More expensive for consumer, consumption going down and cutting companies' profits. They will then give tax breaks to companies and will have to lower taxes for everyone, less money in the government coffers. Military and Medicare shouldn't change or increase but will cut in infrastructure (DT promised he will build roads, railroads, airports), education (manufacturing jobs do not need high education but skills), environment protection (who needs a clean environment right?), social security/unemployment (everybody will get jobs anyways, right?),

Size and proximity are 2 factors but need way more than this. Right chemicals elements, right chemical evolution before biological evolution. Some other planets probably had the same privilege we have. The priviledge to be alive and complain about trivial stuff on forums.

I have contradictory thoughts about it. Those countries are not in difficultly because of climate but because groups of people (governments & rebels) starve their own population. By continuously pouring food and money to those countries, nobody is taking responsibility. On the other hand, you have people suffering.

SaikPhysco: "Police have arrested suspects including Mexican nationals for their alleged involvement in the smuggling."
No mention of other nationalities. You can assume the others are Japanese and since it is 230kg, probably the anti-social forces are involved.

Why isn't there a flow of illegal immigrants from Canada/European and Asian countries?
That's because the standard of living is higher.
US is better off uplifting the standard of living in Mexico. Make working in Mexico a more attractive place than being an illegal in the US.
Building a wall is not going to stop illegals especially if you make border countries being economic hellholes by stopping making business with them.
As for illegals with criminal offenses, yes, they don't deserve to stay. It is probably the only point I would agree on.

His base is not going to fact check anything. FOX IS not going to explain anything. During campaigns exaggerating facts or use lies is OKish by our standard now but can the bar go lower? DT is showing us this is possible.

While some people will decry globalism, free and fair trade/freedom of movement are the way to go compared to the current isolationist tendencies (pointing finger at you UK/USA).
We are already a global culture with exchange of ideas but goods are hindered by too many barriers.
We also need more transparency.
I only hope other countries are not going to fall for isolationist demagogues (pointing finger at you France/Netherland).
All that said, I welcome cooperation between the EU and Canada.

He needs some sort of ban to save face. Whatever ban would do.
With Pakistan being victim of ISIS lower down in the news, I wonder if he will include that country this time.
Probably not because the US still needs them in fighting Talibans.
Same for Saudi-Arabia because they not only have oil but invest heavily in the US (almost all petrol dollars come back to the US economy minus a cut from the Saudis).
Trump promised a muslim ban but went for a few low hanging fruits.
The ban is not making the country safer. Better control and intelligence does.
