too bad the bleeding-heart European politicians are messing around. They are literally sacrificing their own women and children to exhibit their romantic vision of "diversity" and virtue signalling.

Meanwhile, animals like Erdogen are using Turkish immigrants as weapons and warn Europeans will not be safe to walk in their own streets soon.

    And he's getting his wish.

I'm sure their high death rates (non-suicide) "have nothing to do with not being accepted by society" too. In my home area, it's common for transgenders to be curb-stomped in parking lots.

A shocking statement if true, Suzanne Starr. May I ask where your home area is so that I can do a little research where transgendered are being routinely murdered in such brutal fashion? It must be in the news.

@gokai - their suicide rates have nothing to do with not being accepted by society and everything to do with deep-rooted mental sickness. Look it up.

predictably, a few posters here react with histrionics without reading the story.

The raid being honoured here is the famous Doolittle raid which did little material damage and as far as I know, resulted in no Japanese deaths. However it lifted the spirits of Americans after months of setbacks beginning with the sneak attack on Pearl Harbour.

@clamenza, transgenders could live happy lives if we let them. I doesn't bother me at all, and I can be friends without any problems. They harm nobody. There are too many people who think you are sick if you are not JUST LIKE ME!!! I AM NORMAL!!! BE LIKE ME!!!

@gokai - transgendered don't bother me in the least. Thats not my point. My point is they are deeply troubled and in need of psychotherapy, as their devastating suicide rate shows.

I identify totally as totally male even though in my mind "male" and "female" are cultural constructs.

"male" and "female" are biological constructs. Always will be.

Transgenders are deeply troubled people who need psychotherapy, not sex change operations which are permanent. Its no secret why a full 40% attempt suicide at some point.

To the two experts. In your expert knowledge then neither China or NK are threats?

I doubt my expert knowledge would go down well with ultra-nationalists.

Trump doing the same, draw attention to foreign threats.

Oh where do I start with this little nugget?

    there are a handful, but lets all congratulate randomnator for excusing Abe and going right to the heart of the matter;

    Trump.

Yes, sure, he has nothing to do with Abe's scandal. OK, maybe he has little to do with North Korea. And yeah, OK, he hasn't been in the news for foreign threats as a means to deflect anything.

    But Trump.

Amazing, nuanced argument on the story at hand.

These drills should be happening from Fukui to Aomori,

But they are not. Can you tell me why there weren't drills held in every single school in Tokyo?

If Japan didn't do drills like this, and then an attack or something were to happen, people would criticize Japan for not anticipating it and not preparing for it.

An attack is not imminent. N Korean leaders know that they would be destroyed from forces within or outside of the country. Its nothing but posturing.

And in any case, a bunch of farms in Akita are not in the crosshairs.

Sorry, I missed the part of the article in which Kirsten Stewart saying she is gay in any way involves someone trying to sell something to you.

You may have also missed the part where she is trying to sell a movie right now.

Oh! and I forgot; I would like to thank everyone who gave me a thumbs up. Its really not that important for me, but just knowing there are others out there who support my heterosexual lifestyle gives me hope in times when I read so much negative stuff.

Now if you'll excuse me, theres something in my eye.....
