression against Japan. And as to whether the US has some agenda for keeping forces here, again, is not the point I'm talking about.

    Thank you very much.

@kwatt: You missed the entire point of my post which was the only reason why China hasn't taken the islands by force is because of the US presence in Japan which could easily repel any attempted occupation of the islands by Chinese forces. If the US forces weren't present, the Chinese would have occupied the islands by now and Japan could do little about it except to squawk to the impotent UN. That's why China is throwing words and not handgrenades cause they aren't ready to get into any conflict if the USA has got Japan's back...and for that the Japanese and Okinawans should be very grateful.

Aircraft sometimes crash. Luckily no one onboard or on the ground were killed. And I'm sure the people of Japan and Okinawa have had a change of heart with regards to US forces in Japan now that China is breathing down their necks. And yes, if the US Forces weren't here, the Chinese would have already taken the Senkaku Islands by force.

@Reformedbasher: The phrase doesn't necessarily mean guns. It's an idiom meaning it's better to be prepared than not. But ya, if I could get hold of a Glock in Japan legally, I'd be packing! Lots of Kooks coming out of the woodwork recently!LOL!

Japan is surely safe, but as they say: It's better to have a gun and not need it than to need a gun and not have it!

The first line of defense against stalking is not the police. It is the person themselves who is being stalked. That person, after reporting the stalker to police must take defensive measures to protect themselves, the first being purchase some kind of effective defensive weapon such as a can of Mace (which is legal in Japan). Buy a few as a matter of fact, practice using it so when the time comes you won't be fumbling figuring out how to use it and at least may stand a chance. Almost as important as the first is to never walk alone, anywhere. Change your walking route and times daily so you aren't being predictable. Also, run through scenarios in your mind where the stalker attacks you and what you would do in that situation. Take a self defense course. Have your father or another trusted Male friend take you places by car instead of walking..you get the point. Home intruder alarms etc ..... All these actions will give the stalkee a fighting chance while the cops gather info needed to lock the stalker up.

Every family member of mine carries and knows how to use. It's sad that innocent people who just want to live a happy life must resort to such measures to defend themselves, but there it is.

You must ask yourself what would make a man go ape shit and stab another dude 23 times??? My guess and the oldest reason in history, the victim was probably boinking the guy's wife. He found out, then went Medieval on the dude!

Whenever I am on the train I put on an angry face like I am the foreigner who'll kick your ass if you stand to close to me. Even when trains are crowded, there is always an empty space around me.

My advice would be to act like a man, tell the woman in a strong confident voice that she's go the wrong guy. If you show weakness your f'ed. If she's physical holding me or some 'male witness' is physical ly holding me I'd say you got 3 seconds to let go before I put you down. If they don't let go, I'd break the hold strongly. Make them know I'm not f'ing around so they don't follow me. I'd then walk briskly to the nearest exit trying to blend in with the crowd, with my head down so as not to get too much on camera and probably avoid using that station for well.....a long time.

Posted in: What advice would you give to a man who is unfairly accused of groping by a woman on a crowded train? What should he do (provided he is innocent, of course)?

What a stupid comment. You or anybody else for that matter have no idea how Paul Walker was reacting to the high speed driving of the dumb ass who got himself and Paul killed. For all we know, Paul could have been telling him to watch his speed. Have some respect for the departed. Sheesh!

This rocket is going to the moon???...oh yeah, right! If you believe that, then I got some beachfront real estate to sell you on Titan. The so called 'landing' will take place in some huge secret TV studio made up to look like the surface of the moon! LOL! Remember the movie Capricorn One with OJ!

@Bookowls said: "You imply that speed is the reason why and yet there is no report of any speeding being witnessed."

As quoted from the LA Sheriff's department: "Speed was a factor in the solo vehicle collision," the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department said in a updated statement late Saturday.

The driver was definitely speeding. What Paul Walker was doing while the speeding was going on ..well we'll never know. Hopefully as I mentioned above, he was telling the driver to slow it down.

Unfortunately we will never know what was happening inside of the car. For all we know Paul could have been telling the driver to slow it down...at least I hope he was. Again RIP!

@ Graham: Although I am a fan of Paul Walker and the F&F franchise, I must agree with you. If they were driving on a closed track, that would be different, but speeding on city streets, they should have known better especially the guy who was driving, a supposed Pro Race Car Driver. RIP all the same Paul.
