Hucking loogies into the kitchen sink. Disgusting.

I'd say it's about time they employed a few folks who speak a little English at these tourist hotspots. The ability to communicate..that's all you need..not be able to discuss the finer points of Plato. Self-translating megaphones? Come on now..

Very thankful that they found the little lad alive.
I was coming to be convinced that the parents had done away with him. I'm not about to beat myself up about it, though. They're the disgusting side of human nature.

These people and their whole story simply stink of no good. But I'll keep my theories to myself. I am curious though...why weren't tracking dogs brought in before (A) it had rained heavily and (B) before the area was saturated with the scents of a large group of searchers?

Terrible. Now, let's spare a thought for the poor conductor who saw it all.

No failure on the part of the police, although they might be revising how thoroughly or often they patrol the train staion area. Oodles of failure on the part of the parents, though. These kids were practically offered up on a silver platter to this sick barstud.

He's done it before, overnight nonetheless, yet his parents/mother let him play out of sight and unsupervised, outside, at 7:30 in the evening? I just can imagine the "yeah, he wanders off from time to time but he always comes back" attitude. I hope he's found safe.

There's no doubting that he was wanting to make a statement of some sorts. But if he'd wanted to kill as many people as possible or really grab attention then why didn't he sit in or move up to a car in the middle of the train? Witnesses also report that he was agitated for quite some time prior to dousing himself and even told people to leave the car. I would also speculate that most of the folks in the car clicked as to what he was up to and got the heck out of there, pronto, which is why there weren't more deaths. Also, see the TV footage to understand, but why on earth was the connecting door left open?? Anyway, I hope the real reason is revealed to the masses soon. I doubt it's anything to do with his pension. That reason just doesn't seem to carry enough weight.

"We've only got one floating anchor thingy and we need two to stop you being flipped..or something..oh n the steering is broken, you're almost out of reach of the coast guard, we certainly can't help you, and the weather looks pretty darn bad. To top it off, we have a bad feeling about everything." You think?

Once it's been cleansed again, maybe they should keep on top of it so it doesn't go to the dogs...again. However, with any huge influx of tourists/guests there is inevitably going to be a number who fall foul of scams or unscrupulous establishments. It can be limited, though, by keeping these dodgy characters on their toes and shutting them down before they get anything even resembling a foothold.

I really want to know where the meat ends up. Do the the folks in and around Taiji hoover it up like there's no tomorrow? Is it processed, mislabeled, and sold to canneries as something else? Is it in our kids lunches? Where does it go??

Seriously? Even though the dogs are now in "home quarantine" (not allowed in the garden??), they could easily stick the dogs in an official quarantine shelter until he can fly them out. I don't understand why they have to be killed.
