Police quoted Kanoa as saying he couldn’t remember the incident because he was drunk.

    Spoken like a true local.

Even with shingles they won't give her a break. From what I've heard, shingles in the belly area can be very painful.

There's already thousands of cameras littering stations. The rate at which money's thrown away despite the fact that the Tohoku region is still in dire conditions is mind numbingly preposterous!!

The people in Tohoku deserve more help, but I believe the money for this program and any money for Tohoku relief would come from different coffers.

Just watched Logan today. It was fantastic. Right up there with Nolan's Batman trilogy, maybe even better.

I bet it got a laugh at the time and nobody except her thought anything more of it. It's all very unfortunate.

John Montgomery, so if I call you a jack@ss in a crowded room and everybody laughs but you, does that make it OK?

What a moron! I'm very pleased the university reacted with zero tolerance for his stupid behaviour.

I can't be mad at the kid. We read so many stories that end in tragedy. At least this kid had the independence and courage to leave, and what an adventure it looks like he had. If I had found him, I probably would have given him a meal and sent him on his way with a few bucks.

That was an awkwardly long handshake. The look Abe had when Trump finally let go of his hand was pretty funny.

I like the original, but the plots in the last few seasons were ridiculous. The reboot that they did a couple of years ago wasn't pretty good and rekindled my interest in the series again. So far, after watching the first episode of this new series, it looks pretty good.

This is backwards, the music industry should give to music schools, not the other way around.

Where I'm from, if you're sick with the flu, the employer wants you to stay at home. In terms of industrialized countries, Japan has got to be near the bottom in terms of the way they treat their workforce.

I missed the last bus to Aomori when I was hiking around Oirase falls. I was stranded by myself, and it was getting dark and cold. I thought I was going to have to spend the night sleeping in the "witches house". Fortunately, I saw a JR bus coming along the road. I ended up staying the night at an old ryokan in the area and woke up to an 10 cm blanket of wet snow. I learned to always check the bus schedule when off the beaten track after that experience.
