Change your opinion? No. Mostly looking to make an example of how far someone will go to sell themselves out so they can support a man like Donald Trump. You are reaching new depths recently.

Until an alternative and better solution comes around, yes or will you use your money to subsidize the millions that work in the industry. Hope you saved up a lot of cash.

See? You normally don't talk like this. I'm surprised you say that you want the government to pick and choose winners and losers. If you do some research you might be able to find the GOP's talking points instead of guessing so much. Guessing leads to you ultimately contradicting yourself and then getting angry at us for not going along with it. All to help the GOP present a position you disagree with.

Remember, when Trump loses in court it's not because his actions are unconstitutional it's because of activist judges or conspiracy theories....

Probably one of the many reasons why Trump's approval ratings are imploding while his dishonesty ratings are skyrocketing.

Coal is a dying industry because more and more companies and governments are choosing to not use it. Removing regulations won't change that, it will just give false hope to a lot of hard workers who would be better off decoupling their livelihoods from the industry. All Trump is doing is kicking the can down the road and telling us he's solved the problem.

We'd be better off just shutting down coal and giving direct cash payment to coal workers. That way the GOP can give them their free government handout but my lungs won't be worse because of it.

And bass, no, you don't support coal. The GOP supports coal so you're forced to fight for them because party before country, but as a person, no, I can't imagine you support giving subsidies to dying industries that will pollute the environment.

So after getting your marching orders you come to message boards and get utterly destroyed by people who have actually read about the issue. Now you're forced to look at scientific evidence and say, "Yeah, man, like, that's just your opinion" because you don't have anything to support your position other than "The GOP likes it so it must be good....for some reason....just give me a second here...."

I can't read your Forbes link since they won't show content if you have an adblocker, but the link reads, "Atlanta" so my guess is it doesn't match up with the point you are countering which is about red states and blue states. In that sense you're right, not even close.

And did you post something showing the number of blacks in prison vs. whites? No clue why your mind went there. We weren't talking about race at all, just how different areas do under different parties. And of course cities that have large numbers of minorities aren't going to vote Republican. They think you are racist.

The rest of your responses are mostly gibberish that don't match up with the points I made. You might be better off starting your own thread with that information.

As for every other statistic I listed, I suppose all of that stays in place. Looks like blue wins in a landslide. Red states are fatter, die earlier, suck more of my tax dollars, have dumber people, more in jail, and more pregnant teens. Other than that, the GOP kicks ass.

bass: Depends on who you are asking, liberals, conservatives, mixed, men or women, minorities, people of various religions, location, which organization etc.

heh He still doesn't get it.

Every blue state urban city where minorities live, the crime rate is off the charts. Now that is sad.

Time to put this to rest as well.

    https://theprogressivecynic.com/2014/08/15/red-america-vs-blue-america-state-maps-illustrate-the-difference/

Red/conservative states have higher crime, lower human development (health, education and income levels), tax contribution, higher poverty rates, lower economic mobility, lower levels of education, much lower life expectancy, higher rates of obesity, diabetes, stroke, and heart disease, higher teen birth rates, higher incarceration rates, you name it.

This might be part of the problem, the fake news being spread on behalf of conservatives: http://www.snopes.com/crime-rates-democrats-vote/. You've also been well trained to look at the entire comparison with just one variable: Chicago. It's the only piece of information I've ever heard a conservative use, and it's something the Right has pounded into the head of their followers such as yourself to distract them from aggregate data.

You're free to decide that you personally just don't believe the data if that helps you cope. Or, perhaps, just talk about something else.

Should we tell them that there's a difference between election polls and opinion polls? One requires you to actually show up and vote, which makes the number not as certain, the other is just asking your opinion. Trump fans won't understand, so maybe we should just continue to smile and wink when they say it. ;)

bass:. The polls also said, he could never win the presidency, they also said after the groping scandal, he couldn't win, the polls say a lot of things and what they have taught us during these last years is not to put a lot of faith into them.

I support you 110% on this. You're doing the right thing and people are on your side. Double down when necessary and don't compromise.

bass:. come up with alternatives that will get these people a way to have a lucrative financial income where they can pay their mortgage and feed their families.

And which part of Trump's plan does that?

As I've said before, it's cruel how the GOP trots these people out when they know coal is a dead technology. They don't have the guts to be honest with them so they've created a special group of benefits just for them (and their votes) which goes against their supposed free market platform. I'm guessing coal workers are predominantly white?

Trump's approval ratings are around 37%, and more than 60% feel he is untrustowrthy. Those numbers will most likely continue in the wrong direction for Trump. We need to make his supporters the extreme minority and bring out all of their insecurities and racism.

Nunes needs to go. A secret source at the White House that he won't share with his own committee? Heading over to brief Trump on new developments before his own committee? Part of Trump's transition team?

But he will most likely stay. Trump fans don't care about any of that. They enjoy the fact that it's an openly corrupt process.

Coal is a dead technology. Jobs have been declining for decades with or without regulation. The GOP trots out these coal workers as a way to get votes in places like Kentucky.
